Any bank advert turns my stomach. They sell themselves as your friendly partner “helping you make a home,” but they never show the repossessions, the threatening letters, or the stress they put ordinary people through. I still remember receiving those letters myself during a rough patch not long after the same banks nearly brought Ireland to its knees in 2007.

I could share worse stories, but most people probably wouldn’t believe them. A horrible shower protected at every level, never held to account.

The Spar Christmas ad, (all the lights are coming on now) is back..really hate the way that song is sung, mournful and depressing. Can't reach for the remote fast enough.

Sorry, have to disagree… it's a Christmas favourite of mine. The message of finding Christmas and coming home resonates with those who are overseas, or in my case, whose families are overseas. It's definitively Irish without being "Oirish"
It knocks AI squirrels and carrots into a cocked hat!

No trees were harmed in the posting of this message, however a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.
