    2024 Bullocks.jpg

Weighed 7 Jan/Feb '24 dairy beef bullocks today. They are 5 Ch & 2 Lim.

They had a knock at 9 months (2nd weight) where there was an issue with the water supply into the shed during their first winter that went undetected for a few days and it really knocked them back at the time. I should really have been weighing them more regularly, but I've not yet got sufficient handling at the out-farm to do so.

Are they far behind where they should be? I've split them into two pens - 3 averaging 423kg and 4 averaging 487kg. The 4 are getting 3kg/day of 16% blend and the 3 are getting 4kg/day of same.

Haven't got around to getting the silage tested yet. They haven't been dosed yet and are not exhibiting any indications of any burden - no loose dung or coughing.
