Woke up from a sleep to find it's delayed again 😆

What the hell are you doing sleeping in the middle of the day?

If they stopped laying off staff they'd have a chance of actually getting it out

LMAO. They need to stop announcing release dates for this thing until they’re like a month away from shipping.

I cannot do that it would wreck my internal clock.

I wonder if every trailer until release will have a different date at the end of it.

The PS4 wasn’t even out when GTA 5 was released. If someone told you that the follow up would be out in 13 years and close to the launch of the PS6 you’d have laughed at them.

I expected this to get delayed, was hoping for a summer release, now I'm not too sure, this might end up been pushed to 2027.

Gonna need a PS6 at this rate.

This should give them enough time to port RDR1 to the Wii.

Love is indeed a Long Road…!!

Never upgraded past a PS3 myself, but was gonna make the jump when this finally releases…. so looks like I'm getting a PS6

How much will this game cost guys and girls ?

And will it be more bugged than C64 Robocop ?

I think it'll be the same as other new AAA games - so ~€80.

They won't want to put off people by charging more IMO. They will undoubtedly have fine tuned their micro transaction model so it'll be all about drawing as many into the net from day 1, and then they'll make the real money.

€80, the new normal? **** off with that ****.

    Plus microtransactions.

Just don't buy the **** game at that price. Have a damn spine.

Rumours circulating that GTA 6 launch will be digital only "to avoid story leaks"... sure, thats why. Looking less likely I'll be getting it on launch.

Real life US is so bizarre right now that GTA6 will seem pedestrian by comparison when it launches.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,551 ✭✭✭✭AndyBoBandy

probably why it’s delayed…. Constantly having to update the content to keep up with the utter madness that is real life America these days!!!

In 2013 O’Bama was 5 years in and everything was……. not so ‘batsh1t crazy!!

The final season of the Boys and GTA 6 have a lot to live up to, and it's nothing to do with the quality of the show/games so far!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,551 ✭✭✭✭AndyBoBandy

same but I built the PC myself….

Will probably be out a good year after the console versions release so still a while to go…

The Iraq war had just ended with 100s of 1000s dead.

Around that time there was the Sandy Hook, Washington ship yard and Aurora shootings, the Boston marathon bombing, the Ferguson Missouri riots, the Edward Snowden leaks, Hurricane Sandy……..

Anyway, when can we preorder this?

Read an interesting article re: the delays on GTA6. What the article were suggesting is that because the release of GTA6 will kill GTA5 and the associated online, which is a huge money-spinner for Rockstar, they are delaying the release of the single player until the new online platform is completely ready to go.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 37,850 ✭✭✭✭Penn

Yeah it's the same reason why they took their time (all 13 years of it) making GTA6. They were in absolutely no rush because GTA Online has still been churning out money all this time.

The GTA6 single-player is what gets people in the door to the multiplayer, especially those (probably like me) who tried GTA Online when it first launched a month or so after GTAV and found it so cumbersome and poor in those first few months that they never went back to it, even though it got a lot better afterwards. So they're going to really try and get the single-player right too in order to entice those people to give this version of Online a try, and then take what they've learned from GTAV Online to try retain more players long-term.

I've tried to get into GTA Online about 4 times and given up after a couple of hours. Just doesn't interest me at all. Then again, I'm not the market. I never play games online.

Wouldn’t surprise me that they coast on this game and don’t release another game until the 2040s.

Tbf even at that it'll still be out before Winds of Winter.

I'm the same. I tried it a bunch of times at launch. Even leaving aside the absolute sh*tshow of trying to actually join and stay in the Online mode, I just wanted to tip around doing missions solo if I could. Kept having to do races and the likes to build up credit to buy weapons and level up XP to access new missions and stuff. Then you're driving around and someone randomly puts a bounty on you. I eventually just tapped out and said it's not for me. Can't be arsed with playing online any more these days.

And I'd say similar to GTAV, they'll forego any DLC for the single-player and just mostly focus on Online post-launch. Maybe add a few new cars/weapons they add to Online into the single-player mode but that'll be about it.

I would note in addition to the above that obviously, I didn't really expect GTA Online to be anything other than people blowing the sh*t out of everything and trying to kill everyone once you're in the open-world map. I just find GTA more fun when you're the blower-upper and the fulcrum through which all the absolute carnage and mayhem in the world pivots around, rather than just essentially a limitless free-for-all battle royale.

It's my sandbox. Get out of it.
