Na Fianna win at the death again last night. Sign of a good team to never give up but they can't keep pushing their luck

Loughmore vs Nenagh today in the Tipp county final.

Should be an interesting battle, Loughmore favourites as defending champions but Nenagh have a team who on their day can win.

Nenagh have a history of bottling it on the big occasion, for a big hurling town they've only won it twice and no win for 30 years. Loughmore are tried and trusted and generally turn up on the day and should have enough to get over the line lead by all the McGrath's.

Ratoath win the Meath senior hurling final replay against Kiltale 2-22 to 4-10. Kiltale scored 3 goals in the last 10 minutes or so to make it a little closer than it possibly should have been from Ratoath's perspective given that Kiltale played the last quarter with 14 men. Having waited over 60 years for their second senior hurling title, Ratoath now have two in a row.

Seemed like a ridiculous end to the Mayo final replay yesterday. Westport were 10 up with 10 to go only to lose by 1.

All Ireland Senior Hurling Club Championship will be wide open with some big guns like Ballyhale, Ballygunner, Na Piarsiagh and current holders Na Fianna among others in contention

Galway senior final between St Thomas's and Loughrea with the winner qualifying for the All Ireland Semi Finals 😠

Next Sunday a massive Munster Championship QF between Na Piarsiagh (Limerick) and Ballygunner (Waterford)

Leinster Championship starting the weekend after

Nenagh are big bottlers but theyve only won one.

That goal will finish things. I think. Loughmore to win

Went down to Kilkenny final today hoping for an epic. A very poor contest, O'Loughlin's brought very little, their fowards made almost no impression aside from a couple of flurries from Fionnan McKassey. Couple of other forwards they have on the Kilkenny panel were ineffective.

Ballyhale just eased away in the 2nd half without being in top gear themselves. Very stong in defence, particularly Darragh Corcoran and Richie Reid in the HB line. TJ was TJ, Eoin Cody was very hit and miss but got the killer goal. Adrian Mullen played midfield and was barely involved.

Last 10 minutes got messy with a few rows breaking out. Poor quality fare for a KK final.

first goal was a little lucky , the second goal was a great finish , with the arch rivals winning the intermediate championship there could be a few more trophies heading out west before the end of the year in munster

i was keeping tabs on it and it seemed a poor enough game , was expecting much better form o'loughlins , it will be hard to see the shamrocks getting beat in leinster i think

In Ulster today Loughmacrory won in Tyrone, Madden in Armagh, and Scotstown in Monaghan a.e.t. Yesterday Erne Gaels won the replay in Fermanagh. So all the Provincial matchups in the Senior are now confirmed.

In the Louth final Sam Mulroy's Naomh Máirtín had a easy win over the Newtown Blues today.

Very disappointing game considering the amount of intercounty panelists playing. The weather obviously didn't helped but too much fumbling and aimless striking.

Eoin cody and paddy deegan definitely don't like each other, mouthing all game.

Who is favourite for the club football is anyone's guess with so many big guns gone and new winners.

Balkyboden, dingle kilcoo and the roscommon champs will be up there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,366 ✭✭✭Jizique

    Moycullen in with a shout.

If Loughmac don't celebrate too much, their youth could take Kilcoo in Omagh, but one has to think Ulster is opening up for Kilcoo

Only one Kerry winner in the last 30 years, Crokes in 2016/17. Dingle represented Kerry in 2023, but lost to Castlehaven in the Munster final on penalties.

I don't know about that. The Dublin final was a very high standard. Best club game I've seen this year. They'll give anyone a game and the KK championship seemed very lackluster this year.

Was surprised how far na fianna were pushed , they will have a big say in Leinster, the Kilkenny final was poor enough

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 42,450 ✭✭✭✭PTH2009

The format is so frustrating for the whole AI

Loughrea can go on the piss for the next few weeks while the others bate the **** out of each other in the provincials

Can see a surprise in Leinster, a lot of good matchups

First round in the Leinster football championship tonight in dr Cullen pk , willy Mullins's club old leighlin lost out to the experienced portarlington of laois , the laois men head to Dundalk next Sunday to face st martins of Louth,

Port are a fine side but they lack a scoring forward but having lads like paddy O'Sullivan in the ranks help big time

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 24,377 ✭✭✭✭dxhound2005

I think the Martins v Portarlington will be in Ardee. And it is on Sunday 16th.

I know Im gonna sound like a sore loser but he was a joke. It was always goona be a game where the defence was gonna be on top but letting them do whatever they wanted ruined the game.

The Leinster QF's in football. Dublin clubs won the last 5 finals, 2020 was cancelled.

I think only Finbarr's Cork and Cuala have both All Irelands but not in the same years.
