You're not doing too bad getting till the end of October.

My Seasonal Affective Disorder registered the slight chill in the air at the end of August!

That must be Nigel with the brie...

They need to start making crisp bags smaller. It is getting stupid now when you open a bag and see all the empty space and just one cornerfull of crisps.

wondered when or if this weather will clear up to facilitate a walk to the far shops later this evening. Accuweather, Met Éireann, and Yr all with conflicting forecasts, guess I’ll just be gazing out the window once in a while after 7. As reliable a method as any seeing all the different tales the forecasters are telling us.

Being tailgated on a dual carriageway with absolutely no other cars on it. If you're in that much of a hurry, overtake and go on your way, otherwise pull back and adjust your speed.

What the hell is going on with Northbound Irish rail services from Connolly station this week? Every single day this week the train has been running late.

I'm not the best for getting over to sleep. A sleeping tablet and Spotify or a sleep story on YouTube helps. It goes grand till my earbud battery reaches 10% and some Chinese lady shouts in my ear, BATTERY LOW!!!. I jump wide awake. Like tonight.

Because I'm shopping in the local for multiple ppl currently, I get to the counter put the first set of items on the counter and get the rest out of the bag to put on the counter once I have paid/bagged the first round. I always start by saying "I'm paying for these separately".

No response but a worried look when I start to pick up the items while I wait for them to tell me the total, ffs its not like I didn't foresee this and said at the start the I was paying for these separately!!!!!!!!! * I was not gifted with a soft voice so no reason for them not to hear me.

Its grab and go place in the middle of things, I CANNOT be the only person buying for different ppl and paying separately. GGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRR

Sometimes I wonder if its bc of my silvering hair and increasingly useless reproductive organs( if you know you know)

Decided to shop around for switching gas and electricity suppliers. Went to log into my Airtricty account to see my latest bill and how much per unit I'm paying. Reckoned my username was my email address but couldn't remember my password. No problem, just click forgot password and I'll reset it. Had to put in my email address and wait for a 6 digit code. This arrived promptly so I put in the code and got back "cannot verify your email address", the mail they use to send all my bills to as well as competitions etc!. Tried clicking forgot username and got the same message!

Its heartening to hear that I'm not the only one that gets messed about with logins and verification codes.

Recently set up an online banking account where they required more information like passport and recent bill. So this idiot thought that I could upload that info once I'd logged in. So try to log in and I get as far as the usual wait for the code page and after some effort got the code on my phone (have to go up the road for coverage) and put in the correct code. Get told something is wrong and to ring them. Turns out you can't log in until you have sent them the ID info in an email. So if I can't log in why tf did they send me a code to log in?

Wake me up when it's all over.

My AIB online account occasionally asks me to verify my mobile number. I can see the number is correct so I click confirm. It sends a code but it never arrives.

Badly designed websites. I designed a few for myself in my early infatuation with computers and the internet. Of course I sought advice on how to do it before I started. One piece of important advice I still recall: make sure the user can navigate easily. Avoid bells and whistles.

Now I frequently come upon sites which send you around in circles and sites full of clunky graphics. As space and speed expand, so does the content to fill it. Convenience, how are you?

So it's the day after my 10 hour chemo session and I'm always flattened this day. You lot have gone and done it to me again. Bredabe is the culprit today. Pmsl at her increasingly useless reproductive organs.

Play YouTube on the phone you get one or two three second ads. Steam it to the TV however it's riddled with ads.

A couple of years ago I bought a multi pack of socks, heavier type for winter. All the same mostly black, 5 or 6 pairs.

Unfortunately I didn't put them all in service at the same time, so now after washing/drying I find myself trying to pair them according to different degrees of fade 😀

Time to get ruthless and sling them or just not care. But they're quite warm and comfy. Tesco/Dunnes best😁

Fireworks have scared the two wild cats that I feed. I’ve let them into the back hall for the night. I know lots of people love them but, for me, the negative effects on animals ruins any enjoyment

They are also illegal here. If the government actually enforced the laws here with fines (forget prison) then maybe they could pay for a better police service. Instead we give everyone the excuse: sure if X is ok, then why not Y. And we let society slide into oblivion.

"it is a crime to use fireworks in Ireland without a license, as the sale, possession, and use of most fireworks are illegal for the general public. Those caught can face up to five years in prison, a fine of up to €10,000, or both. Only low-hazard (F1) fireworks like party poppers and sparklers are generally permitted for public use."

This x10000, the usual bangs and explosions during th evening, some jackass set some off in his back garden a in housing estate surrounded by other estates at 3:45 am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it was 6 am by the time the various dogs stopped barking and whimpering.

I'll bet some of those houses are still vibrating! least annoying about this is that hes a members son!

Not a ta as such but: a couple of postings from the same user name on local freecycle, early detection pregnancy test, never used baby equipment(new born) and infant clothes.

Tells a story(ies) right there and I so want to give her a hug, but in this day and age that would be creepy!

The downside of living next to a Greenway. Kids think (probably rightly) that no one is going to catch them there when they let fireworks off.

Now that all the hype around Halloween is behind it, they can really ramp up the Xmas hype. 2 months of it.

Google shows a trending search result about a 2016 film called Misconduct.

I click the link... the trending 'misconduct' appears to relate to a Doctor in the Midlands!

elderly relation died days back but weirdly no info being shared from their family and still no listing on RIP,ie..nothing on the parish website or local undertakers one. No autopsy required as was an LTI.

Whilst it’s a difficult time, I’m sure everyone would appreciate the opportunity to reschedule stuff they’d planned next week, but nobody outside their immediate family has a clue what’s transpiring..🤔

Loads will need time off work, arrangements around family etc…

I was on Capel Street/ Abbey Street in Dublin a couple of days ago…the Boar's Head was already fully decorated and lit up. Very nice, but it's not Christmas!

It seems to be a constant march from one commercial holiday to another… if you allow it.
