There's a mint one on C24 from a professional jeweler in Poland (EU so no taxes) asking €11,950 on C24 just serviced and with a warranty, with free secured shipping to Ireland. Watch only. The "suggest a price" button is enabled, so would expect to get that for about €11k, perhaps a touch over. I would offer a bit under

Which would make a private sale with no service history and no warranty in the EU no more than €10k. Full set of course worth a bit more, but not that much, although it would make it much easier to sell

Indeed. Although the sub is nowhere near as liquid as it was a few years ago. I'd say fully liquid (cash in your hand or bank account within 24h) in Ireland only if you chop 20% off the price of the cheapest worldwide on C24. Used to be 0%

Posting these as a heads up on the off chance one of the locals might have an interest.
I'll be listing these for sale (in the case of the Sinn relisting) in the next week or so.

There is of course a deal to be had for a parishioner 😉
The asking for the Omega is €3250 and Sinn at €2250 .
The Omega has had a service in 2023 and a complete case and bracelet refurb in 2024 that has IMO left the watch looking brilliant.
The bezel has a couple of marks commensurate with it's age but that keeps the age and character intact IMO.

Similarly the Sinn has a brand new bezel installed and is a rare beast at being just 1 of 200 released in US and Japan.

Mind if I ask what the 2,4,6,8 etc numbers up to 22 are for on the Seamaster?

It's to track the GMT hand.
Having the 24hr track keeps the bezel functional as a countdown and time elapsed bezel too.

@893bet kindly let me try on his watch. Thanks man, and was a pleasure finally meeting you!

Picked this up last night. Will need to sell it on if I am going to pull the trigger on an Overseas. Late model with superluminova and solid end links. Haven't advertised yet. Watch only, can sell several hundred under the cheapest comparable watch in Europe on Chrono24

I am doing my little bit to show that there are far better watches in the Rolex pice point 😀

for those that can’t afford it they can always meet in a hotel room to view, I’m sure that’s what the single chair is for in the room

The Overseas has dropped more than most since the boom. Now worth not much more than half what it was 3 years ago, it is roughly the same value as a Rolex sub date. Yeah, no comparison. Crazy stuff.

And with the proceeds bought something else overpriced that's now worth a lot less 😂 That's what happened when I sold my previous car and bought my current car nearly 4 years ago 😂

I am so sure on that graph (and always sceptical of c24 graphs). Not sure exactly when I bought it from Fitz, guessing 4 years ago, so around peak time or a little before it, he didn’t have it that long and bought from a dealer and passed it on for around the same to me as he paid which was market value at them time.

Maybe that graph is being skewed by in demand blue versions but the white version certainly was no where near that. Perhaps an eBay search on 47040 completed sales. Suspect the c24 graphs are based on asking rather than selling prices. And c24 not known for low asking prices.

It’s all academic anyway though as they say.

Right, deal done on a 47040. So my latest purchase, a very good condition Rolex polar explorer 16570 40mm (watch only) desirable late model with superluminova lume (as opposed to the earlier tritium watches that have zero lume left) coming up for sale this weekend

As usual, price will be several hundred EUR cheaper than cheapest comparable watch on Chrono24 in the EU, with a good deal available for anyone in here

PM me if interested or wait for my ad on adverts.ie

I gotta ask....the 16570 for sale was in trade for the 47040? Is the thinking that the latter would be easier to sell than the former hence why you acquired it and it's now for sale?

Sorry to be nosy, and I understand this doesn't always make sense, case in point just bought a watch and I wear a fit tracker most the time.

No, I bought the 16570 privately during the week. Just did a deal on that Polish 47040 on C24 that I mentioned above

Can't afford to keep them both, so the polar explorer is straight back up for sale again!

Congrats. You won’t regret this one.

Makes sense, I hope it sells for you with the minimum amount of hassle. It's a nice piece them.

I met with a consultant a couple months back who was wearing a polar explorer 2. He was to do a surgical procedure one me later so I was curious to spy how accurately it was set.

Was good to see the second hand match my 7a seiko. You want that in a guy cutting into you:)

Overseas paid for, hopefully get it later this week

3 Rolex sold this week, even for me a new record 😂

Took a 3581.50.00 as a swap for the vintage one. Beast of a watch, the daddy of all speedies. Lovely watch but I can barely read the thing without my reading glasses, despite it being a big watch. So will put that up for sale shortly. Will - as usual - be very competitively priced. PM me if interested

I'm in the midst of trying to get rid of an Omega GMT and along comes Unk with a speedie version I've never seen before!

    Get thee behind me Satan!

    GLWS buddy

Thanks man and likewise! Didn't even know there was a 44mm speedy. Cool big heavy watch but I can barely read the time, never mind any of the subdials without my reading glasses. And it took me about 3 hours of studying it carefully, until I found the date window

And honestly, I am far from blind. I can still read a newspaper without reading glasses in daylight

How can you even enjoy a watch after all that, sounds like absolute torture.

I am excited for you on the VC in a way. It’s so far ahead of the average steel Rolex in terms of quality, workmanship and prestige.
