I'd really like to be able to read minds looking at Speaker Johnson and the other gent, Johnson glancing at Chip Roy and the other keeping his eyes front and centre all the time, just to see where they were focused thoughts wise at the time.

Crying about religious extremism and they’re about the most religiously extreme nation on earth themselves. As I said, completely mental

I'm minded that with winter coming up, seasonal illnesses will pop up and there may not be the illness cover from last winter available this season due to Trump's big bill cutbacks on ACA. The families of those who die due to Trump's inspired cutbacks know there is only one person to be held accountable, one person only seated behind the desk where the buck stops. It's up to them to make him pay.

These morons literally use buzzwords like "marxist" that they have no understand of, but know it sounds scary to the uneducated. And most of middle America falls for it hook, line and sinker. They absolutely need to work on their education system over there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 12,720 ✭✭✭✭fullstop

Oh they are working on the education system. They’re actively working to destroy it to make sure the next generation don’t question the bullshit they’re being fed.

    They're not.

The people on screen, the people saying these things aren't mental, or dumb. They are indescribably manipulative. And have zero morals.

Trump can't even remember a verse from the Bible, any verse, so that he could pretend it means something to him and has smashed each and every one of the 10 commandments, repeatedly and still people like Roy and Johnson will talk about him as they do.

Because they're talking to the 77M that voted for him. And many of those people could be described as mental buy this manure.

But maybe the mental ones are the ones waiting for morality to just win out. As I've said before on here, Trump has won. Bigly. Trump and Johnson and Miller and Gorka and Musk and Thiel and Bannon and Holman and Leavitt and Noem and Bondi and Patel and Graham and the rest of them, they're all laughing their asses off and the best that can happen is that they serve out their term and then we watch Democrats waffle on about holding them accountable for x amount of time as happened before.

That doesnt suit Trumps world view. In his eyes, Russia has every right to exert its power in Europe, China in the far east and everything west of Galway is Trump's to do with as he pleases.

Hes already trying to destabilise Maduro in Venezuela, eventually they'll go after the oil there. In just 8 months hes touched on annexing Greenland, Panama and making Canada the 51st state.

Trump doesnt think any of these countries have a right to self determination any more than he believes Ukraine should be independent from Russia. We're all just pawns in the chess game of superpowers.

If that is true it would mean he’s been stringing Zelenskyy on all along. That’s even worse than what was on offer 18 months ago almost

He's started demolishing part of the East Wing of the White House to build a ballroom. Will cost $200 million, though he says no goverment money will be used. It will be 90,000 square feet..

Where is the money coming from?

"Last week, the president hosted a dinner for donors helping to fund the ballroom’s construction in the East Room. Attendees included representatives from Microsoft, Google, Palantir and other companies, as well as wealthy figures such as Blackstone CEO Steve Schwarzman, Cameron Winklevoss and Tyler Winklevoss."

In April the first mass protest against Trump totaled 3 million people. The second was 5 million. This weekend was 7 million. It’s growing. Mobilizing and motivating people is the point. The low turnout in US elections is a symptom of how disenfranchised people feel with the two party system. So the ability to mobilize people is encouraging. Can this be turned into votes is the question.

The two party system/monopoly has left people effectively disenfranchised. You don’t like the main parties ? Give an alternative a first preference and then vote to keep the worst out of office. In the US progressive voters are almost always (unsuccessfully) voting to keep the complete nut jobs out. The “No Kings” protests offer an alternative and a forum for local organization.

One thing to note is that is not just in the cities. There were 2,700 protests. Towns, suburbs, and at least some rural gatherings. No need to travel any distance to attend which is encouraging people to come out. My small town of 4,000 people in a currently Republican congressional district had a turn out of 2,800.

Finally, the response from Trump and MAGA folk suggests that it’s having an impact.

Edit: The following link was mentioned on MSNBC last night.

This will prove to be a defining image of his presidency. A visual representation of the destruction he has wrought. The fact he was able to dismantle a building of this stature with such ease further emphasises that any checks and balances that were in place are non-existent now.

This to me suggests Trump is just a stooge for Project 2025.

They have a "team" working on him being president for 2029. He'll be 82 years old starting a 4 year term.

Listening to Bannon, MAGA is a movement beyond Trump and it is the people in the background who really need to be flushed out and focused on.

They don't care about the White House being demolished. They'll let Trump have his little pet projects to keep him happy and following orders.

I mean how "open to interpretation" is Amendment 22. It's pretty fn black and white!

It’ll be weekend at Bernie’s by that stage, he is already deteriorating so fast, swollen ankles, bruised hands, droopy face.

Mind you, his base will still vote for him.

He should be arrested for defacing a historic building

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,311 ✭✭✭dogbert27

    It's already weekend at Bernie's!

He's drugged up as it is and has more make up on than his wife.

But if he is still breathing then as you say, the base will still vote for him as he is a figure head. For all their Christian beliefs they don't see that he is the Golden Calf that they are falsely worshipping.

That doesn't sound like the work of someone who is willing to leave in 3 years.

Much of that money will never get to contractors. Once he has accumulated the money the building could well grind to a halt. Yet, at 79 why would he still be engaging in grifts and scams, he cannot take it with him?

A dead Bernie would have made for a far better Pres.

The press need to push normalising calling it the Epstein wing. Nothing would annoy him more than the deflection being named after what he is trying to deflect from

I'm waiting for him to start calling it the Trump House and MAGA normalising it

Guys like that can't help themselves. They'll never have enough. At that stage its not about achieving something or pushing forward something you built. Its about accumulating wealth so you can feel bigger than the other billionaires you hang out with. You can be sure that Musk having more money than Trump really got under his skin. And for Musk, he no longer has interest in pushing his companies forward other than making sure they secure his place as the worlds wealthiest man.

The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.

I know we complain about the obstructive Irish planning system, but Washington could do with some of our planners.

Maybe still alive, but barely - in a state of near-death and living stasis on the Golden Throne (which functions as his life support system).

    😆

If Trump ever learns about Warhammer 40k, he'll be looking for one of those to be built for him…

On that note I would actually prefer The Emperor of Mankind to Donnie.

(…that and I'd like my own Power Armour too :P)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,355 ✭✭✭ZeroThreat

Yup, the only way Donnie will ever be stuck in stasis on a golden throne is if he somehow has a stroke while overly straining to push the remnants of half a dozen big macs out on the solid gold toilet bowl in Trump tower 😁

He'll be turned into a servitor, the Imperium doesn't tolerate weakness and cowardice like he constantly shows :p
