Why EuroDreams is not suitable for syndicates?

"The nature of the Annuity Prize means that only one winner is recognised and only one Annuity Policy created in that winner’s name. PLI will recognise one winner and the Prize paid to that winner is tax free. Consequently, the EuroDreams Game is not suitable for syndicate Play."

    https://www.lottery.ie/useful-info/eurodreams-faqs

"The first draw will take place on Monday, November 6th, 2023."

With syndicates ruled out of playing, seems like allot less of players for it?

The Dream Number is only applicable for Tier 1 Prizes.

Anyone else going to enter these draws?

I might alternate from playing euro millions and this weekly. certainly not playing all three. The only time I play 'Daily Millions' is when I win a ticket.

Went looking for a thread for this, but seems nobody has created a thread for it?

    10 13 14 25 30 35 ~ DREAM NUMBER 5

As we finalize the results from the first Euro Dreams draw, the National Lottery website is temporarily unavailable.

Numbers for the first draw above, won't be sharing again. Just for this draw.

Edit: - One Irish winner of the match 6 (Tier 2).

After 59 Draws and no Irish Winner of Tier 1, tonight's draw is a must be won draw.

    https://www.lottery.ie/how-to-play/eurodreams/eurodreams-promo

Good luck to all who have entered, there maybe still time for online players?

    Edit: -

There was no winner of the EuroDreams top prize. In total, over 45,000 players in Ireland won prizes. One player in Co. Cork won the EuroDreams Special Draw prize of €2,000 per month for 5 years. The winning ticket was purchased in O’Reilly Garage, Clonakilty Road, Bandon, Co. Cork.

Stop keeping track off it but is last nights win! The first time an Irish player has got 'Tier 1' prize and is it a shared prize with a player in france? Or do both get the full value of it.

Not my numbers, so not me!

It's not suitable because the payment is done by purchasing an annuity from an insurance provider (to ensure it keeps being paid even if Premier Lotteries goes away - see the issue in the US right now with Publishers Clearing House winners not being paid); and annuities are sold for single named persons only.

There is another reason that annuities make sense for this type of prize; but it doesn't apply here. In some cases these prizes die with you, so if an elderly winner wins; the annuity costs a lot less money as its unlikely they'll ever get the money. Eurodreams pays out the remaining term to your estate, though.

I find it an "extraordinary coincidence" that another Wicklow won the won the 2nd tier prize of €2,000 a month for 5 years, with a quick pick played online on the day of the draw.

I've said it in another thread, but I don't believe quick picks are completely random. I think the computer looks at numbers played and often copies many of them for subsequent lines. I've lost count of the amount of times where I will pick numbers for a line, and then a quick pick line will often copy 3 or 4 of those said numbers. Or quick pick lines that almost match one another.

    Screenshot_2025-09-17-12-30-29-763-edit_com.miui.gallery.jpg Screenshot_2025-09-17-12-40-14-461-edit_com.miui.gallery.jpg

One pick line played out of 5 and it copied the last 3 numbers in the exact same sequence. It happens so often, it can't be down to luck. I also find that quick picks pump out garbage numbers. I've often gone 25+ tickets online without a winner, all quick picks. Only for the barren run to end with a measly €3.

Again, so often when you do hear of a winner, it's numbers they chose. I believe the €250 million EuroMillions Cork winner, the €17 million Lotto online Mayo winner and the Wicklow EuroDreams jackpot winner, the most recent big jackpot winners all chose the winning numbers.

Well I suppose the question is what do you consider random.

Computers "can't" pick truly random numbers. You need to give it a seed or a Base to work from.

Without knowing exactly how these systems work it's hard to guess but it will follow some set of rules that could in theory anyway produce similar results under certain conditions.

This is why I couldn't advance play yesterday.

Read the 'fine print' it is only till it is won, and then reverts back to normal prize.

10 draws in, and still not won. Gonna give it a lash tomorrow night.

None of my numbers will be higher than #24, so you'll know if they are low, it's me!!

    25 draws and almost ...

    17670345595426560545731398672457.jpg

The EuroDreams special boosted draw that started on 2nd October still hasn't been won.

    1767034599869613919526738119069.jpg

Maybe tonight? I wouldn't count on it.

    Make that 26 and 0.

I'd bought 2 quick picks for tonight and won nothing as usual. Logged in a minute before 8 and it told me that they were "not a winning ticket". Even though the results didn't go up for a couple of minutes. The story of my luck purchasing online. Never a winner.

    Screenshot_2025-12-29-20-00-19-201-edit_com.android.chrome.jpg

All quick picks, bar the one EuroDreams ticket on Christmas Day, where I picked my own numbers and won €2.50.

Which brings me onto quick picks, I've said it before and I'll say it again, I don't believe they're completely random. Saturday's Lotto ticket online.

    Screenshot_2025-12-28-21-15-31-854-edit_com.android.chrome.jpg

Again, for Saturday's draw, ticket bought in the shops.

Constantly repeating numbers on separate lines. I hate their ads on TV with the made up stories of winners. I notice the tickets in those ads don't have repeated numbers.

Computer random number generators are inherently not random.

This is why the draws are done using balls in a drum, and always will be.

    Apophenia

Apophenia is the tendency to perceive meaningful patterns or connections in random or meaningless data. It's essentially seeing patterns where none exist or attributing significance to coincidental events.

Gambling: A common example is the gambler's fallacy, where individuals believe they see patterns in lottery numbers, roulette outcomes, or card games. They might assume that after a series of "red" outcomes in roulette, "black" is more likely to appear next, even though each event is statistically independent with the same probability

4 months and 35 draws later, there's still no winner. ####### unbelievable! We'll see what happens in tonight's draw.

No winner again last night. I'm shocked! Shocked! Well, not that shocked.

Seriously, WTF is up with this $¢am? 42 draws later and this "special draw" still hasn't been won. It's such a weird jackpot prize to begin with.

Hey! Guess what? The EuroDreams jackpot wasn't won again last night. Who would have guessed it? Everyone!

45 draws now and still no winner.

Tonight will be the 47th draw of this sham. We're 5 and a months into this "boosted" run.

I meant to post a few days ago, but I just have a feeling it'll be won either tonight or on Thursday.

Still not won. Someone came close with match 6.

So much for my feeling. Another week goes by, 48 draws and counting, and the scam goes on.

Hey! Guess what? No winner, as usual.

I don't play Euro dreams, but when is the next draw? Will buy a one line quick pick, see if we can break that unwon streak!

Thursday. You have until 7:30PM to buy a ticket. That's 49 draws now and almost 6 months without a winner. Maybe 50 will be the magic number.
