Why EuroDreams is not suitable for syndicates?

"The nature of the Annuity Prize means that only one winner is recognised and only one Annuity Policy created in that winner’s name. PLI will recognise one winner and the Prize paid to that winner is tax free. Consequently, the EuroDreams Game is not suitable for syndicate Play."

    https://www.lottery.ie/useful-info/eurodreams-faqs

"The first draw will take place on Monday, November 6th, 2023."

With syndicates ruled out of playing, seems like allot less of players for it?

The Dream Number is only applicable for Tier 1 Prizes.

Anyone else going to enter these draws?

I might alternate from playing euro millions and this weekly. certainly not playing all three. The only time I play 'Daily Millions' is when I win a ticket.

Went looking for a thread for this, but seems nobody has created a thread for it?

Numbers for the first draw above, won't be sharing again. Just for this draw.

Edit: - One Irish winner of the match 6 (Tier 2).

After 59 Draws and no Irish Winner of Tier 1, tonight's draw is a must be won draw.

Good luck to all who have entered, there maybe still time for online players?

    Edit: -

There was no winner of the EuroDreams top prize. In total, over 45,000 players in Ireland won prizes. One player in Co. Cork won the EuroDreams Special Draw prize of €2,000 per month for 5 years. The winning ticket was purchased in O’Reilly Garage, Clonakilty Road, Bandon, Co. Cork.

Stop keeping track off it but is last nights win! The first time an Irish player has got 'Tier 1' prize and is it a shared prize with a player in france? Or do both get the full value of it.

Not my numbers, so not me!

It's not suitable because the payment is done by purchasing an annuity from an insurance provider (to ensure it keeps being paid even if Premier Lotteries goes away - see the issue in the US right now with Publishers Clearing House winners not being paid); and annuities are sold for single named persons only.

There is another reason that annuities make sense for this type of prize; but it doesn't apply here. In some cases these prizes die with you, so if an elderly winner wins; the annuity costs a lot less money as its unlikely they'll ever get the money. Eurodreams pays out the remaining term to your estate, though.

I find it an "extraordinary coincidence" that another Wicklow won the won the 2nd tier prize of €2,000 a month for 5 years, with a quick pick played online on the day of the draw.

I've said it in another thread, but I don't believe quick picks are completely random. I think the computer looks at numbers played and often copies many of them for subsequent lines. I've lost count of the amount of times where I will pick numbers for a line, and then a quick pick line will often copy 3 or 4 of those said numbers. Or quick pick lines that almost match one another.

One pick line played out of 5 and it copied the last 3 numbers in the exact same sequence. It happens so often, it can't be down to luck. I also find that quick picks pump out garbage numbers. I've often gone 25+ tickets online without a winner, all quick picks. Only for the barren run to end with a measly €3.

Again, so often when you do hear of a winner, it's numbers they chose. I believe the €250 million EuroMillions Cork winner, the €17 million Lotto online Mayo winner and the Wicklow EuroDreams jackpot winner, the most recent big jackpot winners all chose the winning numbers.

Well I suppose the question is what do you consider random.

Computers "can't" pick truly random numbers. You need to give it a seed or a Base to work from.

Without knowing exactly how these systems work it's hard to guess but it will follow some set of rules that could in theory anyway produce similar results under certain conditions.

Read the 'fine print' it is only till it is won, and then reverts back to normal prize.
