Was at a funeral mass today, and there is always one thick idiot who hasnt got the sense to leave their phone in the car, or god forbid put it on silent.

To have it blasting out in the middle of the service, full volume is embarrassing and incredibly disrespectful. And why does it always seem to take them about 10sec to stop it? They are that thick they are probably looking around to see whose phone is ringing, before realising its theirs.

Three people having a conversation near the entrance to a supermarket, when asked to move aside to get a trolley through you would think the last thing they expected to see was a trolley in a supermarket.

A traffic accident close to current HQ, a child seems to have run out into a turn lane and was tipped by a car(likely will be recovered long before the driver recovers from the fright)

Over heard this convo in various forms for the past few hours, why didn't they cross at the crossing? Indeed but the closest crossing to the location is…………………………….across the road!

Meant to get a delivery today… “Thursday 18th September by 8pm” says the email. Anytime I checked including at 7.40 pm..“being prepared for delivery“. At 8.10pm I refresh and it updates “ not yet shipped, sorry for the inconvenience “,the inconvenience isn’t the delay, but the lack of accurate timely info.

It’s only 3 bottles of a favourite hard to acquire food condiment so nothing remotely urgent but jeeeeeez.. Maybe tell me a few hours earlier ? And I can do something else aside from sitting, waiting ?!

Lucky escape freshpopcorn. You'd be going for some election in Cork and that grainy image from the mid 2000s would surface😊

TA I wish could be back in these simpler times

Edit: and I didn't even quote the times I was referring to.…

When I was a teenager we had very basic camera phones.

We were all text and trying to chat one another up.

This girl asked me to send a picture to her of me in my Birthday suit.

I was like "l didn’t get any clothes for my Birthday".

    The shame.

Also boards.ie showing me threads from 14 / 15 years ago. I can't remember what was in the safe that was found ( for oldies ) and I came across a old thread about dry riding in discos ( excuse the pun ) . It's bringing me down memory lane

I accept that I listen to classic fm which basically already qualifies me as an 'oldie' but jesus christ the ads on the station are constantly depressing. Pension plans, funeral plans, elder care, hearing aids, insurance, trips to the Antarctic on hurtigruten (which you'd have to be retired to be able to afford), dementia awareness. It is morbid.

It is the same on ITV4, which mostly shows stuff from 70s and 80s but even when they are showing eg cycling coverage which you would think would be a different/broader demographic.

I wanted to ask somebody a question Yesterday but she was talking to a colleague.

I thought she had finished her conversation but now I'm thinking I rudely interrupted it.

When the radio is playing in a cafe, I sat down for a coffee to unwind and I have to listen to some hyper DJ trying to force banter with a caller whos after telling them an incredibly banal and long winded story. What's wrong with a custom playlist? Some nice chilled out tracks that fill the air, give a bit of atmosphere without having to listen to someone fail at a quiz or hear about some celebrity whos now single, or who bought themselves a new face.

Fairly convinced DJ's are a waste of money and as you say off-putting,just play the tunes.

Most people probably have a playlist or internet radio these days anyway which have no DJ's,news bulletins and little or no ads.

Discovered this last night to watch Gogglebox. Why do you hey make it so hard?

watching the women’s rugby Canada vs New Zealand. Ref is in way over her head and NZ are getting screwed. Multiple high tackles, knock ons and forward passes missed. Doesn’t mind either the same couple of Canadian players showing descent and arguing every other decision, encouraging this behaviour getting into drawn out conversation explaining herself, delaying the game whilst NZ need and want to get on with it…but they’re waiting for chats to be over, momentum killer 🤦🏻‍♂️. Abysmal ref. Annoying watching it.
