Just messaged them and they offered 24 blades and told me to use a travel adaptor. I asked what happens if, after being exposed to rain and outdoors, the adaptor shorts, the charger catches fire, burns down my house and kills my family.

The person on chat said they'll escalate it. But I checked the UK site, which sells it with UK plugs, and they're out of stock.

Yup that's the annoying back and forth I got. Keep pushing, keep escalating and eventually they will agree. Also push and ask for free garage for the inconvenience caused :)

    That's the plan, cheers.

Is this the case for most Mammotion users? That they received European plugs. Anyone else in the same boat?

Not sure what's allowed on here but I'm selling my Worx Landroid L2000, having upgraded to a Luba.

The landroid is a year and half old, and I have 2 base stations, upgraded wheels, additional off limits feature and plenty of pegs, wire, connectors etc.

I'm based in East Cork if anyone wants to PM me. I'll be putting it on done deal in the next day or so but wanted to give post here first.

Hi All, for any of you who would service or repair your machines yourselves - where are you buying your Husqvarna spare parts online?

Atkins.ie are about the best I can see.

I need a few bits so it might get a bit expensive - Therefore I might consider using a European Company and waiting a few more days if its cheaper.

I just use Atkins as prices for parts don't vary that much and their service is quick.

I also have used a website call gpl-shop.

For anyone that wants to service their wheel motors there's a Swedish company that sells replacement gear sets for Husqvarna and Gardena mowers, which is cheaper than buying a whole new motor .

Id say this question has been asked a load of times.. but just wondering in light of the above mentioned sites and Atkins lookin for €7.30 for delivery of 9 blades.. where do people buy blades for their Husqvarna automowers? (430X)
    Thanks..

I buy these Flymo blades, which are actually branded Husqvarna... (They are all the same company). I've stopped using the endurance blades as they just clog up and lose the ability to turn and use the other cutting edge.

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/Flymo-5952866-01-Robotic-Blade/dp/B07LCGKQG1

They were 18 GBP on Amazon for me.

Jeez.. they are showing up as €34 for me… and they don't look the same as the ones I use normally.. which are fully rectangular with the hole in the centre.. might not be compatible with the 430X ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,192 ✭✭✭Mango Joe

I bought a large box of generic blades on Amazon 3 or 4 years ago cheap as chips that also came with a huge bag of the bolts.

Its really nice to be able to replace both on a whim and the quality and experience has been great.

    https://lawnmowerpartsonline.ie/categories/automower

Delivery free over e10 spent , would need to check if competitive on price. I also use Amazon for blades ( Stihl imow)

how old is your IMOW , mine was faultless for 5 seasons and coming to the end of the 5th season it starting dying not long after charging, a new battery was provided and its been fine since ( 2 seasons on ) . that was the princely sum of 400 yoyos.

I would say there are providers in Germany if you can find them

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 317 ✭✭Blues14

I bought it off a guy that brought a few in from Germany but it was brand new this is it’s 2nd season was going perfect but the last day I noticed it wasn’t charging.if you press the ok button on the actual robot the charging icon will come and go and then if you let the screen go blank it will say charging failure

For anyone who is at 4 years plus running time I would advise on buying your spare battery pack now and swapping it out.

I had wrongly assumed that performance would slowly degrade - But mine died suddenly leaving me stranded, currently waiting for 2 X replacement batteries to ship from Germany for €77 rather than paying €155 for just one Husqvarna official one.

I'm chancing a 3mAh battery which will either work perfectly with 50% longer cutting time….. Or will end in tears. Ordered a standard 2mAh battery too in case…. I will let you all know how it goes.

Grass is growing like a meadow in the meantime, will have to lower myself to borrowing a mower from a Neighbour and doing a Peasant cut - Shudder 😕😁

They are compatible as they are Husqvarna blades.

The rectangle ones are Endurance blades. Hard carbon steel edge.

These Flymo are the exact same as the Husqvarna standard blades that can be purchased. They are even branded with the Husqvarna symbol but being Flymo I paid less. They are fractionally less hard than the endurance blades but I find them better, as the endurance for me get stuck and don't spin to use the other edge.

However, as you say, they have jumped in price, so the benefit of them being cheaper and replaced slightly more often has lessened...

So as others have said, buy a generic set from Amazon and even if you are changing them more often, you are still getting better value than the branded Husqvarna ones.

Thanks for all that. Appreciate it.

I was ordering some crap from Temu and spotted blades purportedly for the 430X for six bucks.. ordered them, not losing a lot if they aren't good..

My husqvarna 430x is shortly going to the dump to be replaced by a ride on…its on its 7th season, no bother until last year could not praise it enough. then the transformer and ECP went and had to be changed, cost about 600 but still thats ok still happy enough with it. This year is a different story it has been a disaster. A few problems again such as having to change the battery again i don't mind that it was due to be replaced, a few other small parts went. I suppose between this year and last year i have spent 1100 euros on it. My big problem is i keep getting no loop signals when there is no break. I have given days on end ripping up the cable and installing new cable even though there is no break, and it might work for about 3 days until same thing again. For example i gave all day last Friday pulling up and installing cable, got the green light and worked away until Monday morning and gone again. Gave all Monday evening and a while Tuesday morning again replacing another section of cable (that there was no break in) to get a green light, and now this morning no loop signal again !!! The hassle of having to spend the weekend again at the same thing.

I do all the checks using a radio, connect one of the guide wires to the terminal and get a green light suggested the problem is in one section, try this later i might not get a green. Use a piece of cable and touched the terminals and get a green suggesting there is nothing wrong with the unit itself, its absolutely infuriating.

I was the same as you, albeit my wire breaks were my own doing (changed the layout of the garden multiple times, so had dozens on connections).

I upgraded to a Luba but would still recommend a wired mower to anyone with a fairly simple, small lawn they don't plan to change over time.

Any reason you're going for a ride on rather than a wireless robot?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 675 ✭✭✭k mac

Just experience has made me lose faith in the robot. At least with a ride on if something goes wrong easy to bring it down to a local guy who can diagnose the problem and fix it quickly

My father has a 430x and had issues with a loop break. It turned out to be a dodgy connection for the loop wire at the back of the base. May be worth checking out.

The Luba 2 AWD 3000X is currently on sale for €2,299 is this a legit good sale price ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,032 ✭✭✭Simi

It's the cheapest I've seen it. Gonna pull the trigger. Don't forget to give your email for the extra €50 off. (You may need to open the page in incognito to trigger the pop up.)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 923 ✭✭✭pajoguy

Thats a great price. I paid €3200 for the 5000AWD last year as the 3000AWD was not available.

The 3000AWD last year was €2999

Remember this is essentially an end of season sale. So if you're the kind that wants the latest model, don't be disappointed when they arrive out with a new model in a few months.

Also be sure you are happy with the features that it has on the day you buy as the company tend not to add additional features to anything other than the current latest model (although I understand they have promised to roll out some new features to last year's customers at some point).
