Yes, how dare the Indian governmant say a country where Indians are being attacked on a regular basis for the simple reason that they are Indian is not safe for Indians.

Nice attempt at a deflection of racism though, although you'll probably deny these attacks have nothing to do with racism.

Yes Danielle McLaughlin from Donegal rape and murder comes to mind but these attacks here are wrong and those responsible need punishment , severe punishment, no matter their age, a 6 year old girl getting targeted is awful

Well if the Indians making those scam calls got a beating, I wouldn’t shed any tears.

What happened the Indians is not acceptable.

Innocent People young or old being attacked is not right.

Its wrong and deserves severe punishment to people who carry out such attacks.

    End of....

    EVENFLOW

I think it's more the reason that India is far less safe for foreigners than Ireland would be and the fact that we've now had a week or more of clearly orchestrated coverage in the media following instructions from pressure groups/indian government agencies as if there are lynchings of indians going on on a daily basis in Ireland.

Someone being attacked is clearly wrong however the Indian government getting on their high horse about anything regarding safety of people or racism is a bit rich considering how India isn't exactly the safest country in the world and is incredibly racist also.

They're not getting on their high horse.

Ireland is simply not safe for Indians at this moment in time because they are being specifically targetted for the simple reason that they are Indians.

Ireland has stuck a 'high degree of caution' label on India, for example. Is warning our citizens 'getting on our high horse' too?

Unbelieveable mental gymnastics to distract from the clear and obvious racism we are seeing on this island, to have a go at Indian officials for warning their citizens that Indians are being attacked for being Indian.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,329 ✭✭✭Jack Daw

Fine, couple of attacks on people who are Indian.

Obviously wrong but not exactly a sign of some pogrom being enacted against them.

If Ireland is so unsafe and the Indian government care so much then I assume the indian government will prevent indian citizens from emigrating to Ireland from now and will offer incentives for all indians living in Ireland to return home where they will be safer.

The attacks are wrong, the reaction from Indian government is disingenous nonsense and they know it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,445 ✭✭✭For Petes Sake

We're reading about attacks on Indian people every day because they are Indian.

You seem to really want to act like this isn't happening. Would be incredible what you would do if you used that energy to actually condemn what's happening instead of having a pop at Indian officials for daring to warn their citizens that, at this moment, Indian people are being attacked in Ireland for the simple reason that they are Indian.

It's pure and utter racism, but yet I've only seen you call Indians racist.

I see what you're doing, and it's blatantly obvious.

Keep making excuses for the racist scum that have inhabited our island.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,329 ✭✭✭Jack Daw

It's happened a couple of times. We haven't had daily attacks agaisnt Indian people for the past 5 years if we did that would be a big problem but this isn't the case.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,445 ✭✭✭For Petes Sake

So all the Indian natives who have been talking to newspapers in the last couple of weeks are just making it up then, are they?

I notice that you still only refer to the Indian government as racists.

Where have I referred to the Indian Government as racists?

I've said they are doing a load of pearl clutching , probably to help with getting better terms from the Irish government for their citizens.

Have the Indian or Irish governments or indeed the media shown the same concern for Irish people who have been victims of crimes by Indian nationals, both here or in India? No, of course not, because that doesn't suit the narrative.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 794 ✭✭✭Phat Cat

RTÉ have run this story this morning, to keep the momentum of their narrative going into this week, after last week's multiply headlines and a Primetime special dedicated to the subject.

I find it ironic that the media didn't show the same level of purpose when Indian nationals were arrested for sexual assault and attempted child abduction in Ireland

Well at least now something is hopefully being done to address the feral youth problem. It had to come this far, that a country like India to label Ireland as unsafe, but I guess in the end all that matters is that something is being done. At least those smug politicians won't have the cheek to claim Dublin is safe anymore.

As for the racism and immigration angle, the rise of racial tensions was bound to happen, it happened everywhere else where a large and sudden influx of migrants significantly and permanently changed the demographics almost overnight. That's why the only type of fully successful migration policy is that who seeks the assimilation of the migrants, who needs to be managed in both numbers and kind. To put is shortly, it's very easy to target indians when they are so many - and please don't take this as some sort of victim blaming.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,112 ✭✭✭Cordell

And if this is all being blamed on the far right, why are they supposedly targeting Indians specifically?

It's not the "far right", it's feral youths doing the assaults - when in the past common sense people asked for something to be done about them, something even like sending them to prison for violent offences, those people were also being labeled as far right. And now the "left" hug a thug and give them some more community centres crowd just discovered that they can't have their cake and eat it.

But surely its the same point, why are so called " Feral youths" attacking Indians only?

Ill just add the two x posts from Michael Brazil that he claims show inconsistencies in one of the recent recent stories.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,405 ✭✭✭lmao10

    These posts are beyond comical.

We all know whats happening. I can't even bring myself to take a post like this seriously.

Yes it's the far right rhetoric behind it and everyone knows it.

These posts are wild even for this forum.

Feral youths are attacking anyone that they think they can get away with it. Its not an exclusive Indian thing. Plus, 30,000 Indians got work visa last year alone so theres just more of them out and about. Im sure Brazilians get much more grief doing food delivery work. Or security staff in shops, of all nationalities. I was out in town at the weekend. If i got a beating from some some tracksuit thug, would RTE or the Tanaiste care?

The issue here is that Indians are a large and growing part of the tech workforce, thats why they are important.

Let's compare and contrast the media coverage this young fella gets after getting an unmerciful hiding at a football match. I'm sure our media will be all over it. 🤔

The first major case a couple of weeks ago happened after the little rats accused the man of being a paedophile.

It’s literally straight out of the far right playbook. Shame on anyone who downplays it.

There are millions of Indians worldwide and other countries would have many more indian victims of crime . why is the indian government , the international press and Indian social media influencers all on their high horse over a handful of attacks ??

These attacks are terrible but they are being amplified beyond belief. Many Irish and other peoples suffer similar assaults regularly without the fanfare.

There must be bigger fish to fry globally in the realm of Indian diaspora safety .

    so why ?

Let us consider two undeniable facts:

India is a very strong ally of Israel.

Israel spends a lot of time/money trying to defend itself and manipulate opinion online and in the press.

I'm convinced this is orchestrated due to the Irish stance on Palestine and the steps taken by the Irish Government with the support of the Irish people.

So even when indians are assaulted in Ireland it's still the jew's fault. This is getting tiresome.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,586 ✭✭✭enricoh

A completely orcastrated media campaign , it's beyond doubt.

On local station lmfm this morning also, attacks on indians. Most petrol stations, centras etc I go to nowadays Indians are in the majority of staff. If yer serving the public, you are gonna get abused, it's a sad fact of life.

Saw an interview with an Israeli government policy strategist recently where he said in Europe, Ireland and Sweden were consistent thorns in their side for years. He said his present to Sweden was Malmo where swedes can no longer live. He didn't say what his present to Ireland was....

Reform have been leading in every poll since May. Ireland doesn't have an equivalent party to threaten FF/FG's voter base.

Not a peep on MSM yet. I don't think there will be either, it doesn't fit the narrative they want to push.

I suggest if someone is posting far right misinformation call it out with links not opinions .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,112 ✭✭✭Cordell

Against my better judgement I hit play: he implies that somehow the mass migration into Sweden was somehow orchestrated by Israel because the "swedes have this idea that only them knows what's right and wrong".

You can believe this petty revenge antisemitic crap or you can believe that mass migration is simply something that happened after years or relaxing european borders, which was only intended to be by europeans for europeans. If any hostile state is behind non european mass migration then that's Russia.

Anything to day about the video in the post just above yours where the black gang was knocking the tar out of a young white boy?

Where is your outrage over that incident?

    jaysis wept.

I didn't say that - please read what I actually wrote and even if I did - it would the Zionists fault not jews.

but that's pretty woeful comprehension or misinterpretation on your part.
