If they keep up the pressure and keep talking about Epstein, ignoring Donald Ducks attempts to deflect, he will eventually crack and spew something out, he's stupid enough....

Apparently the DOJ is meeting with Ghilsaine Maxwell today.

Pretty sure the story will be after this meeting that Bill Clinton is the most heinous man to ever walk the planet, Trump is on the Epstein files but only because he desperately tried to stop Clinton by visiting the island and trying to save the girls he was with, oh and Maxwell is deserving of being considered for a pardon don't you know.

This is 1000% (going with the 1000 because MAGA likes it) the corruption of the DOJ to act in the direct interests of the President that they spent 4 years accusing Biden and Merrick Garland of being at while Garland dragged the absolute arse out of cases investigating Trump enough that they were never completed.

    Drip drip drip

Have you ever socialized with Donald Trump in the presence of females under the age of eighteen?"

Jeffrey Epstein: "Though I'd like to answer that question, I'm going to assert my 5th, 6th, and 14th Amendment rights."

Bradley Edwards, attorney for Epstein survivors, says on MSNBC that the executors of Epstein's estate are in possession of the birthday book containing Trump's letter and would be willing to turn it over to authorities

South Park, after years of having Mr.Garrison as a Trump-like figure, have now gone full-in on just mocking Trump directly.

Second clip features horrible, horrible nudity (tweet won't embed for some reason)

Epstein's brother catches Trump out in another lie… and of course, we get will get the typical see no evil hear no evil response from the 'centrists' on the thread pretending not to be Trump defenders.

Mark Epstein, the older brother of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, refuted the White House’s claims that President Trump never visited the disgraced financier at his office. "That’s just another blatant lie,” the older Epstein said during a Tuesday appearance on CNN’s “Erin Burnett OutFront.”
“Because he was there. People that worked for Jeffrey in his office, they could testify that they saw Trump in Jeffrey’s office on numerous occasions,” he continued, “So for him to say he wasn’t there, all I can say is that’s just just another lie.”
Later on the show, Epstein accuser Maria Farmer appeared and gave her account of the future president’s visit to the wealthy businessowner’s office decades prior to his death.

Suing Murdoch was the dumbest move ever. Murdoch has so much power in the media. He probably has way more more dirt on Trump than Epstein.

This story isn't going away for Trump. If it comes out he's a pedo it'll be some bombshell.

Appalling news of the Columbia University "settlement" with the Trump regime. Columbia University should nt have settled on these terms: they signify the end of real independence and academic freedom.

I'd love to see the WSJ publish the actual card and then Trump would have the cheek to sue them for copyright infringement etc... at the very same time he's sueing them saying the birthday card doesn't exist.

His base would be shifting from 'the letter is a fake' to 'so what if the letter is real' 1000% guaranteed.

Even if this whole Epstein saga blew up and Trump was named by some victims as being a participant etc... his base would be 'that's ok, we just wanted the truth, we still support him and the victims are all lying, but lock up the rest of those named'

Considering it’s 2010 when these questions were asked, you do wonder how Trump actually reached the white house in 2016 without more focus on this aspect of his life- his responses at the time of him not knowing Epstein well, seemed to have been taken at face value - it’s also extraordinary how the democrats didn’t pursue this area of his life with more vigour

The falling-out between them seems to have alternatively been that Epstein allegedly hit on the young daughter of another Mar-A-Lago club member circa 2002 - 2004. Epstein was a Mar-A-Lago club member then OR a Miami seafront property auction bidding war they were in (which Trump won). The year-date of the end of their "friendship" does seem to change according to whichever version of Trump's recall one reads. Either way, Trump claims to have thrown Epstein out of the club.

Back in 2016 Epstein wasn't the pariah he later became — he had served his sentence and was a free man keeping a low profile, and the media had not reignited their interest in him and his doings. The Miami Herald did not revisit the case until 2018, and Virginia Giuffre's lawsuit against Prince Andrew was not launched until 2021.

Plus in those days the Democrats still hoped that by adhering to minimal standards of decency ("Where they go low, we go high") they would differentiate themselves from the Republicans, to their advantage. Even if they suspected that Trump was a sexual abuser of minors they were going to find it very difficult to prove that, and casting about unprovable allegations of that kind in an attempt to secure electoral advantage was the kind of thing that only Trump did, and Democrats and most Republicans deplored.

Epstein was buying a property and showed it to Trump, Trump was broke at the time yet he went behind Epsteins back and bought it, apparently by laundering russian money. That’s why they fell out.

I would be very sceptical of the whole “kicked him out of his club story” it sounds too convenient, too contrived.

Sorry if this has already been mentioned but in a US court is the onus on the libelled or libeller?

If a statement is made, does someone have to prove the statement or does the other person have to prove it's wrong.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 42,784 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

It's on the libelled, they have to make their case.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,349 ✭✭✭✭aloyisious

I hadn't thought about the funding source issue. It was a a bankruptcy sale. Afterwards Trump sold it on and it ended up coincidentally being bought by a Russian oligarch who levelled the building and built three separate houses on the site.

The 9th circuit court (appeals) ruled in a 2-1 decision that Trump's E.O. interpretation of the 14th amendment birth-right was unconstitutional after Trump had appealed the ruling of a lower court of a class action suit to it.

Both it and the lower court decision by U.S. District Judge John C. Coughenour in Seattle came after SCOTUS ruled that another, previous, lower court ruling was incorrect in law, that that court had exceeded its jurisdictional authority so it seems both more recent decision took note of the SCOTUS ruling on class actions and court jurisdiction.

It's on the libeled and it goes a little further than that - Not only to do they have to show that the information was a lie , they also have to prove that the libeler KNEW it was false and maliciously published anyway.

So the bar is very high to win a libel case in the US even with a decent enough case , and Trump does not have a good case.

I feel like last night's South Park will piss Trump off massively. Entire episode goes after him but there's a deep fake of a naked Trump walking through the desert. 😂 And the video is going viral. The deep fake is perfectly fine due to the lack of checks and balances on AI, thanks to Trump.
