I have to say I really enjoyed episode 7.

The party for Charlotte was fun and the chat between Miranda and Carrie at the end was hard hitting and I was like you go Miranda, wake up Carrie!

Carrie and her Aidan and me have 20 year history, yeah and did you just forget about the years with Big during all that FFS.

I was rewastching very first series of Sex and City and brought home again how ridiculous Miranda character going gay is.

In early days a Partner in he law firm thought she was gay and she played along and pretended and we even see her kissing the person to 'test' it out and then she goes Nope 100% straight so.

Just doesn't make sense. Also was she really an alcoholic? Like I don't remember those episodes so maybe they did show her drinking to excess but in my mind she only drank same as rest.

Im going to rewatch more of old season just to see wtf have they done to her character.

Didn't the alcoholism start in "and just like that" I think it was triggered by her lack of fulfillment in her marriage, motherhood as Brady was older and pretty much ignoring her, and career so she was self medicating to a certain degree.

Agree she was never a problem drinker in satc but that's how alcoholism can work . It's social drinking until it's not.

As a character she has always been someone who is not content with what she has. The gay storyline didn't/doesn't bother me and I like the character Joy.

Out of the 4 she was always one I could take or leave tbh as she was always fairly abrasive, not necessarily in a nice way, though this season she's a lot more likeable.

While I'm still watching it, I am finding it difficult to like any of the characters. They are all very self centered. They were in satc too but you'd expect them to mature past that point.

Still hating the additional new cast members ....they bring nothing to the table.

A very accurate description of Miranda never happy with what she has. I seem to remember she was phoning Carrie from her honeymoon, complaining that Steve was being too affectionate.

    A very good episode.

Who did Aidan think he was having a hissy fit because she was working with Duncan late, that was her work.

Its alright for her to put her life on hold for him while he sorts out family issues but 5 mins in New York and he is giving out because she wouldnt have dinner with him!

He wasn't too keen having dinner with her when she was banished to the cottage when she visited him!

Rant over🤣 I wont spoil the ending.

    Yeah I enjoyed it too.

Miranda and Joy look like they might be forming a normal functioning adult relationship.

Yeah Aidan really coming across very badly this season. He wasn't that selfish in the original satc.

I can honestly do without the seems sex scenes.....she really brings nothing to the table other than trying to be Samantha, which is never gonna happen.

Charlotte and Harry are just funny charicatures of themselves at this stage, but harmless.

I did enjoy the episode though.

Yes it was probably the best episode. Aidan was always somewhat controlling in a subtle way. He guilted her into giving up cigarettes in SATC, the same with wanting to marry her all those years ago. I liked the nod to her love of shoes when she went for walk too..and now her wealth and how she can afford them is explainable.. I really don't like the Seema character at all. Spoiled and selfish without any of Samantha's humour.

I liked the last few episodes more than the rest . We saw a little more reality and less soundbites of their lives.

Seema is better minus car and having a relationship with the lovely sexy singing landscaper but still unnecessary at this st(age!)

Aidan was always trying to get Carrie to change sonow he has shownhis true colors . I was mortified for her when she had to unfurl and leave the bedroom to shower after the way hehadcarriedonoverthe neighbour and never mind sleeping with his ex ! So glad she ditched him but felt he showed himself up in that episode in Virginia and it was only a matter of time , or her friends shrewd advice

Well done Miranda . Liking her story so much more this season and love her relationship with joy .

    C was always shallow .

Good second half to the season ...is that it ?

The earlier episodes were longer in this series, closer to an hour, seem to be getting shorter as the episodes go. At least they are not dragging out each episode I guess 🤷

It’s confirmed it’s ending at the end of this season in 2 weeks. I for one am breathing a sigh of relief. Because I would have kept watching as long as they kept making them 🙈 even though it’s utter dirge. So I am freeeeee!

Shame they have tainted the legacy of the original so much. Once again, I applaud the instincts of Kim Cattrall.

I have to say I don't think Season 3 has been as bad as the other two and that Party episode was great had real Sex and City vibes to it and at least Carrie finally dumped Audan aswell last week.

💯 totally agree but I was somewhat sad that this is the final end as it's always been a guilty pleasure for me 😁 but realistically how far could it go now, I always thought Big was her one true love.. and that is it..

Do you mean the scene where she was buying pies? I thought that was very strange. If she had been buying pies for so many years she would know how many to buy for the number of guests.

Is it wrong to think a lot of the push back on the new Miranda character is due to real Cynthia Nixon life situation? (coming out as LGBT+ post SITC)

I think the "OK!!! OK!!!! We get it. You're LGBT" was much more pronounced with the Che character and the commentary was more overt for social media and afar.
