All the different ways Epstein had to contact trump. I can only imagine it’s coz Epstein had new talent for trump to try.

Plot twist to make MAGA go wild: not just girls (deplorables have no issues with that I suspect)

From a convicted rapist to a person convicted of assisting a convicted rapist, all of whom were well known to each other…. One thing that's been in my mind for some time now is Trumps "wishing" Maxwell well after she was convicted and put in prison. He made the point of saying it twice. This was after Epstein had died while in custody in 2019. Maxwell had been denied bail and held in custody before her conviction and imprisonment in 2020.

AFAIK, she was held at the Metropolitan Detention Centre, NYC. The centre seems to be also known as the Metropolitan Correction Centre, NYC. I do not know if the Centre has two titles to cover the fact it might house both male and female remand and convicted prisoners in separate wings as it were or if both Epstein and Maxwell were held in different NYC centres.

At this present time, it seems that Maxwell is applying for a retrial, however slim that chance might be, and if it were granted, I can see that some persons would not be at all happy with a rehash of personal connections and evidential matters in court to the media.

They are all over the place...

Ron Johnson suggests Democrats tampered with the Epstein files: "I do know that the Epstein files were in the custody of the Biden administration. I don't know to what extent they added or deleted things."

So firstly there are files, and they will be released when Trump gets in, then there are no files, then there are files, but the Democrats created fake ones, and now we have there are files, but the real ones were doctored by the Democrats. Gotcha.

One question Mr. Johnson... If the Democrats did have the files, and altered them to make Trump look bad.. why didn't they release them in an effort to make him look bad so that they wouldn't lose the election? 🤔

Elect a clown... Expect a circus

Was looking at Google trends for the US. The Astronomer CEO and Trump are trending atm. Weirdly Epstein isn't showing in trends for the last week. Sort of makes me think that there's a level of downplaying of the public mood in those stats cause I'm pretty sure it has to be an omission.

The words on the 'birthday card' don't read like something Trump would come up with. He's far more blunt and hasn't the vocabulary or capacity for writing that.

I’m hoping the press will wake up - I don’t know how well respected Stephen Colbert is but he’s been on that show for nearly a decade so likely held with some esteem - something stinks in terms of his sacking (or not renewing contract) - if it’s political, which doesn’t take much imagination to land on that conclusion, then really the press need to do their job - considering the legal system seems to be in a tizzy and slow to adapt to trumps antics, it’s left to the independent press (if there still is such a thing in America) to hold all to account - but they need to get their finger out

    He wasn’t always senile

He is surprisingly coherent in 80s and 90s

There is zero chance Murdoch would publish this story if they couldn't prove the letter is genuine. Trump may have had help writing the words but I'm sure the letter has his verifiable wet signature.

Trumps claim of "never doing a drawing in his lifel" didn't last long.

In his 2008 book, Trump Never Give Up: How I Turned My Biggest Challenges into Success, Trump wrote about his “new talent,” adding he usually draws for charity and that “it takes me a few minutes to draw something, in my case, it’s usually a building or a cityscape of skyscrapers.”

He continued: “Art may not be my strong point, but the end result is help for people who need it.”

Multiple doodles of his have sold at charity auctions etc. over the years, all sharing a striking stylistic similarity to the supposed fake Epstein letter.

Regardless, I’m just celebrating the fact that it was published at all - it gives some hope that the press are starting to grow a pair

On a side note this will be one of the many angles used by supporters:

E.g. "It doesn't sound like him", "The handwriting is off", "He never sent other private messages like this", "It's strange", etc, etc

For don't know for sure yet whether it's 100%, but the fact that Murdoch couldn't stop it means it could be real. Trump was close friends with Epstein for well over a decade, I am sure there is a litany of correspondence between them.

Even if all that is purely just friendship without any illegal **** going on - it's clear Trump is worried about the guilt by association, which he is inadvertently compounding by going down the current route. I can't figure out if this is all part of a smarter overall strategic move by him or they've fucked up (but currently looking like the latter)

I think they thought that they could just memory hole the entire thing, just like all of his other broken promises.

He was happy to use it as a rallying cry for his base, but it became such an article of faith for them about how Trump was going to "Drain the swamp" and punish the "Liberal elites" that this is the one thing they can't let go of.

Hoist by his own (mushroom shaped) petard as it were.

The problem with being the chaos president that flips tables every week is that when he says some tables are not for flipping this directly confronts his core voter that elected him to flip tables in the first place.

If there's something about Clinton, it would be a tad odd that Trump is choosing not to disclose it. The Biden administration wouldn't have tended to interfere in the justice department investigations, that's very much so a Trump think.

It is pretty amusing watching people try to reframe this on the Democrats. Trump is basically removing the possibility of any further investigations around Epstein.

Democrat administrations (and for balance most GOP administrations up to GWB) have allowed the DOJ to correctly act as an independent entity. They may or may not wanted something released, but wouldn't put excessive pressure on. Biden was the very epitome of doing things the proper old-fashioned way, learned through his 50 year career.

The weaponisation of the DOJ and other quasi-independent branches of government is very much a Trump thing - though only really started near the end of his first term. Up to then he was surrounded by 'protocol people'.

While you may get individual actors in the press who believe it is their job to keep the public informed, the general thrust of the press, independent or otherwise, is to entertain people. Like any other form of media, it's stories people want. Whether those stories are true or particularly important is incidental.

Trump and cronies have understood that better than anyone. Steve Bannon openly bragged about how exactly his 'flood the zone' strategy works and the press still hasn't adjusted because what they care about is money. The just want eyes for ad sales, for clicks, for subscriptions and buys. They'll happily chase the outrage bait to that end.

Nah, can you imagine "Donald, can you please take the diaper off, so we can have fun", bridge too far, Donald's lawyer in the movie "The Apprentice", Roy Cohn, is gay and Donald turns against him in part due to his gayness, when he became less useful to Donald.

Lads, I just asked a question, I'm no Republican lover, far from it. I was just curious and seriously, attacking a poster for just asking a question, makes you guys just as bad as the Maga's who are brainwashed not to question anything.

I refer to the second article in the BBC report below which made me wonder but thanks to @ArmaniJeanss who very kindly explained what I needed to know. Thank you.

The victimhood trope and both sides are standard MAGA tactics. You could have just googled it.

As bad as MAGA? I'd say it's a pretty huge leap to conclude the Democrats were covering for the Clintons. You've implied the Democrats were holding back the files but haven't actually produced any proof that they were. So I'm not inclined to not take somebody particularly seriously when they turn the discussion in a pretty random direction without a solid foundation.

Also it's pretty logical that Trump would absolutely be using the files against his enemies if there was anything worthwhile to utilize.

So I get asking questions but I'd expect a basis for them beyond Epstein knowing them. Also I'd say my response was pretty reasonable to start with and same for @ancapailldorcha .

There's probably lots of people high up in the press world or owners of media companies who visited that island too.

Taken in it's entirety the whole story would suggest that there really isn't a genuine "smoking gun" in there in the case of major US political figures like Trump or Clinton.

Epstein was horrible and no doubt many others were involved to some extent or other but I don't believe there is direct evidence of illegal acts by Trump, Clinton or the like - There isn't a diary entry saying "Procured 16yr old for DJT" or whatever.

I do suspect that there are many prominent people who while not directly participating in the illegal sexual stuff were aware of was happening or at least had strong suspicions and did nothing.

Their names are all over Phone records and event attendance records etc. etc. so they would be major collateral damage if all the details were released and perhaps rightly so. The whole "No smoke without Fire" thing.

But Trump and his team decided to make this thing a big issue to use it as a stick to beat the Democrats with and have painted themselves into a corner now because the MAGA base bought into this story so completely.

I asked a question………… that is all. I did not imply anything, get that straight!!! This is why I rarely post on this forum, you guys are vicious. I was actually delighted with @ArmaniJeanss answer because I was worried. I won't be posting in this thread again, which is a pity because it is a thread I've followed from the start and read every single post.
