I must say I'm impressed that MAGA appears to be holding a principal higher than Trump with this Epstein thing. I wouldn't have thought it was possible. Then again, it comes across as a coordinated effort to move against Trump, but it could just as easily be several prominent influencers pursuing the same contrarian angle.

I mean, who could have thought Trump might have a taste for screwing underage girls? He only has a history of oddly sexual comments about his own daughter, had a reputation for wandering into the dressing rooms at Miss Teen USA, is a proven sexual assaulter and has bragged about women letting him do whatever he wants. I think we can all agree this adds up to a most fine, upstanding and not at all perverse gentleman...

I mean, it is good that MAGA are finally coming to their senses about this specific issue, but ideally they should have come to their senses when a jury found him liable for sexual assault, or when the Access Hollywood tape was released. The MAGA crowd don't exactly have good history of sound moral judgement.

Not only is Trump on the list, it’s very clear that he was FAR closer to Epstein than is made out.

    This is meaty.

Stephen Colbert joking the other night that the network’s skydance merger and trump lawsuit had a condition that some shows would change their tune on trump.
Last night he said that his show was being cancelled.

    Incredible stuff.

TV stations bending the knee and firing anyone who calls them out on it.

    Stewart might be next.

    There might be a purge.

So, this is some of the content Trump was freaking out about.…

    1000013602.jpg 1000013603.jpg

JD Vance asked the dangerous question - does this sound like Trump?

Mr "Grab them by the pussy "?

    Why yes.. yes it does

    1000013601.jpg

Trump says it was fake, which confirms of course, it's true

To be fair Biden was in bad shape. He was making bad mistakes in speeches and debates. He needed to drop out far earlier and the fact that he didn't tarnishes a long life of public service.

And that's not saying anything pro trump. I'd still prefer a senile Biden over Trump.

And the more he swears in response, and the more angry his social media posts are and the more he looks like he’s about to have a heart attack, the greater the chances are, that he either whatever story it is, is true, or it’s hurting him or MAGA in some way, and he needs it to stop.

It’s wonderful that we can see his poker face fall away when he’s really annoyed as opposed to his normal faux outraged act he puts on for show.

His “look over there” efforts aren’t working - he’d probably need to bomb Moscow to get this story off the front pages 😀

Cancelling the Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the most watched late night show in the US, shows real fear in Trump and his conservatives because Colbert has no fear of pointing out the Truth.

CFTrump has tons of history trying to kill stories. When my brother was an editor for the NY Post in the late 1970's, Steve Dunleavy routinely was sent by Trump to the editor desk to kill stories, usually those involving Trump's bad behavior at places like Studio 54.

So, this latest story? Absolutely true. And old enough that Trump had a more-or-less coherent brain to write that message.

a war with Murdoch, oh where is that popcorn maker

Sadly, Trump has his hands on, or his loyalists' hands on, the levers of the mechanisms which would potentially lead to the release of an unredacted copy of the files, i.e. Bondi claiming she had the files back in Feb and now is trying to dismiss the whole thing. These files are the kind of thing that would get released without warning in order to catch Trump unawares. If they're merely being touted, it gives Trump weeks, and counting, of runway to suppress it. The longer this little saga goes on, the slimmer the chances of seeing a full, genuine version becomes.

I mean, if the richest man in the world was crowing about those files shortly after leaving the Trump administration, but then meekly apologised a couple of days later, I would say that the ability of the Trump government to cow internal adversaries isn't exactly inconsiderable.

Very interesting choice of words: "Produce", not "release".

Still plays into conspiracy theories. As others have suggested, I'd expect any evidence to be sacrificial lambs or heavily redacted or newly "produced".

It was mentioned that Trumps fellow well wishers in the Epstein letter did not call it a fake.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 854 ✭✭✭RickBlaine

Murdoch is no fool. He wouldn't have allowed the story to be printed if they couldn't prove the letter is genuine especially considering how litigious Trump is.

Trump can tweet all he wants about suing but I wonder does he really want all this discussed in court.

I think ultimately this will be a severe own goal and will backfire spectacularly - sometimes society needs a catalyst in order to bring on action - whilst this may not be it, it’s certainly a good wake up call to those who have been asleep in America to date - journalists need to start speaking out more - what he said was the truth- Trump and his Rottweiler are both full of hate- there is nothing false in what he said

I am finding it pretty funny that the posters who would frequently go on about TDS have virtually disappeared... It's almost like they're even a bit stuck in terms of what to say.

Of course it is not Trump's drawing or conversation. Trump doesn't have those kind of abilities. What he does have and had then was people in his advertising departments who could do just that, at his direction.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,511 ✭✭✭✭everlast75

    As Ted Lieu points out…

Trump is all over the Epstein files.

    There are:

    -photographs of Trump with Epstein

    -videos of Trump with Epstein

    -quotes by Trump of Epstein

-plane logs of Trump on Epstein’s plane

    -court pleadings naming Trump

    And now this...

I wonder what those "certain things in common" are...

The only thing that doesn't seem right is the felon using or knowing what the word "enigma" means. We know how limited his vocabulary is.

Imagine if they nail pedophile links to a US president.

Trumps immediate cries of fake news makes him look guilty as hell.

I find it very interesting that Murdoch has obviously given the green light to this article. Has he seen the writing on the wall? A powerful ally for a president and a fearful enemy if he turns on you. I'll be watching this with interest.

I don't watch or follow Fox news (I refuse to), but does anyone know if the tone has changed recently? That could be an indicator Murdoch is out for the kill.

He's already looks guilty as hell.

There can't be a single person who believes that letter is a 'fake'. Whatever its significance, good or bad, he clearly had a close friendship with Epstein and wasn't just a casual acquaintance who was on nodding terms with him.
