It never fails to amaze me when the mask slips on the be kind folks.

So it is embarrassing for nurses and teachers who get paid crap for essential jobs and not able to find a home.

It is embarrassing for the people who make your roll in a deli or serve you a meal in a restaurant.

The only person who should be embarrassed is you with your post.

Basically anyone who is not a homeowner in a housing crisis is an embarrassment.

What an outlook on life, I wouldn't suggest you make your feelings known outside the comfort of an anonymous online forum.

Not half as embarrassing as our own government outbidding our young people on housing. Sorry kids, head for the airport - we're busy housing the palani's and puska's.

Speaking of embarrassment - the cops found e250k in cash in palani's house while the government were providing them with social housing.

Have any of our plucky journalists investigated whether we are still providing them with accommodation? Even better many countries in Europe are sending syrians back now Assad's gone - are palani's getting sent back? If not, why not?

Where did I claim we're facing a wave of foreign billionaire immigrants? Why are you making stuff up?

You said an Irish person should be embarrassed if they are outbid on a house by a foreigner, care to elaborate on that?

On that basis Irish homeless people should be ashamed of themselves, as should Irish people renting.

Come on, you made the bold claim, own it now rather than running away from it.

Do you routinely spit on homeless people on the street? You sound like the kind that might (as long as they are Irish of course).

I remember when the right would bleat on and on about how tax is wrong, how important it was for one to pull oneself up by the bootstraps and the value of hard work. Obviously, this was establishment nonsense to justify not taxing capital but it didn't take long for them to switch to perpetual victimhood.

The constant demonisation of immigrants shows what the agenda is. If they wanted cheaper housing, they'd be lobbying for it. Same for more school places, more doctors and nurses, better transport, etc..

There's a reason you never see Herman Kelly, Justin Barrett, Philip Dwyer, Gemma O'Doherty & co volunteering at the food bank or even openly supporting fixing real problems.

The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.

Haha, here comes the wave of 'HOW DARE YOU SAY THIS ABOUT IRISH PEOPLE!, GOOD IRISH DOCTORS, NURSES!' I'll be called a traitor next. 😂

My point being (which you all missed in the pile on to jump down my throat) is that all the anti immigrant posters on here bang on ad nauseum how immigrants are 'coming in here, scounging welfare, getting free houses, free supports moan moan bitch moan'.

Now apparently they're outbidding Irish people on new builds.

Which is it? Do tell, I'm all ears.

And if someone ever suggested paying the nurses and teachers more, there'd be hysterics about tax rises.

Nice strawman. Yourself and the horsey lad must have a whole army of them.

I wouldn't blame you for trying to run away from the "poor people are embarrassing scum" post, it is not something anyone who isn't a sociopath would want to be associated with.

    Carry on.

    Out comes another strawman!

It reflects badly on your pretense of being the good 'ol lefty when you are defending the "poor people are scum" guy.

Or they could vote for parties that promise to deliver more social housing, more schools, more hospitals and be less reliant on private businesses to solve social issues.

I completely own the claim that any Irish person who is simultaniously giving out about foreigners coming in and leeching off the system while at the same time, saying they're being outbid by said foreigners on new builds probably needs to take a long look at their life choices.

'Spit on homeless people' 😂 - you're hilarious. On the same front, I take it you're the type to routinely slash immigrant tents and kick dogs.

No, as I have never claimed immigrants should be ashamed of themselves.

I believe we should have tighter immigration rules (or even implement the ones we already have).

I don't believe anyone should be embarrassed because they are poor or homeless, because that would make me a scumbag.

It took me a while to appreciate this but most people like things the way they are. They also don't spend their time shrieking about immigrants so the silent majority trope is clearly nonsense.

There are a lot of people with houses who don't want the value dropping, don't want to pay more tax, don't want asset taxes and who would rather use the private sector instead of the HSE.

There is no left vs right in Ireland, only classism. Equally, often there is no point in debate on the topic of immigration, views too polarised to even find a middle ground to start a conversation.

    You embarassed too?

I was at some new build open houses last week and kept being outbid by Afghan refugees, it was really annoying. Should have known better, anyone who owns a boat (no matter how small) must be minted.

You were literally pushing a far right, white supremacist conspiracy theory yesterday.

It gets worse with every reading.

A good test I use of what I post here is "would I say this in front of my wife or a gang of my friends" - not whether they'd like it or agree with it, just would I say it - I have deleted posts that I was writing when I realised that it wasn't something I'd say in front of my wife or friends.

If the poster who posted that put that test on that particular post, you'd hope that he would realise how scummy it is. He would get an earful of abuse in most company for it, and would be lucky not to get worse.

There can be scroungers coming here to milk the system and immigrants outbidding Irish people for housing.

It doesn't have to be one or the other.

The people who suffer are those in low earning jobs.

You have made it very clear how you feel about someone who can't afford a home.

It might be worth reflecting on this before your virtue signaling posts in the future making you feel like you are a good compassionate person.

I love how folks like yourself go on about the 'virtual signalling left' when it comes to immigration, meanwhile go on to post some of the most sickeningly self righteous drivel I think I've ever seen on the internet.

What do you want, an applause? A gold star? Well done you I suppose, just a shame you don't delete more of your posts on here after writing them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,289 ✭✭✭prunudo

This is what I mean, there's no point in debate, you believe anything other than your opinion to be far right conspiracy theories. I posted facts, the Eu, Un and wef are behind the drive for immigration, Roderic O'Gorman just happened to buy into their ideas. Its not far right to point out Agenda 2030 and Agenda 2040 are real.

I know, you're angry and ashamed after you've outed yourself on how you truly feel about your fellow man. Hitting out at me won't make it any better. Your anger needs to be directed inwards, so you can change. Blaming others for your own shortcomings is what got you here in the first place.

Not when you're promoting a hateful, racist conspiracy theory. It's objectively untrue.

Finite resources and infinite people will never make sense.

People can shout racist all they want. It will never change the fact that there is a logocal and illogical side to this debate.

Just telling it like it is brother, I look forward to your next anti immigrant post.

Intrigued to see whether you'll go after the poor or rich ones, I suppose it depends which suits your agenda at the time.

I don't remember claiming to be a good or a compassionate person on here? I just don't like racists, not sure if that makes me good or what, I don't really care tbh.

I feel like people who can afford a home should be allowed to buy a home, doesn't matter what their skin colour is or where they're from. Not sure what's so difficult to understand about that.

The ones who suffer the most at the moment are actually the immigrants on low earning jobs.

Who not only can't afford a home, but are putting up with abuse from absolute bottom dwelling scum, perpetuated by all this racist nonsense they're reading online blaiming them for all the ills of Ireland.

You said an Irish person should be embarrassed if they are outbid on a house by a foreigner, care to elaborate on that?

That’s not what was said though, it was clearly elaborated on already -

Must be embarassing growing up in a first world country with free college education only to get outbid on houses by immigrants 'from shithole countries'.

    Out comes another strawman!

"Telling it like it is" - that's one way to describe hating poor and working class people alright.

I won't "go after" anyone based on their socioeconomic class, because I'm not a scumbag. I will continue to criticise the immigration scam being used by the connected rich in this country to fill their pockets with taxpayers funds, while champagne socialist clowns run interference for them.

Another pretend lefty who hates the working class!

You guys don't just let the mask slip, you fling it away when one of you are in over his head.

'hating poor and working class people' - You do know that some of the poorest people in this country are immigrants?

    Pot, kettle, black?

Oh I know, but we know you don't hate THOSE poor people. Only the Irish ones. If you hated all poor people, you couldn't pretend to be one of the good guys. By only hating poor Irish people, you're snug and comfortable in the Irish left.
