Start by speaking about your partner a bit better and yes there'll always be others with more but plenty gave less.

Same situation as op earning just over 70k my partner is caring for our two children so sole earner also. On paper it looks like good money and it's not to be sniffed at. you can take your child out of the state funded school and put them in a private school if you like. At primary level that’ll cost you around 15000 a year.
that’s how much your child’s education is subsidised every year at the very least. Private schools also get tax payers money.
