Salthill was the worst. 7 changes. I was thinking Dessie owes me a fiver!
The GAA should bring in a rule any more than 3 changes to the named team sheet . Unless exceptional medical circumstances Is a fine for the manager. And county board 5k each.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

I have a Upper Cusack adult and juvenile ticket to spare for hurling Saturday week if anyone interested.

    Now gone.

Con on the bench again. If he's not fit to play a proper part in the game that's us fucked. We are a totally different team going forward without him and unless we play absolutely out of this world I can see Tyrone having to much for us.

    Anyway fingers crossed he's fine!

The Hurlers being out the following weekend has probably had an impact on numbers as well.

I saw an article there in the indo. Barney Rock saying the Dublin forwards “lack confidence” on the two pointers.
I was thinking Jayus one way to solve that tell his young fella to come back!

If Ger Brennan does get the job next if I was him. I would try and get Dean back. It is really odd how limited this team has become so dependent on one player. Frustrating Most of the other countries left have plenty of options in their sides.

Dublin is now a team of plodders in the fowards barcCon. Thought Bugler might be the new man. But he has dipped in the lastc few. Kilkenny is not really a forward anymore.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

who will come in for Crummy next week?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,020 ✭✭✭Tombo2001

yeah amazing really that Dublin had such a wealth of talent 8 or 10 years ago compared to where they are now. There is no way Dean Rock would or should come back - 35 years old, two young kids, he'd need to get his head checked if he considered it.

Paul Mannion is still only 31 I think and an excellent long range shooter. W

  • Subscribers Posts: 16,881 ✭✭✭✭copacetic

he was 100% going to be named on bench whether starting or not, so not much to read into that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,203 ✭✭✭✭gormdubhgorm

I did think your argument re Rock. But he played u21same year as Michael Murphy. And look at him flying it. Rock is a fit 35.

Honestly when Dublin were looking unbeatable two/three forwards might have long term injuries. And I kinda would forget about them!

Depends on Ger Brennan ability to coax a few back. Assuming he gets the hot seat. Badly need a few leader types. Or some new blood with a bit of “go” in them.

Whatever about Mannion coming back i think there's next to no chance Rock does.

Do pubs abroad show Gaa + particular the canaries or do I need to purchase it?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 398 ✭✭Edser

Irish bars should probably show them, but check if games are on TV or GAA+. GAA+ might be trickier.

Be doing well to get 65k for Saturday at this point. Sunday games showing as hill and nally availability only.

Saturday games have the following availability

I wonder why it is the pattern of Dublin doing well in the first 10 minutes or so hitting one pointers. Then the other side start landing two pointers and are suddenly level or even ahead.

according to papers this morning, Saturday was at 63k yesterday afternoon and Sundays at 75k. A little surprised at such a big gap, but there is a lot on in Dublin today so possibly losing a fair number of people already booked in to the other events for 6 months or a year rather than the 6 days notice event. Sunday’s are much more flexible for most people.

Primary schools ended also and a lot of families would have gone away this week and pull the kids out early as prices can be a few hundred quid for a few days different

Regarding Saturday's attendance, I think the Dublin success since 2011 has in itself created a monster. What I mean is so many of us went through heart ache of not winning even Leinster to becoming a six in a row AL champions team.

Younger supporters maybe have gotten too used to Dublin winning and the mentality of 'well if we don't win I'm not going' may be creeping in.

There is a big senior Dublin GAA club in my area but soccer and LOI is now huge, no longer the poor relation. Don't get me wrong I'm not putting blame on anyone - that issue has been discussed to the death.

The writing has been on the wall over the last two years when it comes to league and championship attendances. The GAA, Leinster Council and Dublin county board have definitely taken their eye of the ball and maybe need to promote games a little more and get out of the comfort zone.

Con not starting. That would imply Farrell was being less than honest last week.

To much standing off at the arc to allow them to hit 2 pointers. Rushed things after the hooter

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,871 ✭✭✭MFPM

You feel they have the beating of Tyrone, they're the better team but just not clinical enough upfront and given they seem incapable of hitting 2 pointers they need to take every other score.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,101 ✭✭✭Sultan of Bling

    Would agree with this.

Dublin will kick themselves if they don't win this.

Effort has been immense, some great turnovers. Just that little bit rushed at times. Better team, not on the scoreboard

    Come on the Dubs!!

McGoldrick certainly not giving us much this half.

"Well, yeah, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man"

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,871 ✭✭✭MFPM

4 mins to, hard to see Dublin doing it...just not clinical up front.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 14,639 ✭✭✭✭JRant

Difficult to win on the best of days but playing against 16 men in that second half was unsurmountable.

"Well, yeah, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man"

Shocking up front by Dublin....it's been coming all championship, just not clinical enough. The inability to hit 2 pointers has been a massive problem. Will we see Kilkenny, Costello next year? Real issues for Dublin moving forward..

Yeh, ref was very poor but I can’t get over how bad we were

I normally laugh at JRant giving out about the ref like he does during every dublin match but he has a point today. Seemed to let a lot more go for Tyrone and then give them fouls when dublin made similar tackles.

Savage intensity in the tackle from both teams but only one team penalised for it.
