No, I really don't care either way, but blaming Trump on the Democrats is a complete cop-out. The Democrats have been feeble, agreed, but the main problem is that too many Americans are stupid, ill-educated and brainwashed. And that is down to a lifetime of flag-worship, poor education, insularity, consumerism, and personal insecurity created by the 'might, and wealth, is right' system. Their total conviction that they have rights and freedom has perversely led to a lack of, and distain for, personal rights and freedoms. They pretty much believe anything they are told by snake-oil salesmen, whether of a political or religious flavour.

There wasn't much resistance in the USA to begin with. Netenyahu got 28 standing ovations while addressing a joint sitting of the Senate and Congress.

They both have a promised land mindset that absents them from any feelings of wrongdoing.

Such wars usually arise closer to election time when polls matter more- but I can’t help but think this will give Trump a major boost in poll ratings - I also can’t see Democrats winning the next presidential election - if you create a war footing situation then “might is right” tends to be the election theme.

It remains to be seen how Russia responds in all of this and just how much more escalation occurs- Iran needs Russian support but does this become some sort of world war by proxy?

China may well take advantage by stirring things elsewhere - Taiwan for example - world is getting more fcked by the day

What Russia, Israel and now the USA under Trump have in common is the desire to annex lands against the will and consent of those living there.

A simple. question. If your sovereign country was being attacked by the US and you were given the choice of being attacked by either /or the following options which would you choose:-

(1). The use of chemicals such as naphalm, agent orange, nerve gas to ‘put manners on you’

OR

(2) bomb all our nuclear facilities - including nuclear bomb making capacity- into ‘ smithereens’

My hoice would always be (B) no point in picking (A) and not being around to enjoy the ‘fruits’ of (B)

The US could probably give you more options but the above two have been used by It so they are ‘proven’ options

The level of interceptor stocks is a highly sensitive subject in Israel, but “it could be a factor in a ceasefire” this time as well, Inbar said.

Yawn. They were behind October 7th and one of their stated goals is the destruction of Israel while enriching uranium to needlessly high levels unless you wanted a bomb. They were backing Assad, Hezbollah, HAMAS and the houthis. They might as well be at war. Oh and bonus points for them giving Russia a dig out in the war in Ukraine.

You mean regime change in Iran? Sure we've already had the Islamists install regime change that's basically led to a totalitarian government.
