Surprised by that one, but kicked a few good scores

How on earth he got MoM I'll never know, met a few Dublin supporters leaving the stadium as bemused as I was by that decision..

Really odd thing is this team seem to find goals easier than two pointers. Maybe they should just forget the two pointers and keep working the ball in for tap overs/goals!

If this Dublin are not going to change at this stage, they never will. Positive is that the team kept going. But there is a nagging feeling it was made a lot harder than it should have been, wides etc.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

I have Paddy marked down as four from play. Was inconsistent to say the least. To be honest I think Jones from Cork should have got it. But they rarely give it to a losing team. Personally I thought Bugler was Dublin’s best player on the day.

As good as POCB has been this season, he had the ball in the 2nd half with the goal or gimme point for the taking, but chose to pass to Lee Gannon, I think, but the angle was against him and we ended up with nought. Is he afraid to get on the scoresheet

Touch of the Shane Ryan’s about him, non scoring wise. But he is as least improving winning ball. Christ he has had some terrible games in the past .

Doesn’t seem to have a swagger/confidence about him. Maybe Peadar’s midfield partner needs to tell him he is brilliant! Or I suppose given who his mammy is - iontach!

It was a terrible decision even punch it over .It should have put us two up but in fact the game was level again a minute or so after .

They had juvenile tickets available through the the clubs for the last Dublin game in CP, it something they are bringing back which is great to see.

The Hurlers we're magnificent today. I've seen multiple replays of Crummeys red and get up the yard outta that, it's never a red. There's plenty of worse tackles week in amd week out that don't even get a yellow. Great performance for the lads today though.

Stuck Around for the football and it was a dour affair. Dessy just got get the lads firing at all. Every time we injected a bit of pace into the game Cork couldn't live with us.

"Well, yeah, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man"

So the hurlers get Cork on the 5th, there'll be no fear going into it.

    Absolutely buzzing after that.

Hopefully the lads get good support as Cork will have a large crowd there.

I was hoping we wouldn't freeze like we did against Kilkenny last year but I didn't think we had that in us against such a formidable team. Yes Limerick didn't exactly hit their usual stride but our application was first class regardless. Everyone worked tirelessly for it and their aggression was spot on. All without Sutcliffe, Burke, Crummey and Conor Donohue too.

I know Conor Burke was majestic in banging the sliothar over the bar but how good were the full back line. McHugh took the game to his man in a fashion I've rarely seen from a Dublin player. Relentless.

We'll give Cork a game at least with a repeat performance. For now I'm just happy that the lads did themselves justice and showed the country what's in them.

Your last point is spot on, it was frustrating how pedestrian Dublin were at times, yet when they ran at Cork they got joy, Howard's goal a real case in point.

cork were similar it taking forever on the ball, it’s fine when you make it count but again we worked really good positions a few times then rushed shots. Paddy had one in particular where a simple stop put him in behind, looked like a goal chance, a punch over but he kicked it with loads of room from relatively tight angle and missed. Having said that he was unplayable for first 5 mins and made a lot of the space late on, was best forward. Midfield did very well again and defence wasn’t terrible, just got caught out with what looked a terrible linesman call for the goal. We had three close together where he had no idea what to do.

Well done to the hurlers yesterday. Inspiring performance. Limerick couldn't live with yere running game. Tough on crummy to miss the semi final. Don't think there's a chance of it being overturned. Think he got away with a similar one against Lee chin.

Conor Donohoe will be back and donal Burke will have another 2 weeks training in him

Very surprised that Paddy Small got MOTM. He was his usual frustrating and inconsistent self. Finished with three or four points, but should have had far more with the chances that he got. Repeatedly turned into rather than away from his marker, his one-sidedness never more on display. Good for the first five minutes and when the Cork defence tired at the end, but in-between he was close to awful.

We have a real problem in the full-forward line. None of those who started today would have got near a permanent starting position in the 2011-2020 team. Yes Costello was there for some of that but spent most of the time in and out of the team.

Tis expensive supporting the best Dual county in the Country. Wouldn’t have it any other way.

So who are we hoping to get in the draw? We can get everyone bar Armagh if I'm correct. Tyrone are inconsistent, another go at Meath, Monaghan hit big scores but concede too. I worry if Dublin come up against a team that can hit 2 pointers.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,102 ✭✭✭Sultan of Bling

I'd love another crack at Meath.

Would expect a huge crowd and great atmosphere.

    Just like the old days.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,073 ✭✭✭eire4

Personally I am hoping its a rematch with Meath.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,571 ✭✭✭rolling boh

Would take Monaghan of the three, hearing a few fans thinking we would take Meath this time but that's certainly not a given .

  • Subscribers Posts: 16,881 ✭✭✭✭copacetic

prefer Meath also. Hope it’s on Sunday also rather than another short notice Saturday

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,102 ✭✭✭Sultan of Bling

    Indeed it isn't.

As I said above, if we are drawn against them, I think the hype around it will be massive.

When is the last time a championship match with 2 Leinster teams had that.

If it is another close contest it could be the start of another majestic era of battles between the 2 counties.

And does the Leinster championship needs it.

I would imagine Dublin v ? And Kerry V Armagh will be Saturday. Bit unfair on Donegal and Galway to get such a short turnaround.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,571 ✭✭✭rolling boh

Don't mind some battles with them as long as we win ,live near them so defeat is hard to stomach.
