Long shot but I have a panerai 1219 for sale.

Its the carbotech version of the chronograph. 13k dec 2023 retail is 16.7k

Also maybe a cartier santos blue.

Super watches, but new favorite could mean I don't wear either as much.

I gave up on Adverts as a lost cause.

Can send photos by what's app

Have you given Chrono24 a try? The fee is reasonable imo and you get a much bigger pool of buyers than adverts or here. Pam's are an acquired taste and finding the right buyer may well mean needing to go international.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 59,875 ✭✭✭✭unkel

And trying to sell a €10k PAM shrinks your local target audience by about 99.99% compared to selling a €3k PAM

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 549 ✭✭✭gerfmurphy

I did sell on chrono24 before.

If it comes that I have to get it sold I will consider that market.

I listed here just on the chance someone was looking.

As mentioned a long shot I know.

    I appricate the advice anyways

post some pictures and details of the two watches and you never know there’s a really solid watch community here and while one of us might not be interested I know I pass on listings to other watchaholocs in my own network who are not on here!

They are both particularly nice watches, although the number of people with such good taste is limited. Dont give up on adverts too quickly, the key on there is you either have to wait a long time and deal with the tyre kickers, scammers and dreamers, or sell cheap. A good buyer will spot a bargain and jump on it, but it need to be priced to instill a massive fear of missing out.

3.7k off a 17k panerai will not do that. Chrono prices would be in the 11-12k region and adverts would be lower again. Santos is 35-50% off retail to get it sold. If those prices dont suit, stick them on chrono and wait, or get watchfinder to quote you. You might get lucky anywhere and the right buyer will crop up, but they are esoteric.

Agree with above post, especially since in the market for a specific Panerai and my reasoning is the same, unless it is ~40% off retail I'm not even looking - so far I've seen ones only ~15-20% off retail and for that amount of money and for something I plan on keeping for quite a bit of time I'll not only buy it from a shop but will fly to Paris to buy it for the full experience and royal treatment (not that there is money to waste but considering this being an experience purchase then as well). It really has to be a great deal to make me buy a used one.

Another thing I can't help but notice is people sell some of these (especially basic models) with 6 straps, there is no bigger tell that the person really isn't happy with how the watch looks like than having 6 straps for it - yet the ad will say how brilliant the watch is :) my reasoning then is I'll hate it in 3 weeks as well and changing the strap won't do the trick. So I'd consider avoiding that while advertising 😂

To be fair panerai owners tend to be strap happy, it's just a thing with the watches rather than people not being happy with them, it's a whole cottage industry after market panerai straps

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 549 ✭✭✭gerfmurphy

I have about 20 straps for panerai.

I have my 233 about 14 years. I like having the ability to have a different feel/look/vibe from leather, rubber, sailcloth, suede and various colours for seasons. Gives me alot of choices and I like that.

I have a nearly new Apple Watch Ultra 2 Black Titanium for sale. I purchased it on an auction site at a good price, but I’ve only used it for a few days.

It comes with warranty and is completely intact with the box. I’m asking €500.

Is this the right place to post it? If so, send me a message for pictures and more setails :)

My Speedie Mark II had a complete rebuild when I bought it, and comes with the original 1162 bracelet and clasp.

However, for everyday use, I'm throwing in an Uncle Seiko 1171 bracelet, which was a dealer option back in the day, with the an Omega 1502 clasp, and with a Mark series clasp cover, and 660 end links to match the square ends of the case.

    https://www.chrono24.com/omega/speedmaster-mark-ii--id39595003.htm

I also have the 'hens teeth' vintage ref 735 end links for the 1171, but they would be extra.

The crystal is a sapphire crystal fitted professionally with all gaskets by a Dublin vintage specialist and pressure tested to more than 10m water resistance. So properly splash proof, but wouldn't recommend swimming with a vintage speedie!

There is a substantial discount for anyone of this parish, or indeed, on the island.

Bought this in the Summer of 2020, which was the same time I started jogging and so I've ended up with a garmin on my wrist most of the time.... This one has seen very, very little use. Don't think there are any marks on it that I can see.

I have proof of purchase and all the bits that arrived with the watch. I also bought an alligator strap around the same time, just to try it out really, but put the bracelet back on immediately and never used the strap. Also have the receipt for the strap, bought from a place in Paris.

Asking €3200, which seems to be at the lowest end of Chrono pricing, but typically they are asking more and are mostly located outside the EU. It's mostly a dark face, you only really see the blue flash if the light catches it.

    It's a Grand Seiko SBGA375 Spring Drive.
