Thinking of knocking some tomorrow in North Cork, looks a solid week ahead. Some rain to get out of the way tomorrow and then looks solid. Should have a better idea by tomorrow anyway what it looks like

Going to mow hay here today and leave turning it till the rain passes after tomorrow.some brutal heavy crops with all the rain we have had the past few weeks

Thinking the same here, not much rain showing here tomorrow anyway, might not even come. Then looking good until wednesday week.

knocked 5 acres myself. Very heavy. Will need a lot of sun. Might just wrap it up as Haylage on Friday

I had clothes on the line and they didn’t dry fully at all even in that breeze. It must be humid.

Cut about 10 acres here today. Fingers crossed.

rain forecast for Saturday now as well.

Our hay was ruined last year with a day of heavy rain just as it was ready to bale. Hope to god it doesn’t happen again. May need to wrap Friday.

The contractor couldn’t get to me yesterday. Chance of rain today and set to pour across the country on Saturday with temperatures dropping a few degrees and potential rain the following Monday night. I wonder should I wait now. The temperature isn’t enough to bail by Friday and might not dry out well enough to bale Monday.

I was gonna chance cutting today but after the rain last night which is still ongoing and the risk of rain Saturday now I think I'm gonna postpone and wait for the next spell.

Hopefully anyone that cut early will get it by Friday or who knows we might end up not getting any rain if the high pressure settles in it could turn into a longer dry spell..

alit of heavy rain this morning ing. Much heavier than I was expecting. However it’s to get good from the afternoon.
was going to cut a secind but today but will leave off now .
it doesn’t seem quite a s good or settles as they indicated 48 hrs ago.

I checked 5 websites last night and none of them hinted about that rain on Saturday. Now it’s rain across the country. It’s getting harder to make hay every year.

Last year I mowed June 18th, crop was heavy and wet on the headlands, it rained the 21st but with enough turning I got it baled the 24th.

The next window for hay was July 27th and baled August 1st. Rapeseed was harvested this week since it was a great week.

rain gone off met Éireann app again for my area on Saturday. I think we had a similar situation last year and it ended up with torrential rain. Hope that doesn’t happen again.

Glad I didn't call off my man this morning I had just said to wrap it but if it doesn't rain I'll hold out for hay.

If you didn’t check the weather this morning you would never have known about it. It’s looking good again so dropped 16 acres.

    And gone again… (here anyway)
Temperatures all forecast higher now too, with a couple of days over 25C

the weather forecast played havoc with us last year. No rain and then a tiny bit of rain forecast. Ended up torrential for hours. We could have wrapped if we’d known.

the unpredictability of the weather makes this a lottery most years. luckily got 13 acres in May, and have another 30 acres down now. Hopefully get a couple of good days to finish it off.

These weather apps would have you driven demented. Went from showing practically no rain here for tonight, to heavy rain before bed, and now back to practically no rain.
