I have zero interest in any modern Toyota or Honda. Like a lot of people I really like the crappy 80s/90s economy cars but modern stuff is just so bland. I'd much rather a 90s CRX or a Nissan Cube. Hell give us the CRZ!

I'm going to see how long it will take to do a lap of the Nordschleife in the Carry.

I think I remember the Midget being around 6 to 10 business days on one of the older Gran Turismos

    This too shall pass.

Now all they need is to allow a Hayabusa engine swap and we're rocking the Ring.

Got gold on it two weeks ago but had to go back in two days ago as it was knocked down to silver. Took maybe ~20 attempts to get back into gold by 1 tenth.

New tt out. This time it is the new (to the game) corvette C5 around dragon trail seaside. Wait didn't we have that just recently? Yes, but it was the C4, it's like they're not even trying any more

It would be nice if they gave us a track pack.

Honestly I'd rather they gave us a few months without cars if it meant 2-3 good tracks. I know tracks are a lot of work and there's probably licencing issues particularly as it seems brands are locked into other games but I'd love Sebring or Mugello for example, even a previous existing fictional track rather than bland modern cars like the CHR or CRV.

I'm enjoying driving the Lexus RCF Group 3 around Tokyo Express South.

Did the Tokyo Expressway online race good few times yesterday. A lot of fun and with 1000% increase in prize money, I was getting >300K credits for winning <8min clean races.

Picked up the PSVR2 the other day priced at 399 now, its a different game using that, although i am underwhelmed by the GFX, they aint bad obviously, but i have been sitting in front of a 77 inch OLED since i bought the game, so will take getting used to.

But what a difference in the game play, on the flat screen i was doing 1.56.2 on tokyo daily race with a bit of improvement if i put the best lap together.

i did around 15 laps in VR and i was 1.56.8 with plenty more room for improvement, jumped into a race and crashed a load of times, my brain couldn't handle the information overload with cars everywhere, so will take getting used to, only did 2 races so far but it is amazing to play in VR.

I think i will definitely be quicker with VR, with the added bonus that i can move my wheel and seat into the corner of the living room and not have to be in front of the tv.

The soft money days are over anyway 😭. Its months work to afford 20m credit cars. I don't know if it will hold my interest long enough to do that. It would be great if they could make it a bit easier to earn credits but if people are still buying credit they would have no incentive to do so.

The WTC 600 race at Tokyo Expressway is your friend. Each win there pays out at least 550k, and should take just under 30 minutes. It's pretty easy to get a Clean Race Bonus there too.

    So about ~35 races/17 hours to buy 1 car…

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,869 ✭✭✭✭Jordan 199

I would never spend 20 million credits on a car. Or even 10 million credits on a car.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,167 ✭✭✭✭PopePalpatine

Yeah, it's a stupidly long grind, I'm not defending it. I feel like those cars are like Lv.100 Pokemon, it's something to aim towards when you're finished with the main game.

I feel like I spent close to €10 million on something… the CLK LM? I do have the 911 Strassenversion too. Doubt I won them somehow… I assume those cars are for the people who play a lot of online and have the credits to splash (going by the credit count SuperGT has on his videos). To casuals like myself, they're unobtainable. Throw in some of them requring a RNG drop to even be invited, the lootbox system in general and the monetisation, they kinda killed it for me. I still play the odd race, usually try and do the weekly challenges but I've mostly lost interest in it. Kinda wish they'd do a Gran Turismo Horizon, even if FH goes the opposite and throws too much money/cars at you so that you feel like there's nothing to progress! There's a happy medium there somewhere, and I think a new Burnout could fill it! Oh, imagine a GT/Burnout crossover, not that the precious car manufacturers would be ok with their cars getting destroyed.

Ugh, don't remind me of those lootboxes surprise mechanics. My garage is littered with semi-racing exhausts for C7 Corvettes and carbon brake kits for Dodge Charger Safety Cars.
