Every review I have seen on the Elroq isn't exactly glowing about the suspension, firm and rarely settled by all accounts.

I am assuming they give themselves plenty of padding on the app for delivery tbh, the Dealer has always said mid March production for delivery end of April which is more in line with the timelines you say, Will wait a week or two before emailing them to see if all stay on course.

3 month delay for the one coming in my family too. Car built the other day. Would imagine some will want to wait for 252. DCC is well worth it on it but it’s only available at the higher end of prices.

Is that delay on the app or you heard from dealer?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,495 ✭✭✭MarkN

doesn’t say delay just says expected delivery. App.

ah right yeah mine is the same but everything the dealer has told me so far has been right and what I have read online is that the App tends to extend the delivery a bit more than people real experiences so fingers crossed

I’ll try and find out a bit more from Skoda Ireland tomorrow and report back.

Of course I get notified that it's ready to pick up just when I am away on holidays. Ah well seething to look forward to at end of a holiday is rare.

Had this a little over a week now and absolutely loving the transition to electric. I stayed with SKoda as I was a fan of theirs anyway but they really have done very very well with this car imo ( potentially biased).

Best of luck with it, lovely car, surprisingly close to enyaq just that little bit smaller, strange how they have made them so closely matched to each other.

Wonder when skoda are going to do the EV Octavia, even with the move to EVs the octavia stayed a top seller.

Octavia… cause you can still get one for low 30s!

VW Group are going to do a lot of similar sized EVs and ICE over the next few years in order to try and give so many options that you stay within the family, in an ideal world at least!

Anyone push the button on an Elroq 60? Very close to doing so, have pushed the dealer pretty hard but not sure if we have the best deal yet. Anyone got any good deals?

    Dealer has included:
    Free service pack (€1250 value)
    Free road tax

What spec? This the one with a useable 55 kWh?

The motor tax for 1 year? So value is €120.

Whats included in the Service Pack?

The sales brochure states this is included in the Delivery Charge.

The €1250 service pack doesn’t offer much value anyway unless your Elroq has 20”/21” wheels. Better to get €1250 off the price instead.

That’s kinda where I was heading. But I suppose it depends if Skoda require the yearly “service” to keep warranty and then how many years it’s pack covered?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,166 ✭✭✭joe1303l

Not sure on the warranty requirement to require a skoda service history. General warranty is 3 years or 150K Km’s. HV Battery is 8 years or 160K Km’s.
Other than inspections at 24 months and 36 months, the 3 year service pack will only get you 1 set of wipers/tyres, a pollen filter and a brake fluid change. It includes brake pads if worn but very unlikely in 36 months on an EV.

Agree, ive gone over 4 years on original tyres so may not even get a set of tyres!

if it were me, i’d be swapping for the 2 year warranty extention as a priority, its circa €700(years 4 & 5) + maybe something else as well, sometimes, these are not available to purchase after buy it,

it has a long term value, and peace of mind, if youre keeping beyond 3 years, or reselling privately. the service pack only has value if you get a full set of tyres, and even then that's circa €900, plus playing in advance, for something you may never use- albeit depends on your mileage.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,166 ✭✭✭joe1303l

Warranty extension is only valid to 150K Km’s so not much use if doing high mileage.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,495 ✭✭✭MarkN

20/21” premium tyres don’t come cheap, I’d much rather that option than a low mileage capped extended warranty personally.

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 40,923 Mod ✭✭✭✭Gumbo

Can be supplied and fitted for under €1k so have to weigh up the costs.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,679 ✭✭✭fafy

seeing as the average Irish driver does about 18k kms annually, most people will be well within that range,

Always exceptions of course, and rural drivers would have a higher average. but most Irish drivers, don’t do anywhere near 150k kms in 5 years.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,166 ✭✭✭joe1303l

Fair point but I would think the “average” driver is unlikely to spend €50K on a new car to have it sitting on their driveway. The average age of a car here is 9 years old. That 30K Km’s per year from new is only just over 18K miles per year in old money. Not that unusual in my experience.

Update on this. Got around €1000 off list plus the below included at no additional cost.

3 year service pack (pretty sure we will require at least two rear tires within that period)
    Metallic
    2 year warranty extsnsion
    1 year road tax

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,679 ✭✭✭fafy

That sounds good, thats tots about 3k off the € 38,416 sticker price +Metallic, did you stay with the Elroq 60 ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,310 ✭✭✭Stallingrad

Yes, the 80 was over €4k extra and we didn't see the value in that as most of the journeys are short enough.
