It looks like 1k off the list price, which is €38,416, for the 60 variant without any extras, inc delivery, but excluding, metallic extras

I do wonder if this car defeats the purpose of the Sportline…?

Collected the OH's new Elroq yesterday. Very nice, looks great in Timiano Green with the Lodge interior (red seatbelts). The interior is a nice upgrade from the rather drab and dark Loft, for not a lot of money (€690).

    First impressions.

    Pros:
    Impressive solid build
    Very spacious and bright interior
    Crisp and fast infotainment
Very well planted, nice steering and handling and well calibrated, progressive brakes (unlike some EV's)
Column stalks the same as a 10 year old Superb, if it ain't broke don't fix it (Audi)
Very quick, only the 60 model but plenty fast.
Boot storage, side shelves and under floor storage well thought out

    Cons:
Ride is very firm, back seat passengers in particular will know all about speed bumps, I have read reviews that praised the ride comfort, can't agree with them. Will be checking tyre pressures.
Screen not angled toward driver will take some getting used to, when the drivers seat is close to the wheel for a short driver, the screen orientation is very poor.
Road noise not as well surpassed as you would hope.
    Glove box is tiny.
Plastic grab handle for the boot feels entirely inadequate for such a heavy tailgate.

Not sure if this is on all trim levels but how is this not on every EV??? From AutoEV on YouTube.

Going to look into getting a cargo net that fits the size of the parcel shelf in my Born. My 10m cable on the boot floor is actually a pain in the arse.

First reason is with if the cable. Especially if it’s a 7.5m 32a cable.
Second could be that others have designed cubbies in the boot itself, similar to the Model Y that has the small 3 inch cubby under the rear boot liner towards the front.

But you are correct that every EV should have a dedicated placement for a near cable store, similar to the spare wheel of late.

The Born has a tiny hatch in the floor for the first aid kit but I struggle to fit the 5m cable in there and that's where the subwoofer goes for the upgraded sound systems. If the car has the cargo pack you get the false floor/split level boot which is handy for keeping the cables hidden but you lose a bit of boot space for it.

I might actually just throw the cable on top of the parcel shelf in the meantime...

Will it not flap about and rattle ? The noise would wreck my head.

A lot of other EV “parcel shelves” are so flimsy, they’d struggle to carry the weight of a box of tissues. Should be easy enough to retrofit if you do have a suitable shelf though. You might share the Skoda part number and price if you’re going about it ?

Initially I thought this was a useful idea but there is a storage compartment underneath the boot floor where the charging cable fits, that's why we have ours. Still leaves space for first aid kit, hi viz and other bits freeing up the boot entirely. The car ships with a granny charger under the boot floor, but we keep the inside of that house as it is never needed.

Who uses a parcel shelf though? All that faff - on, off, on, off again 🤦‍♂️

I picked up mine at the start of the month and loving it. Had a mad one today though, the infotainment screen started scrolling a bit like a telly with a dodgy aerial back in the day. I felt the back of it and it was really hot, the car had been parked out in the bit of sun that did come up. Pulled in for 10 minutes left the windows open and when it cooled it was back to normal. I assume it overheated that caused it.
