PEDs won’t help him much. Far too much made on him beating Haney, a feather fisted not that physically strong opponent. And Haney lost because of the KDs more than anything else

Garcia had little fear of Haney’s power. He shat himself last night and showed no bottle and no real intensity/bravery; he felt power and decided to just survive. He’s got a flashy left hook and a decent jab, and that’s it. Ostarine won’t change this.

Over-hyped over-marketed con job. It’s the world we’re in today.

Any time he faces a decent strong boxer, who can punch a little, he’s screwed!!

Scull was awful. In to survive. A runner!

Three absolute stinker fights: Haney-Ramirez, Garcia-Romero and Canelo-Scull

Canelo threw about 150 total punches in the fight. Landed about 55. Dismal effort, albeit Scull was content with running.

Scull threw way more, at almost 300 total punches thrown. Lowest ever combined thrown punches total for a12 rds fight.

Always been a “weakness” with Canelo; he doesn’t put much punches together, and struggles to really close the show and up the intensity

Woeful fight and as always with Saudi the lack of atmosphere did not help, probably not ideal they had it at 6am local time lol.

Regarding the rest of the card, pretty average stuff sadly.

Holy ****, Inoue dropped in round 2 by Cardenas. And Cardenas was doing alright before he caught him, it wasn't a lucky punch.

Three great rounds so far. Cardenas is good.

The Monster opens up in round 5 but Cardenas takes the shots well.

Cardenas survives a pummeling in round 6. Inoue has won every round except round 2 which was a 10-8.

Cardenas gets dropped at the end of the 7th but got up and survived the round. It looks like it's only a matter of time now.

It's over in round 8 . Inoue loves a brawl, he makes it very exciting.

That was good fun and obviously needed after some of the bores this weekend.

Inoue saved the weekend. Such a special fighter. Offensively incredible when in full flow. He's definitely passed his peak but still a beast. I'd think very carefully about moving to FW, Espinoza looked a beast last night and he's ridiculously big for a FW. He could probably win a belt with the right opponent but I'd rather see him fight Nakatani.

Bradley is absolutely spot on here. Heaney and Garcia care more about social media than being fighters.

any thoughts on Cacace tonight? He’s 2/5 on I think that’s very long. Have a bad feeling for him

I saw cacace at 1/25 earlier

tough to call, but I can’t get away from the belief that Wood’s chin is soft. When Conlan (who couldn’t crack an egg) has you wobbly several times, then the clearly heavier hitting Cacace is going to be very dangerous. Wood is fairly easy to tag, and also, has been inactive for quite some time.

Kurt Walker in now. I think he’s getting banjoed

It’s funny when certain fighters hold an IBO Title they’re laughed at. When others have it, a whole night is sold on a “Word Title Fight”

I fancy Anto to stop Leigh in second half of the fight.

    what channel is it on?

    It's on Dazn.

as I thought. Wood’s chin, and Anto’s punches seal the deal

Well yes, but it was the two times he hurt him to the body in the end that finished it to some degree.

Davison threw in the towel as he knew that'd open him up to be finished to the head.

good work from corner. Think ref was calling it only they kinda got tangled. Good action fight

good fight, wood was on jelly legs for a while there and the corner was bang on to stop it, not sure where he goes if anywhere from here

Impressive performance from Cacace against a game, but overmatched Wood.

Gonna be interesting to see how far Cacace can go with his late career renaissance. Frank said his next fight is a big Belfast homecoming. I find Cacace a very likeable character, 10 times more so than Conlan, Barnes etc etc. Any idea who they'll line him up for next?

Really good card shaping up in Pearse Stadium Galway at the end of next month.

Joe Ward fights former British, Commonwealth, European and IBO Super-Middleweight champion Lerrone Richards.

Kieran Molloy steps up against Kaisee Benjamin, who gave a very good account of himself in a losing British title fight vs Dalton Smith.

Shakkan Pitters vs Bradley Rea for the vacant European Light-Heavyweight title.

Sean McComb, who in his last fight outboxed Arnold Barboza, only to be on the wrong end of a very controversial split decision.

    McComb's opponent isn't named yet.

Hopefully more Irish fighters will make up the rest of the card, and if they could even put a few 50-50 fights on using some of the guys from Jay Byrne's stable it'd really set us up for an excellent night of boxing.

Wood should have made a few quid hopefully so probably should step away, a very fun fighter and seems like a top bloke but he has taken a lot of damage over the years sadly.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,102 ✭✭✭Big Ears

O'Shaquie Foster possibly makes the most sense, I think they'd get him to Belfast. To be honest it's not the strongest of divisions and I think Cacace could potentially beat any of the title holders in the division, so he has options

If they can't make a title fight next though, I imagine he'll defend his IBO vs someone like Jazza Dickens or Zelda Barrett. A UK name so they can still try and push to sell out the Oydessy.

couldn’t be more happy for him having such a period in his career. I feel the wheels will come off suddenly enough but until then he’s just right to milk it!
