8 4 Eubank, can't see any argument for Benn

7-5 Eubank but with very close rounds. Reckon we'll see a draw here.

    Draw fair result.

Great scrap in the end after the second half of the fight. Eubank no power any more and weight cut can't have helped him. Think in the second fight against Smith he was unloading so many times and couldn't get him down.

That was a cracking fight. Fight of the year so far, from an entertainment perspective. There'll be a rematch and I'm already looking forward to it.

Is it Fcuk a draw. Where are you getting 6 rounds for Benn

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 15,907 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

    Eubank Jnr 116-112 X 3

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 59,670 ✭✭✭✭walshb

Eubank better boxer.. Shame a loser, but he that bit better

Delighted, Conor Hen gets massacred at world level. Great effort from both lads but jasus they'll be killed at the higher level

    Bullshit

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,724 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

Still sets up a rematch, but Eubank pinched close rounds with sheer will to keep throwing hands

Seriously entertaining fight. Benn showed some chin fighting against someone normally two weight classes above. (May have been due to Eubank's power being drained by the weight cut)

    Very entertaining good old slugfest.

Judges could easily have scored that a draw and setup the rematch, bizarre all 3 judges scoring it by 4 rounds to Eubank.

Enjoyed that immensely. A very rare occasion where I wanted Eubank to win!

Are they still persisting with this Benn jumped up from 147 rubbish. He's a 154 fighter not a WW. And how the fcuk could he get a word title fight at 147 when he hasn't even won a European title.

Were you not saying earlier how Eubank was struggling at this weight? A weight he's fought at for the last 6 years

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,785 ✭✭✭Dick phelan

Yes what has that got to do with Benn being a 154 fighter

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,878 ✭✭✭RoryMac

Has Benn ever fought at 154?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,101 ✭✭✭Big Ears

He fought Rodolfo Orozco at 154 two fights ago.

watched the fight in company I was surprised to see such negativity about it. I thought it was a great watch! Plenty of great fights don’t show much skill but I thought the criticism was to suit a presupposed narrative. Both did tremendously well. My scoring may have been off but I had Benn or a draw. They both exceeded my expectations so fair play

I was the same, Scored it draw or benn, Eubank was doing pitter patter flurry at times near ends of the rounds hitting arms and causing no damage but looked like he was outworking benn. Draw would have been fair.
