Williams is blessed to be back at the table. Zhao should have done better getting position on that pink.

Williams may still do it as Zhao might buckle when the finishing line is in sight .Quality not great tonight though ,a lot of mistakes made tonight .

Williams was fortunate to win that frame. Very lucky the green came to his rescue at the end, snookering Zhao on the red that otherwise was on for the pot.

Williams needs to win 8 of the next 12 frames in a consistent manner to set himself up for any chance in the final session - he benefited from Zhao playing less well this evening as opposed to him playing well, but you take what you can at this stage.

A good night sleep essential- stamina and concentration needs that but especially given the age difference.

Would love to see him win but given play to date, and Zhao will certainly rest over night, I’m not sure there will be much of an evening session .

Williams is well behind the Chinese player both on the scoreboard and accuracy. He's had quite a few very good pots but his control over the cue ball has been poor! As is only normal the player well ahead will take chances with little to lose.
