So I'm new to this FH craic. First time playing with the FH. First mistake of the week already made. I've activated the FH but now realise that longer term I'll want to switch from Mateta, possibly to Cunha. But now I can't make that permanent transfer and when FH finishes I'll be back to Mateta and hes likely going to drop in value. Anyway, lesson learned and I'll know for next season.

Allison, TAA, RAN, Schar, Barnes, Salah, Semenyo, Palmer, Evanilson, Isak, Cunha is my first 11 at the minute with Flekken, Sessegnon, Mitoma and Neco Williams on the bench. Didn't spend too long looking at this so I assume I'll end up changing this before deadline.

2nd in my mini league, very similar team to the leader and looking to do something different. Half tempted to field 7/8 players and save free hit for 36/37 if there are doubles. Fixtures don’t look great this week?

You wouldn't have been able to make your Mateta > Cunha move permanent.

No matter what date/time you hit FH, ALL transfers are temporary.

I’m the same as you. I have 8 playing and just going to leave it at that and bank the transfer.
I played my FH this week and loaded up with double gameweek players and have made up zero ground so far. In fact one player in my main league hasn’t done anything for 3 months, clearly not bothered anymore, yet is still consistently getting good scores every week which is very disheartening.

I wonder would having Diaz & Szobozlai, on FH, instead of Salah be too much of a risk? Both players returned in the first fixture. Diaz 2G & Szobozlai 1G & 1A.

How many points are you chasing?

Does ML have any chips left?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,301 ✭✭✭G1032

Is Barnes likely to start for Newcastle or Murphy a safer bet?

FH here too. About 60 pts behind on the cash ML. I was leading most of the season but the wheels have fallen off a bit. Loading up on players v the 3 relegation teams plus Wood, Diaz & Salah. Problem is is that he has FH too and will probably do the same.

I couldn't imagine going without Salah. It's between Luis Diaz and Szobozlai for the 2nd Liverpool attacking spot for me

I'm not sure I want both Kluivert and Evanilson. I think my front 3 of Isak, Cunha and Evanilson is pretty locked in. So that means Kluivert needs to make way. But for who? Palmer doesn't fill me with any confidence. Don't fancy Mbeumo away to Forest. Not doubling up on Newcastle mids. Maybe Iwobi away to Southampton.

    FH templatey team.

Palmer and/or Diaz may get bumped before deadline(Kluivert?), if I do, I'll strengthen the bench.

Can't see myself swapping out the front 3.

Raul could be an interesting FH pick now. And may be doubts over the minutes for Sessegnon, who is the hot twitter FH pick. 60 mins more likely now? Will get working on a FH later now after digesting the updates.

    Fuham presser:

    Ben Dinnery on Twitter;

    🎙️ Marco Silva. #FFC

‘Muniz is going to be out for the next game, let's see after that. It's going to be hard to have him back [anytime soon].’

Smith Rowe has rejoined the group. Barring a reaction in the final session - he will return.

Harry Wilson will be involved after recovering from a foot injury.

I think both will start both who comes off first, I'm either going to pick both or none.....

Can you play your FH and save now, and then make more changes before deadline?

Interesting. I've doubled up on Liverpool mids with Salah and Diaz. I'm going for Iwobi for a wild punt although Fulham's form has been very poor lately. 4 defeats in last 5 and lost their last 3 away in the league. He's my only Fulham pick. Huge love for Palmer too but he's stung me badly this season so gonna avoid

I don't like the way it works. You're penalised wrt price changes during the week. Imagine playing the FH and then the following week being 0.1 away from a transfer target who increased 0.2 during your FH week. It's not really fair imo

Currently looking at this on FH.

Debating whether to switch out Cunha for Evanilson and then maybe upgrade Kluivert to a better MID?

RAN is really trying to get into my team also.

I'm going with Murphy, Ipswich will be weak down the right hand side with Davis suspension.

My exact thinking and with only 8 Players hopefully it works.

Looks a bit sparse past the defence….now I have posted it !!

But that's just how we play😟

For a FH, why is everyone putting good players as their four substitute picks. I get that having one good player as a first sub is a good idea but the chances of more than one player from your starting eleven not featuring is very slim. For that reason when I pick my FH team I usually have a good player as my first sub and then pick the cheapest players for the three remaining players, therefore maximising the funds available for picking the starting eleven. Am I doing it all wrong?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,601 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

    Most expensive ≠ the best.

EG is Palmer a better pick than Murphy this week?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,001 ✭✭✭✭28064212

Because most of the premiums either don't have a game or aren't performing. A team of:

    Becker
    TAA, Cucu, Trippier
    Salah, Palmer, Mbuemo, Fernandes
    Isak, Cunha, Wood

Is basically as expensive as you can possibly get this week. That's only ~2.5m over budget and still allows you to have Murphy and Sessegnon on the bench. Palmer and Fernandes are almost certainly not going to be worth the price, so it's very easy to have 15 "meta" players this week

Talk that a deal is done with Cunha to Man U.

    It seemingly jeopardises his gametime.

Of course I used my only FT to bring him in yesterday.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,376 ✭✭✭✭shmeee

Because funds are not a issue on a FH this GW as majority of players people are targeting are from Fulham, Wolves & Newcastle. Them teams don't have expensive assets. Even if they be hard to go over budget this GW.

This is where I'm at with 2.5 ITB still, so doesn't matter who I've on my bench. It's irrelevant this GW as many 1 sub is all that could be needed.

No Newcastle Mids as of 7am Saturday, that could change. I'm loving the double Newcastle defence.

I'm same with Kluivert, but it's just my mind feels like he should be a more expensive asset due to the amount of funds spare. Who's a better Mid is the thing outside of Newcastle Mids, Liverpool Mids and the odd gamble (Palmer, Mbeumo, Bowen), not many other places to go.

Think I'm gonna gamble with Bruno. I think he will start and has a high ceiling.
