I'm currently playing Snake Pass and started Bully too. Both good games but in completely different ways. I do not like the time limit in Bully seems like it goes against you and I only completely one day so far.

Was supposed to post this earlier. If anyone is looking for a 1TB micro express card for their switch 2, dont worry, they got released and sold out within seconds so you won't be getting one.

I am almost finished playing GTA III. I mostly enjoyed playing it, but fcuk me some of the missions were painful.

What a gamechanger GTA3 was when it dropped holy moley.

Driving around in the blue and white banshee with pulse fm on.

To go from the Birdseye view of GTA and GTA2 it blew my little teenage socks off me.

Just a word of warning if anyone is thinking of getting Metal Wolf Chaos on the PC.

    Don't.

Broke my heart last night. I got to stage two and was really enjoying it but the game has a memory leak that causes the game to crash in a level after a set amount of time. Tried everything that was suggested online but it's still an issue and the devs have abandoned the game.

Few bosses into this and starting to grow on me. I was really lost with the alternative realm that is required to pass through different areas. It’s a really really easy game though and they hand out ‘souls’ in huge quantity so I feel like my character is getting over levelled fast

Bully is a great game. I did the platinum for it this year. Can't believe they haven't even done a basic remaster.

Just saw the latest trailer for Doom Dark Ages. Flipping hell, there's more story in it than there was in the entire 2016 game! I just don't think that's what fans want from a Doom game.

I started another run of Doom Eternal there this morning in anticipation for Dark Ages. If there's any franchise where you can skip the story (if you are that way inclined) and still have a blast playing, this is it.

Just finished South of Midnight. It looks nice, it sounds nice. It plays eh... meh.

I put it on very easy about halfway through because I could not be arsed doing a boss fight more than once and I just left it there for the rest of the game. The combat is the same thing about 100 times, beyond repetitive.

I roleplayed doom eternal as the doom slayer by ignoring all the story. Even then it was annoying when you got stuck in a cutscene.

Im in a weird rotation of games right now, i'm currently flipping between Stellaris, Enter the Gungeon and iRacing. Each scratching a certain itch.

Gonna grab Tempest Rising at the weekend. That'll kill a few weeks

Oooohh i don't know about this one. Other Worlds 2 will watch how you play and give you bonus/penalty based on your playstyle. Example, if you are skipping through dialogue, the game will give foot in mouth bonus of extra xp but will apply a 15 second timer to conversations you can't skip and then randomly pick an option for you.

If I'm a fast reader and want to skip some dialogue lines, i shouldn't be made look at more of them as a punishment. Cool mechanic but this could really hurt a game for me.

Yeah I don't know about that. I appreciate voice acting and performance, but there can definitely be times in a game where I'll just speedread the subtitles to get through something quicker because it's mostly just exposition or world-building and so the performance isn't that deep to sit through. Feels like a weird thing to punish players for as it doesn't actually affect anything.

Although from listening to that clip, it seems like it's an optional thing. If the game notices you doing something like that it'll offer you a buff, but it also comes with a penalty, so maybe it's not that bad.

I have so many new games downloaded and waiting for me to start. Ones that I've paid full price for, highly recommended/received, been interested in for ages.

So obviously I'm replaying some of the Devil May Cry games.

The flaws were definitely optional in the first game so hopefully they still are.

Clair Obscur reviewing extremely well. Battle system sounds amazing, can’t wait to jump in!

Finished Devil May Cry 3. Forgot how much I hated the Lady boss fight, and the camera is a pain in a lot of areas, but damn that's a great game when you're in a proper flow. The Vergil boss fights are still the absolute highlights, he's a total beast in the final fight.

Was going to jump straight into DMC4 but with the reviews and praise for Clair Thingy 33 or whatever it's called, have bought and downloaded it so might go for it instead.

Started playing Battle Brothers. Deceptively deep, complex, and brilliant fun

Clair Obscura does sound like a good proper homage to PS1 RPGs. Seems to have the right run time as.

So after my fight with Metal Wolf Chaos on PC I had to bite the bullet and get it on PS4. I was expecting a puff of dust from the system when I turned in on, like I'd opened an ancient pharaohs tomb.

When I played a bit of this back in the day it was a hilarious satire of Bush era American politics. Playing 47th American president in a mech suit liberating America from the vice presidents coup d'etat by leaving America a soldering wreck in his wake hits differently than it did on the original Xbox. The vice president even looks and acts like that smarmy c*nt JD Vance.

So I sold my soul to the devil and bought Gatou: The City of Wolves.

It's such a a pity it's all caught up in with the controversy over SNKs Saudi ownership because, from my short time with it, it's genuinely a contender for the best fighting game of the last few years.

They've applied the accessibility of the last Samurai Shodown game here. There's no more SNK pretzel inputs. Everything is simple street fighter inputs and all supers and other moves have universal inputs between all fighters so there's very little to learning between fighters.

There's still a lot of depth here in the myriad of defensive options. There's a few advanced defensive moves to learn but the game still manages to be very much about rush downs.

The game also has a robust single player mode, not quite to the level of mortal Kombat but it's not far off.

Just saw that the developers are going to buff the bosses in Lords of the Fallen 2.0. I’ve bullied them all. I’m near the end of it now so won’t go back after the patch

    GTA IV is seventeen today.

I love the neon lights in Vice City.

Looks Borderlandsy. In a way they've hampered themselves with their art style because aside from fairly small levels of detail and UI changes, Borderlands just looks like Borderlands. They've said they've toned down the wacky meme-reliant humour, and have made legendaries rarer and more special. Also making it easier to farm bosses and areas by resetting them rather than having to constantly save, exit and reload. Pretty much the things I was hoping for.

My main concern is they seem to be introducing additional types of gear slots, which will no doubt make it harder to sort through loot (both when picking it up and in terms of inventory management & space). No doubt there'll also be cosmetics for the new robot thing which will dilute the loot pool further.

So yeah, seems relatively okay. Need to see more of the new Vault Hunter abilities though.

But it'll probably be old enough to play GTA VI by the time it comes out. 😀
