Would anyone know how many applicants are looked at for shortlisting each time?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21 LinWhi

well based on the 770 they’ve done it looks like 385 per batch or there abouts

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 267 ✭✭Menelaun

when the panel ends, is it straight into another HEO panel or is there a cooling off period?

Didn’t get past the test portion this year by very few marks

Why don't they extend it as it was originally delayed by 6 months due to the last panel ending ?

it could well be extended, who knows. I won’t be called till batch 4 if the panel lasts that long so it’s just a waiting game. Plenty in batch 2 interviewed and on the move already so shouldn’t be too long till they move to batch 3

Who knows, they could extend but we won’t know that till nearer the time.

Sorry, I done my interview and passed, in top 10 OOM for dublin. I think I should be called? Does anyone know if il be able to stay in my dept, if not what departments are people being assigned to ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21 LinWhi

I know people higher than that oom and have their spots and leaving in the next couple of weeks. Maybe it’s a HR issue with references etc that’s delaying it for you. I’d probably enquire with PAS if I were you as to the delay.

Hi all, would anyone know which email address to write to in relation to placements? Would it be still largevolumerecruitment5 or clearance? Thanks

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17 nugg13

I'd say clearance. They respond quite quickly.

I think the panels usually expire before they reach the very end. It gives the existence length of the panels in the initial recruiting campaigns, not sure what happens if a panel runs out of potentials before its expiration date.

You should flag it with both local HR and PAS - they are usually good about letting you stay but depends on the business needs (and I'm sure other backroom haggling over how many from different recruitment streams). Flagging it as early as possible should help your chances.

They will try and tease as many questions out of you as possible but it's not a simple "okay here's this one question for this sub-capability, now move onto another". The point of the capability framework seems to be to given the interviewers more leeway in how they ask you questions, how you answer them, and how the conversation flows. I was asked for examples not relating to my application form, so my advice would not be to know your form back to front, but to know what the key indicators they're looking for (the key words at the bottom of each capability) and to keep those in mind for your answers.

Practice interviews are definitely worth doing if you can find someone to do them with you and give you critical feedback.

Hi, I recently interviewed (Feb 2025) for an ICT HEO role in the external competition and thankfully received my position on the OOM. Wondering if anyone else is in the same boat or has been called, or alternatively, if you know where I could find more information on the OOM

Has anyone from Batch 2 Dublin been placed yet? I got top 10 oom and am wondering when I should hope to hear something about my placement. Thanks!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 97 ✭✭Aabbccdd

People further down the OOM than that are already after been given their appointment. Something wrong there, did you miss the email where they ask you to confirm you want to be considered for a position?

    Thanks for the response!

Has anyone any indication as to what dept the expression of interest for Celbridge is for? Assuming it's for Agriculture or FSI.

Just got an email there stating I'd been shortlisted. OOM 110s. I was about 1100 prior to this.

Would people think ill get an interview based on that?

    I'd appreciate any insight
