I’m in a big Dept too and they have loads of HEO vacancies so I was hoping they could put me in one of those but judging by the info you got that’s unlikely to happen. I just want to know where I’m going now 😂

Yeah apparently anyone that my HR tagged so far to stay in the department, none of them have been able to stay…

Does anyone know is there any department that requires you to be in the office 4/5 days a week?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 97 ✭✭Aabbccdd

oh goodness! Really wanted to stay in my department too 🙁

I can’t imagine any standard posts like this being on site 5 days a week. These posts should have blended working I think, maybe justice might be 4/5 days a week or social welfare?

Per the above, it appears as though clearance has commenced for those whom successfully navigated final interview in batch 2.1. Does that mean anyone in batches 1+ have been assigned to a post & can it be assumed that once called for clearance, there is a post available for you pending completion of the clearance process? Or are there still candidates from batch 1 awaiting assignment? If I recollect correctly, information pertaining to the competition & each stage was issued early in the play would indicate that candidates would be called forward based on the number of vacancies available.

As far as I am aware Foreign Affairs (Passport offices) are office based, no remote working option. Some departments are requiring new staff to work in the office full time for the first 2-3 months but majority of departments have remote working options.

Got assigned my dept this afternoon. No location yet or any other details. I'll be contacted by the Dept's HR for further info

    Hopefully will hear soon too!

    yeah, I’m happy so far!

got a call from HR so I’m still city centre location and generally 2 days in the office (work dependent)

It’s funny, I never even thought of this Dept when going through all the possibilities so was a bit shocked too

I got a message on Public Jobs at 1.30 this afternoon so I’m sure more people will be getting assignment notices soon.

Was your OOM after interview high up in the list after the interview? Just trying to gauge when I should expect my assignment notice

I haven’t got a start date yet. They have to agree a release date with my current Dept and then they’ll confirm a date with me. It’ll be after Easter at this rate.

Can anyone who has sat the interview tell me, do they look for the two sub capabilities, for example, building future readiness with examples for Digitalfocus, innovation & upskilling for the future and Strategic awarness & change, or are you asked questions on the sub elements of them, such as, committed to building knowledge and skills for the future.Any advice would be much appreciated.

Hi There Can anyone on here who is either Cork or Limerick who has been called for interview let us know what No they were after tests and what number they are after interview? Very hard to gauge where they are at for areas outside Dublin? Much obliged.

Hi all - I’m in the mid 1200’s on Stage 1 - starting to panic that the panel will expire before I even get to hear if I’ve been shortlisted. Rang PAS today and they advised that they’re coming to the end of batch 2 and moving on to batch 3 and I should hear by mid April if I’ve been selected for shortlisting.. Anyone else hear anything similar?

I don't think they've even started interview for batch 3 of who passed shortlisting, if you're 1200 at stage 1 it could be a long wait. I was mid 400's at stage 1 and mid 100's after shortlisting (placed in batch 3) and almost given hope of getting placed this competition

Thanks - I meant the batch 3 of stage 2 (shortlisting stage) not batch 3 of interviews

how long after sending back your form did they contact your HR? I sent my form Wednesday and still waiting for a notification on public jobs🤔

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7 cmc24

Same, delayed appear to be caused as PAS awaiting references form current employers.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 97 ✭✭Aabbccdd

yep… was told they were contacting my department for a reference on Wednesday morning, still no official assignment notice thought they forgot about me🤣

So is there anyone left in batch 2 to be called for interview or are they on to batch 3 now?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 317 ✭✭natc

I returned my declaration form on Tuesday morning. Not sure when they contacted my HR but they must have responded pretty quickly.

I wonder if my assignment was part of the group all going to the same dept or not. Maybe I’m not part of the batch

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 77 ✭✭aislingm999

Yeah I sent my form back on Tuesday aswel and on Wednesday morning they contacted my HR, but still waiting on an assignment notice from public jobs

Hi do PAS send a separate email to say you have been shortlisted and another for interview? I have only received one email that I passed the tests, I would be in Batch 3 ? Thanks 🙂
