Quick question folks if anyone knows. If you buy a Championship game, but then transfer it to someone else via the ticketmaster account, does it still count as a game attended for Final Ticket purposes?

I think it should as you've paid for it, can't see it being a problem.

Cheers. Yeah my daughter wants to go to one of the games I can't make and I thought that's easy enough to transfer to her. But then I wondered if that came off my game attended list.

Piece on the Echo website re Munster Hurling Championship tickets "the tickets, which went on sale at approximately 12pm, sold like “hot cakes” according to communications manager for the Munster GAA, Ed Donnelly, who also said there was an additional 30,000 season tickets sold since Tuesday".

Crossed wires here I guess - don't think between the five counties there would be 30,000 season tickets?

Think they mean in total across Munster each season ticket holder can purchase 4 games and approx max 3,500 per county.

I can’t remember but does provincial games count towards getting your final ticket if county gets there? It use to back in tickets.ie days but not sure anymore

Can you transfer a ticket purchased on the season ticket?

    Problem solved.

Any season ticket holders here with the club game option? My first year doing it and I am wondering how does it work? Do you receive a physical card to enable entry to any club game. And when are they issued.

Yes. Received physical card from county board. Probably depends on your county when you get it but I haven't received it yet for this year. Can't remember when I got it in previous years

anyone tell me if there’s any way to change your tickets as a season ticket holder without losing out on the status? Not for me, don’t do season tickets anymore ! But an uncle wanted to add a guest to theirs and couldn’t with new changes, so just had to go with allocated seating, no other options… his nephew had a ticket in other section that uncle could have booked but he couldn’t due to season ticket restrictions I’m always put in the middle being asked to clarify!!

The bring a friend option is not really available any more, if there are free seats in croke park it shows it on the Ticketmaster app

So if say there was 4 seats in section 303 you could just transfer over there from maybe 304 where 3 people were sitting together

I have it done in all Ireland hurling semis in the past, but given the demand on Sunday that won't be available

You could try and move seats after you’ve got them all. So exchange them. Found it stupid assigned seating in Croke park with 20000 at it. Just make it unassigned

Got it last week, thanks for the reply. Hopefully the club championship will be as exciting as the inter county.

They have no record of attendance, only of purchase. In any there will be attendance, they'll not observe the appearance of the person going through the styles.

Can you buy the group stage package to count for season ticket attendance? I know it was available last year but got caught out buying them separately.

The option isn't available when you log into your season ticket, do you just log into Ticketmaster and buy with the same account?

*Scratch that! See an email now with instructions.

At this point some counties have 3 match packages and some do not. Oddly, you can buy these for Dublin, but not for Armagh, Tyrone or Derry in the same group, and the fixtures have not been finalised yet.

Amyone able to download their tickets yet.

Purchased 3 of the 3 match packages last week and still not able to download them

See my seats for Dublin vs Armagh. 303 row tt. I thought I’d get better for buying them very early. No option to exchange them either

no the season tickets have gone to shite the last few years especially where two counties have high numbers of season ticket holders i got section 302 for the all ireland final last year before luckily switching for upper hogan tickets

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,130 ✭✭✭Trampas

I managed to exchange mine into 305 after trying for a few days

What's the deadline for buying them? Wondering as I presume that when remaining tickets will be released - looking for stand tickets for the Mayo Donegal game

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,130 ✭✭✭Trampas

    Dublin was 11th I think.

Got my 3 stands tickets. Was expecting I’d just get terrace

It's usually 10am the weds before the game.

I'd expect there will be plenty of stand tickets to go on sale but I'd also expect big demand for them. You'll probably have a window of a few hours to get them.Best of luck with it.

Hi, a friend said he'd gove me 3 Season tickets for Sunday's match but he just whtasappd me screenshots of them, i preusme this is uselss and he needs to transfer them to me digitally? I dont have a ticketmaster account

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,358 ✭✭✭HBC08

Yes that's fine,no need to transfer digitally.

Only time its a problem is if its a "moving barcode "

This is not the case for Sunday and I've never seen it for a game outside Croke Park.

Your WhatsApped bar code will work.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,983 ✭✭✭Coillte_Bhoy

Whats a 'movng barcode'? The screenshots he sent are QR codes

A moving barcode (or QR code) is what ticketmater sometimes use so that a ticket can't simply be emailed or WhatsApped for use.

It's not something you need to worry about for the Mayo game on Sunday, what you have will be fine.

I have a few seaon tickets and have been WhatsApping them to friends all year.
