    Hi,

Looking for info on the gym in Westmanstown. Is it worth it €99 pm?

I am Interested in joining for several reasons (kids swimming, extensive strength training equipment, yoga classes etc)

I am prepared to pay the monthly rate if it has everything I need and since it's a bit out of the way, is it less busy? I am tired of super busy gyms.

Also one more question, I want to avoid the joining fee, any tips on getting through the sales pitch malarkey

    Advice appreciated 👍

Hi. I’ve been a member for many years now. I’ve been a huge champion of the place with Fitzone for the kids and the Swimming lessons are excellent. I’ve never really done any of the classes so cannot comment. If you’re using the gym off peak then it’s absolutely grand but I’ve found it’s getting busier later into the evening, 8.30 this evening was still very busy. From 9pm onwards it does seem to get much quieter and is open until 11 (gym and pool closes at 10.30). With the price increase and not really using the pool or kids facilities any more I may begin to look elsewhere as I don’t think I can justify €99. In fact I came on boards specifically to ask in the Dublin 15 forum about recommendations for gyms in the area!!

Hi Blazingsaddler, thanks so much for the reply. It sounds like Westwood would appeal to me at the moment with kids pool etc,.

Did you have to pay the extortionate joining fee? That really puts me off joining.

No problem! Definitely never paid a joining fee, would certainly play hard ball over that, their prices are high enough without a joining fee as well! I pay monthly but maybe there is a discount for paying a year up front?
