Mark - I’ve been there and had them delayed.

You can submit a request but in my case they took about 5 weeks to credit. There’s speculation on Flyertalk about BA only processing credits monthly, but the official line is 6 - 10 weeks, most likely to allowing time for them forget to do it until the following month.

When they did credit it was against the date flown so shouldn’t be an issue for status.

Big fan of the YT channel btw!

thank you for that, appreciate it!

Did you submit via BA or AerClub?

I see the "plus" fare also has the "Standby for earlier flight" benefit. I thought this was advantage/aer space only or am I incorrect? Thanks

You were misinformed by the Aer Lingus person earlier (they seem to make stuff up a lot of the time). If you want to credit your Avios and Tier Credits to Aer Club then contacting BA won't help. You should go here: https://www.aerlingusaerclub.com/

I can not seem to get logged in no matter what I type in.

I’m in exactly the same position. Anything that used to work for me (like private browsing) doesn’t anymore. I haven’t been able to transfer Avios for at least 4 months now. I’ve logged a complaint with BA, but haven’t heard anything.

    Hi,

I booked flights to NYC last month with American Airlines.

The outbound was Aer Lingus and the return was BA.

Can i collect avios on these flights?

Working now for me. After weeks of pain.

Used my long AerClub number as "username" and my usual password.

Sitting on 295 Tier Credits and waiting for them to credit three American Airlines legs from early February.
Submitted claim forms for them both as "BA" flights and "AA" flights as it was a codeshare between them, but I used my AerClub number on them and it was printed on the boarding pass.

I rang CS and they said because the deadline for Tier membership is 1 April so they're bombarded with requests. Christ these airlines must have some archaic systems.

In other news, I was able to get a Barclays Avios Credit Card for the UK (Sterling), no annual fee and you get 1 Avios per £1 spent. More details here for anyone who might be eligible.
You can transfer the Avios then to AerClub (when the dodgy portal works).

just noticed this message today - went into settings and made the change. IT WORKED! After months of not being able to combine I’m able to move my Avios around again. And just in time for a booking I want to make on Iberia which has lower taxes than BA.

They'll do a credit check against you yes, to validate UK address etc. The online application was easy enough and no need to upload ID or anything like that.

Thats sketchy from BA, XSS is a security feature to protect you. I looks like it trying to load a different site inside the page and the security features of the browser are unhappy

Is the Aer Lingus app (android) borked for anyone else the last 24 hours?

I booked some work travel yesterday for later in the week and can't add the trip to the app in the usual way, also can't see the trip under "My Trips" on the website. Getting "Incorrect Server Response" when I look at other upcoming trips.

Still not working for me on chrome, anyone found a similar work around for non apple devices?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,189 ✭✭✭✭Stark

Seeing similar issues. I'm checked in for outbound and inbound legs of a return flight but can only load the boarding pass for the outbound leg. Get incorrect server response trying to load in the inbound leg. The website also shows a weird "check-in is unavailable" message for the inbound leg despite being already checked in so could be a server issue rather than an app issue.

Have paper copies of the boarding passes just in case. Can't be trusting that app.

I managed to add a booking for next week just now but always keep a paper boarding pass just in case

It doesn’t look as cool as the cool kids but better to have it 😂

while I’m here I’ve a connection to an 11 hr long haul in MAD ,1st leg on EI

The LH is in business class on Iberia, will EI charge me to bring my little samsonite back pack on board?

There’s no way I’m going that distance without my normal carry on

It’s going to have the iPad in it,a change of clothes a book ,headphones etc and shoes socks etc

I try to keep it light

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,189 ✭✭✭✭Stark

If it fits under the seat in front of you, then there'll never be a problem with bringing it on board (silly liquid restrictions aside). In fact it's mandatory to bring anything that has a lithium battery on board with you as they don't want the risk of it going on fire in the hold.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,379 ✭✭✭goingnowhere

If its all one ticket you can carry a 10kg carry on and under seat item regardless of class of travel

    Policy is very clear

Hi, does anyone have an email address that I can contact someone re, missing avios points. I did the missing claim form a few times as instructed by someone on an online chat I did but I’ve never heard back. I’m missing avios points from a return flight I look in September ‘24 as well as points I should have earned from the Jet Blue leg of a flight I took in the states in November. Thanks

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,379 ✭✭✭goingnowhere

    You don't earn on Jetblue…

Up to Silver now on AerClub until March 2026, happy days.

For the "partner" lounges, do you need an Aer Lingus boarding pass to get in? Or would they allow any OneWorld boarding pass as long as using AerClub membership etc? Thinking more about the lounges in North America & Europe like Seattle, LAX, etc and UK ones like Birmingham?

I'm flying in and out of Birmingham in a few weeks but it's sadly Rynair for the flight back to Ireland.
