Enough chances to win that game tonight

I'm not awfully bothered for once and even for Sunday

Reset and enjoy the run, in these seasons don't come often enough so I'm gonna enjoy the league ...for me it's number 1 and only

Obnoxious and constant mouthing during Van Dijk's post match interview.

Konate was just tired, obviously Trent is going to miss Sunday

Could be TAAs last game for Liverpool if it's serious enough injury and he's out for the rest of the season.

Zero confidence in Darwin taking a pen tbh.

Not even sure if he did tbh or was it out of some sense of obligation.

I'm disappointed no one else was there to step up

We can't really complain over two legs.

I'll feel better tomorrow. The league was number 1 and we have it.

Psg deserved that, much better team in both legs,if you can't score 2 goal at home in 120min then you deserve nothing.

As soon as macca and slobs went off it was game over

    I knew 100% nunez wasn't gonna score

Hopefully he won't be around next season and I dont think he will be.

Slots subs did nothing tonight either.

On a side note has allison ever saved a penalty?brilliant keeper obviously but has a terrible penalty saving record

Slot said Trent “would be surprised “ if Trent makes Sunday”. Where are you getting he’s out the for season from or it even being a possibly ?

Subs were poor tonight. Honestly thought Quansah did the best out of all of them. Gakpo must not be right as he was very poor after he came on and barely moved.

I'm not too pissed off. We were beaten by a better team over the two legs. I thought PSG would hammer us again tonight, but we gave it a good shot and with a bit of luck we could have won that. Winning the league is the ultimate for me and it looks like we will do that.
Changes need during the summer. Nunez, Jota and possibly Diaz should be shown the door. Diaz has a great work ethic but the end product is lacking. New left back and a backup for Virgil required. A top notch centre mid I feel is needed too. One with creativity. Not sure we'll get 6 new players though.
And get the fcuking contracts sorted!!!!

What they should do is let first place choose their next opponent from the list of qualifiers. Then second place chooses, and so on. Would add a bit of needle as well and some drama

The way his ankle twisted around under the full weight of his body. It didn't look good.

    FA Cup final

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 672 ✭✭✭poppers

yet if Liverpool were drawn in other half of the draw instead of Barca then you'd be saying thats the reward for finishing top.

Its not Ufeas Fault PSG were poor in the first few games. They were on the way out only for city to fall apart after going 2 up.

really not sure what the deal is with chiesa. Surely he could have helped more than Gakpo? Slot just has his favourites I guess.

Chiesa has a decent shot on him and isn’t a bad player by any means

we were unlucky with champions league draw but we are soon kings of England but not good enough in Europe . Get the job done now Sunday want them two trophies season end .

When PSG scored I was ''ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!'' but then they showed the replay and I was like '' pheeeeeeeeeeew offside''

But it was given, looked so off to me, and so I waited for the confirmation to be shown, usually shown a minute later, and still I wait, hours later.

    Don't get that call.

I think the lack of goals from the central forward is down to the personnel. Jota, Nunez and Diaz have all under performed in the position and at the same time the team is setup to get the ball to Salah to score goals.

In contrast, at Feyenoord last season Gimenez scored 26 goals in 41 appearances as the central forward. The wide players each scored 11-12 goals and the main midfield trio each contributed 6-8 goals.

Our reliance on Salah is a problem.

Was actually impressed with Quansah when he came on, very unlucky his header off the post went parallel almost to the goal line, another inch to the right and it would have went in, the fine lines,

I’d agree on Gakpo, clearly wasn’t fit enough and another damning inditement on Chiesa that he still never got on ahead of him.

Still don't know how Alisson didn't save that first penalty

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,663 ✭✭✭decies

still laugh when I see the calling out of Salah around the internet if we don’t win , the guy almost single handly with goals and assists dragged us to a 20th title and when he doesn’t get it done in a game ah but it’s Salah this and Salah that . There’s plenty of other ones not getting it done it there . Give him that 3 year contract and get on with announcing it . We have a cup final to win Sunday time to rest up and go again and all of them contribute to win again .

I don't know know where you see that but I haven't,I doubt it's Liverpool supporters, more likely others.

No problem at all with them celebrating. A huge night for them and I think the lack of celebration (from returning players) and forced restraint on players/teams when it comes to celebrating is ridiculous.

Personally I'm fine with being knocked out today. Having the league to look forward to is the perfect antidote.

For me, Jota was the worst player on the pitch over the two legs but it hardly matters now. Himself and Nunez will be gone this summer.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,655 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

The biggest takeaways for me are the state of our forward options bar Salah and Gakpo (he wasn't fit last night).

And then the lack of cover at elite level for Grav, Szobo and Alexis. Jones just isn't it when the press is like that.

    Plenty to address.

Celebrating as they went into their changing rooms. Did you expect them to quietly walk in whispering. Grow up will you. Some people just shouldn't follow sport.

100%. Terrible penalty and should have been saved.

    Real sliding doors moment.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,663 ✭✭✭decies

I see enough of it to know it’s not the odd one and yes they are Liverpool supporters .

Jones caught in possession 2 or 3 times after he came. It handed them back momentum in extra time and they carried that into the penalties.
