I sometimes think the wall vent acts like an ear trumpet to bring those sounds closer, more than an open window would.

I got stuck in traffic for Howth, was bumper to bumper back to Raheny… I wasn't even trying to get to Howth! Was relieved when finally crawled to my destination and could leave the queued traffic.

A sunny day, what do you expect.....you actually are quicker walking (I've done it) with the same car overtaking, getting stuck, overtaking, getting stuck .....

I thought maybe bad from Kilbarrack cemetery, in March not back to where Howth Road meets James Larkin Road!

If I'd been trying to get to Howth I'd have gotten the Dart or gone in morning in the car.

No, I used to be a member of Westwood in clontarf and on sunny Sundays I'd walk home (not as far as Howth 😂 but a decent distance) as traffic would already be backed up at Fairview/clontarf at 11:30 am.

The coast road is a nice walk so wasn't a hardship ....prefer to be walking than stopping and starting never getting above 2nd gear in the car.

You're best to use an online download site where you can convert the link to an mp4. Then play that on your TV on a USB or mass storage device. No ads.

We are concerned for my aunt, she may be starting something neurodegenerative.

We’d put memory deficits that started to occur, down to her age. However her old boss died. By coincidence I know the man well from our local pub & having gone to school with his son. Sharing news of his death she tells me she never heard of him. Despite us before having numerous conversations about him, her asking how he & family were by name and recalling their stories working together, she now has no recollection of him.

Nevermind a doctors waiting room or the period between the dinosaurs going extinct and present day.

Time doesn't go slower than your couple of days off work before going on holidays. I just want to be on the way to the airport NOW (flight not till Wednesday morning).

And of course the holiday itself flies by.

March weather. Today's highs were 13-17c. Tomorrow down to 5-8c. With a North easterly wind it'll be raw out.

    March many weathers😐

local German supermarket. Buying a few incidentals… It’s rush hour at 7.10pm….yet, only 1 till is manned. Of course the person ahead of me has about €250 euros worth of stuff, they apologise politely for not seeing me and allowing me to go ahead. There is zero need and it’s nice of them but the management. It’s one of their bigger & busiest shops, at a shopping center and at a time when most people have finished work…. So….✊🏻🤦🏻‍♂️👎🏼🤌🏻🤪🥊..

next time they might have all the lights off to save another few quid and have us shopping by torchlight…pricks.

I took part in a fundraiser for a sister company, it was a physical challenge for ppl over a specific age. It was meant to raise awareness of how nb it is to exercise specific muscle groups as time goes on.

The final count for the stork and stork-like challenges came back worse than when I was following my own programme. I got a concerned email from Occuphysio about this, demanding I come in for a check-up (in London!).

As part of this fundraiser, I had to fill in a health form and I made a point of saying that I'm dyspraxic(which can impact balance) at the end because I was in a period of high anxiety I asked if I could postpone the final check as i knew this would impact the count.

NOW they are concerned that the symptoms of both issues are showing themselves and want to waste my time and money to prove these issues! Google is your friend Nasta from Occuphysio!

Ive had this in my family as well, the easiest thing is to meet them where they are, so if she says she never met them(words like never are a sign) just let it go and listen. If she remembers let her lead the questions.

Otherwise it's even more heart-breaking for your family and for her. Have you had a look at Alzheimer's Ireland website?, even if it's not altz, it will help you communicate and cut down on the distress for both parties.

Ta but not a ta, dementia in all its forms

I saw a video of an early to mid 20 year old girl in America who had just come out of a job interview. She was dressed like she was vegging out on the sofa on a Sunday. Unwashed hair, bobbly leggings and an oversized hoodie that was covered in suspicious looking stains, as one comment put it!
