    Racism. That's all it is and that's all it has ever been. They've engineered a situation where only the wealthiest people and those with means can have children. This makes it more necessary than ever to have high levels of immigration but now they can't bear seeing brown people. Musk's a pro-apartheid South African. I'm not remotely surprised that he's this obsessed with it.

    I would say they are very close to planning camps segregated from the rest of the local area for latin American migrant workers in the likes of agriculture, a la Dubai for south asian migrants.

    I've no kids and no plans to have them either. Nothing to do with money, I just don't want them and my partner is the same. We have a nice life as we are and bringing children into that mix just wouldn't be for us. There is a life outside of the traditional model of family with kids and a lot of us are starting to see that is where we want to put our energy and time. There is nothing a government could do that will make me think having children is worth my while.

    It’s one thing to say that immigration is necessary due to low birth rates. But going back to the original post, irelands immigrations rate is way higher than that, leading to an explosion in population, relative to the mostly stable population of the 20th century.
