Great to see the Israelies refusing to let Boylan in.

The problem is that they refuse to let anyone who criticises their genocide in. They didn't like witnesses. Just look at all the Press they murdered.

Not attending an event they weren’t invited to? The media in the USA paid no attention to their statement about the White House visit, and supporters of Israel would ignore anything they say about Israel too. I grew up surrounded by SF voters, party members, and canvassers, and I think they’ve become a laughingstock outside of Northern Ireland. They live in their own little world. Probably thought that the Irish community in the US, the source of a lot of their funding historically, would come out in support of them.

She has some nerve trying to enter Israel, given her unwavering support for Palestine.

A German inviting a Genocider to his country?? How fitting. You couldn't make it up.

I just thought I'd share a link to this video I watched during COVID. The speech was made eight years ago, yet it is even more relevant today than it was back then. In many ways, it has proven to be remarkably prophetic. People in Ireland, Europe, and the Western world should listen and reflect on the points he makes about why anti-Semites are convinced they are not antisemitic.

Am Yisrael Chai - Bring them home.

reminds me of that incident last week where the Jewish bloke shot those two Palestinian blokes in the US - except they weren't Palestinians. They were Jews. And one of the two had posted up "Death to the Arabs!" on social media.

Remember when the UN offered to carry out a full independent investigation of Sexual Violence on Oct 7th? But the Israelis refused because the UN said they also wanted to investigate allegations of Sexual Violence against Palestinians in captivity? Like the bloke who was anally raped with an iron bar by the IDF.

And remember when Netanyahu told the Israeli people, 80% of whom wanted an investigation into Oct 7th, and then refused them?

Oh, and the other day when they oddly put a gag order on any reporting of the "bus bombs" near Tel Aviv after arresting two Israelis?

Yes - they hate witnesses that would expose the truth…

The cheek of someone supporting Palestine? Shocking, isn't it.

What's more shocking is they actually gave her permission to enter some time previously then when she did, they threw her out.

    • meanwhile aside from the posturing and the arguing, today is very cold and wet day in Gaza. Children, mostly newborns are dying from hypothermia because they have no dry homes. Meanwhile at the border there a lines of temporary homes and aid supplies - the movement of which is being blocked by the Israel/ USA axis. All part of American greatness?

Indeed - 6 newborns dead in a week.

Funny what people get selectively outraged about isn't it?

    RTE:

At least six newborn babies have died in Gaza due to severe cold, according to Dr Saeed Saleh, a health official at the Patient's Friends Benevolent Society Hospital (PFBS) in the enclave, in a recorded video on Tuesday.

Dr Saleh said that in the past two weeks, eight newborns were admitted with severe cold-related injuries, six of whom later died.

Seem that even Israelis are accused of being Hamas supporters…

"Israel's governing coalition has demonized the people who have been fighting for the hostages.

Last summer, Likud MK Nissim Vaturi called people calling for elections, a cease-fire and a hostage release deal 'an arm of Hamas.'

In September, Israeli police arrested a man who threatened Einav Zangauker, tireless campaigner for the return of her son Matan, and said that he would attack her at the next rally in support of a hostage deal.

"Only military pressure" has become a slogan for those who believe the only way to help the hostages is by leveling the cities where they're being held…

As more hostages come home and join the struggle to free their brothers and sisters, will they too be told that they're hurting their cause?" – Linda Dayan

    Honesty at its best.

    Haaretz:
At the Institute for National Security Studies' annual conference, Yair Golan, head of the center-left Democrats party, said Israel should participate in a regional coalition to rehabilitate Gaza, adding that "the fact that Hamas was able to rebuild itself in Gaza is solely Netanyahu's fault. We did not invest a single moment of effort in preventing this, and as a result, we now find ourselves in this disgraceful situation."

Powerful opinion piece summing up that civilians on both sides are bearing the brunt of hostilities.

"Israel's government, Hamas, and now Donald Trump as well, prefer investing in abstention, manipulations and quarrels.

They devote all their resources to the conflict, to the occupation, to violent resistance, to oppression and a zero-sum game, instead of cooperating in a concerted effort to attain a shared existence.

They also latch on to unrealistic fantasies of an undivided Land of Israel, de-colonization and an American Riviera in the Gaza Strip (with all-you-can-eat ice cream).

They prefer that we all suffer just so there is no appearance of the other side making some gain"

Yonatan Zeigen, whose mother, peace activist Vivian Silver, was murdered by Hamas on October 7, 2023

Great to see this. Biden and Blinken should be investigated for aiding war crimes.

Another great article how many of those with morals have lost faith in the West's support for genocide

The "liberal democracy" at work -

"At least 160 healthcare workers from Gaza, including more than 20 doctors, are believed to still be inside Israeli detention facilities as the World Health Organisation expressed deep concern about their wellbeing and safety."

The Guardian and the Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism (ARIJ) have also heard detailed testimony from seven senior doctors who claimed they were taken from hospitals, ambulances and checkpoints in Gaza, illegally transferred across the border into Israeli-run prison facilities and subjected to months of torture, beatings, starvation and inhumane treatment before being released without charge.

“Frankly, no matter how much I talk about what I experienced in detention, it is only a fraction of what truly happened,” said Dr Mohammed Abu Selmia, director of al-Shifa hospital, who was detained for seven months in Israeli prisons before being released without charge.

“I am talking about clubbing, being beaten with rifle butts and being attacked by dogs. There was little to no food, no personal hygiene, no soap inside the cells, no water, no toilet, no toilet paper … I saw people who were dying there … I was beaten so badly I couldn’t use my legs or walk. No day passes without torture.”

    Good report.

Not sure how to read the medical people who are "missing". Were they detained then went missing? That seems to be what is reported.

Utterly abhorrent behaviour and undoubtedly, more War Crimes.

At this stage, there seems to be only one war crime that has not been committed - use of WMDs.

But weren’t people on here telling us that everyone was fit and disgustingly healthy in Gaza ? No starvation or anything like that, no siree, and plenty of aid getting in !

Yeah but they didn't provide a single link to back up the bad minded claim. I asked several times for proof from one poster and provided evidence that the people, and especially children, in Gaza were suffering from severe malnutrition, which has long term effects for children. Credibility issues at a minimum.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth House?

Hamas guys are in great shape.

How do you explain that one?

Could it be the noble freedom fighters were stealing the aid that was coming in and letting their own people go hungry.

One would indeed have to wonder GG.

They seemed very quick to appear out of their tunnels when the IDF pulled back, with the usual trappings of the terrorist, the waving of guns, the masks, the flag flying and posturing.

Seems like there is a lot of 'propaganda' being loaded into the social media of the West with little regard for authenticity.

It is not propaganda to acknowledge that the Israeli leadership has been charge with the war crime of starvation by the ICC. I think they did a more in depth assessment then looking at photos on the internet.

Let the international press in then BB. Israel have banned international press since the war began. Let them in to see what's happening. We do get grim reports from healthcare workers.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth House?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 54,076 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

It could. But it could also be that they had pre4pared well for what they expected and had food and equipment stored away well in advance. Weren't we also told that they trained for Oct 7th in full view of Israeli outposts and towers.

And that's your answer to 6 newborn babies dying of cold?

    Gosh…

Just when you thought Netanyahu could go no lower… Dante's Inferno doesn't even have a level low enough for him.

And remember all the outrage here (including me) on the Hamas Hostage release circuses Funny how when Israel does something similar, and I say it's a lot worse, its typically just tumbleweed.

But here's an opportunity for those who side with Israel to vent their disgust.

    We'll see.

"On Tuesday, Ofri Bibas-Levy, Yarden's sister, said that the media, PM Netanyahu and Israeli public diplomacy channels were revealing details of the murders of her sister-in-law with no authorization, adding that "this is outright abuse of a family that has already been enduring hell for 16 months."

Hamas made a serious mistake with the parading of hostages being released. I can only speak for myself but I have less sympathy after those spectacles than before for the Palestinians.

How could they have thought that could possibly help their cause?

Then again the same group made the catastrophic mistake on Oct 7th 2023 so can't be surprised.
