Do they charge the customs their side? Or is that still to come? Was only 40 dollars to start with

They can initiate the customs clearance when it's in the US. The details are sent through electronically so it could be cleared before it arrives.

It was always weight based from the US, they've just increased the prices.

    It's a huge increase.

    0-2kg was €15.99, now €20.

    2-5kg was €20.99, now €30.

    5-10kg was €29.99, now €45 (!).

I've barely used AP since discovering FishIsFast, but that's because I buy a lot of small things and happy to build up a bundle over a few weeks/months and then get them all shipped as one.

Any better alternative to Addresspal for UK stuff? I tried Postal Pickup, but the problem with them is that they use Fastway, and Fastway, as we know, are a complete shower.

    Not really.

So, we'll all just be taking the price increase on the chin, then?

That's usually why they put up the prices; when there is no competition.

Another fairly big and important update - announced today that the US Hub Address is changing from 28th March. I wonder how many people might miss this and get something shipped to the old address.

Delaware doesn't have sales tax, so this will work out cheaper even after the price increase for items over the following values:

    Weight band

    EUR

    USD

    0-2kg

    €61

    $64

    2-5Kg

    €136

    $142

    5-10Kg

    €227

    $237

    10-15Kg

    €272

    $283

    15-20Kg

    €318

    $331

anyone else having issues getting websites to allow the Delaware address? it seems because of their state laws a lot of websites do not ship to Delaware. Alcohol products like wine are a complete no go too, had no problems with the Jersey address.
