If anyone missed the Parisienne Café modular, I'm selling mine along with the LED kit for it:

I'll check again in a few weeks, just looking for one to add to castle set.

The scanning wasn't too bad, had the small fella holding 3 packs at a time to scan, then putting them back on hanger.

Yeah you will get him at some point. Think problem is some people buying it up to resell at a profit. Can see it on adverts, 1 person has 40 of them selling them and others a lot as well.

    40!! Scalpers.

There was a lot of people anticipating the release of this wave, but once they've been out a while the demand should ease off.

Yup, 400 for 40. Crazy. Yeah that's it just a really good minifigure in this wave and highly sought after.

    Update:

Got a whatsapp yesterday from DHL saying something shipped from Lego to me. Bit strange that I didnt get any email update from Lego themselves. Package shows it was processed in Amsterdam at 06:30 this morning. And also shows delivery by end of friday, which seems very optimistic to me, but doable.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,326 ✭✭✭RGARDINR

That's great that was sent but I always get an email saying my brick a pick orders have been sent. Least you will have them by Friday anyway. I think I will have to get onto lego soon as have 2 pick a brick orders in a good while. Says 40 business days you should have them, 1 is 41 business days and hasn't been sent, that 1 is a lot of the wolf upper torso parts and I got 1 of them already in pick a brick order other day that I done in January. Other one is standard order and is at 31 business days and hasn't been sent, so I might hold off until both hit the 40 business days they say will take and contact them then.

Package ended up stuck in DHL with customs. Nobody contacted me, not Lego or DHL, so i ended up calling them friday myself, gave them some info and it was cleared friday evening. Showing its out for delivery today.

Its still very strange I havent heard anything from Lego themselves at all about this order since their initial request for more info on 7 January. But least its nearly sorted now.

Another build ticked off the list. Much bigger than I expected and won't fit with all the other Batman stuff in the unit I have

Not sure if this is the right place to make a confession, but I feel so dirty. I bought.…a knockoff Lego set....and it's not too bad.

I've a load of sets sitting in the attic ready for some rainy day, Land Rover, Rescue Helicopter, even a Delorean, but I really wanted the motorised lighthouse. The matter of €300 was a minor issue however.

And then I see a knockoff version on Amazon for €50. Sure why not, what's the worst that can happen? Well the worst thing was in fact that it was a decent set. I'm halfway through it now, and while it has it's flaws, I'm enjoying it.

So will I be banned from the forum now 😃

Fair play now. A bit more competition with lego might see them drop their prices a bit. Just don't mix the set into the lego bricks tho that's all I would recommend now. Just shows how much of a profit lego makes per set. They are overpriced for sure so competition that does well against them might make them drop their prices.

Be good if they came out with great sets and reasonable price compared to lego and ate into their profits as it might get lego to reduce their own prices.

I remember when Lego lost the legal battle over competitors a good few years, and I felt bad for Lego. How nieve it was to be a fan of a corporate company. I'm all for profit of a well delivered product, but when I look back at prices I paid pre pandemic, and even in the early days of the pandemic, the increases now are staggering.

Does anyone know where I can find a Temu Coupon code? Ive looked all over and yet nothing. /jk

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,326 ✭✭✭RGARDINR

Yeah prices have jumped a lot. I usually wait for sets to have been reduced or a good GWP or double insider points. I wouldn't buy sets without these at all.

Trying to get my hands on a Series 27 Wolfpack minifig for a birthday present. Have the app downloaded to scan and I know the code. Reckon I have much hope of finding one in Smyths or is the gist that this is the one everyone went hunting for right away? The only one on Adverts is €12 or something

It's a tough 1 to call. I went through about 400 other wk in Blanchardstown smyths and found 2 of them. 1 for me and 1 for my youngest. It's a pain you might be lucky but it's pot luck. I just don't like given people the money for that mini figure like that on adverts. Different if army building but I don't like people buying them up and selling them like that. Just a shame lego didn't put in more of that minifigure instead of say the person with the cat in the boxes.

Bricklink sets go on sale at 4 today if people are interested in them.

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 3,096 Mod ✭✭✭✭ktulu123

Give Art & Hobby shops a go. One near me is a little out of the way and I got one on my 3rd figure scan. Smyths etc are cleaned out.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,827 ✭✭✭g0g

Thanks for the two replies and ideas. Chanced Smyths Carrickmines and picked him up two. He'll be delighted! That app is amazing - so responsive and love how it can multiscan. Does Wolf Pack defo include an actual wolf!?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,326 ✭✭✭RGARDINR

Deadly I am delighted for you. Yeah wolf is included now. You get a lot for 4 euro for that figure. Yeah scanner is great to be fair.

    Handy for people up North.

Not out until March next year sadly. But crowd funding for the set goes live some point in October 2025 and sent out in March 2026.

    That looks a fab set

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,326 ✭✭✭RGARDINR

Haha I know and a bigger wallet.

    Screenshot_20250204_193043_Samsung Internet.jpg

Have this one to be sent out next mth. The bricklink sets are on the pricey side but you might not get a set like them is the problem.
