Unlucky man Craig, bad injury when in brilliant form.

The floor manager has her work cut out to get the audience clapping as they went to the break.

Yes - a bit dull , lost a bit of pace. Is your man going on about his height - a bit faux pas these days ? also Johnny using him as a sub is taking the piss - but in fairness he is going along with it.

Have to say - as we have heard , Andy Farrell sounds a class bloke.

I only caught the fat lad/internet comedian flicking through channels. It occurred to me that he in the long list of social media “influencers” that target the low hanging fruit of the American market. More specifically the Americans want something Oirish.
Fair play for him on putting the work in, but it always seems to me that to do so for that target market you have to sell your soul a bit.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

sounds so bleak tonight it seems the guests and audience really are just worn out by the antics of the last two days’!

Darcy was a class bloke in every way - didn't come across as a typical Rugby head.

In fairness the 150th Anniversary of the IRFU has been flagged throughout last year.

The GAA has no notable anniversary this year. In 2009 it had a 3hr Late Late special for the 125th anniversary.

I think I might have some class of PTSD from last night's storm, every creak and noise I hear now I think something is going to fall off the house 😁

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,725 ✭✭✭✭FixdePitchmark

Jaysus - they could have done with people in audience that are into Rugby - a bit dead. Or are we all a bit post storm recovery and lacking sleep

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,725 ✭✭✭✭FixdePitchmark

Agree was working a but shook here myself - audience too.

Except for the damage to the derelict hotel(which is under renovation and should have been boarded up) and the blocks of apartments next door to it, the rest is fairly normal for there at high tide or storm force.

I hate when people say this, and its not because RTÉ are the public service broadcaster and that they should be providing an alternative on RTÉ2 (Not just a movie), but it is because we can have views.

I'd didn't watch last night (was watching the traitors, which was so so, but enjoyable), but when I did turn over to RTÉ ONE +1 the sound on transmission was gone.

I'd say Garron Noone is grand, I like his stuff and it is good to see RTÉ and TLLS hosting an Irish Comedian (rare enough during tubs time on the show).

But to go from a GAA themed show over to a IRFU themed show is a bit much, many viewers have no interest in sport, many others have no interest in people talking about sport. So a line up of Andy Farrell, Aoife Wafer, Erin King, Rory Best, Gordon D'Arcy and Craig Casey following Pat Spillane et Al from last week isn't an attractive prospect. As for Paul Howard he's intrinsically linked to Rugby.

Followed by Irish Women in Harmony as musical guests.

It's a very narrow group of people IMO.

But do I watch TLLS? No I don't, so who am I to complain? Well who has the right to say this was the greatest episode of the TLLS ever, anyone if they so wish.

While Garron had the live audience in stitches delivering the same japes that made him 'internet famous', many at home were straight on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, to ask 'Garron who?'.

    Source of above link!

Says allot about the Irish Audience of the show, Tiktok must not be as popular here as 'Simon Harris' thinks!

I tuned out (not over, on in the background) after his interview, because not into sport. Readers and poster's here are well aware of who he is!

For anyone, who couldn't tune in last night, power outages below has links to the feeds and highlights!

Garron popped up on my You Tube feed, he is humourous I enjoy his "shorts" basically YouTube's TikTok. It will be interesting to see what the audience numbers are like with 800k households without power.

Mother of Devine jayyysus . One hundred and fifty years of rugby history and this is the best thing can come up with to celebrate the event. From the left. Craig Casey. Great player who can’t stop commenting on his height or lack of. Two ladies who I’ve never heard of and I wish them the best in their careers And then we have Rory Best. Probably one of the best players to captain Ireland but couldn’t make a script written by Billy Connelly and Peter kaye sound funny.
Rugby . A sport renowned for its characters deserves better.

    There's another one starting now.

    Good stuff.

I discovered Garron browsing Instagram reels.

    Thought he was funny.

    Followed his page.

Got bored of the same Irish 'relateable' jokes

    Unfollowed.

I was browsing Youtube and there's a youtube shorts clip in my feed with the caption "you haven't tried a chicken fillet roll?" which sums it up.

The same old chicken fillet roll, wooden spoon, Irish mammy stuff.

I'm soooo tired of it. The common things people do, made into a sketch. Like the "when you're waiting for a takeaway but you wait 10 seconds after the doorbell so they don't know you're waiting at the door for it" rubbish.

Irish comedy is pathetic right now. There's no up and comer who can do decent standup. They're all these sketch artists which is ok for online but doesn't translate to being funny in a gig.

RTE must be struggling for Late Late content.

Most of the shows will be 'specials' soon.

So far this year, there's been trad special, gaa special and Friday was rugby special.

Valentines special coming up. Then a paddys day special.
