I was only thinking that tonight but TBH, I’d probably hate it -it would have to be live and unedited and just done differently - I don’t want to be at the mercy of some video editor and show producer manipulating my emotions - just show it to me live and I’ll make my own mind up

Yeah I agree. It's easy for us viewers to slag off the faithfuls but I know for sure I would end up probably near enough to what we see as stupidity in that game as would most people. And most definitely, the social aspect is often overlooked by viewers but it can be very real in the game plus herd mentality is very real. But half the fun is slagging them off.

I've followed a werewolf game on here and I don't know how anyone kept up with all the lies and distractions and who said what where and when.

I hope it is and Joe is a goner, I thought Leanne was shown in the next episode preview

play a version of it here on boards. see what it is like for yourself.

I thought Francesca was going to out Charlotte as someone who mentioned Minah at the round table banishment talk but she did not, also was it Freddie and Leanne that Charlotte mentioned Minah to only?

I really like Alexander, supposedly the Internet has exploded and love him after last night's episode and then tonight he said he would give his money to charity, they will be lining up to marry him😁 although he could be gay.

Really I couldn't care less about the rest of those left, Charlotte is playing a blinder though absolutely ruthless bye bye Minah she will stab you in the back😁

There were way more likeable characters last year.

They did it last series at the same point; only the episode leading to the final week.

I reckon it's Leanne gone cos the "sisterhood" are very very fond of murdering other women. In fact, with the exception of Keith, all the murders have been women. Why change the habit of a lifetime?

There's no way they'd kill Joe surely. Why would you as a traitor, having a useful/useless idiot like him on the other side is your strongest weapon. The smart play is to kill Jake, unlike the other two candidates he actually seems to have a few brain cells in there somewhere.

Regarding the issue with the show compared to last year, it's definitely the casting this year. The idea behind the casting is that they try to cast nice people because the format will do the work of making them turn nasty on each other. But they unfortunately cast a few absolute weapons this year - Dan, Joe, Leanne and Livi in particular - and they've dragged the whole thing down while systematically banishing most of the decent ones out of stupidity. Fully expect them to do the same to Alexander, who along with Freddie are the only sound faithfuls left.

On the roundtable, I actually don't think Minah defended herself that well, she seemed completely blindsided by the mere mention of her name and was very deflective of the (admittedly mild) accusations her way. You can tell Charlotte is itching to throw her under the bus. Minah surely isn't as naive as she's being portrayed, could it be that she's got a bit complacent?

Hoping that the power is related to that seer book, it would be great to see the faithful get some small hints of how many traitors remain even as I think the deck was rather harshly stacked against them the night of the recruitment and murder double, with no notion or inclination as to what happened.

The issue with Joe from the traitors perspective is that he's a bit of a loose canon. If he decides ita Minah/Charlotte he'll go gung ho for them and he's successful enough at getting them out.

I don't think intelligence matters much tbh. It's almost impossible to work out. There's no real clues. The smartest there seems Alexander and he's no idea.

I'd murder Joe and just be nice to Leanne for one more day to keep her onside.

Claudia said on Graham Norton there was lots of twists this series and hopefully there is for the final few episodes

With only 7 left and 2 round tables I assume there will be no murders next week or maybe only one murder? 4 or 5 left in the final - can't remember how many were in the final last year, was it 4?

Just checked - 5 in the final

this. this is what i was thinking too. joe is the next/best kill to survive. it may not make sense to some, but bren has it.

Many thanks - I just wouldn’t have the time but I’ll keep an eye on it and see if I can figure out what the hell is going on and how to play it - maybe when I’ve more time I’ll elect - I think I put my name down some months ago for something else then life got in the way - don’t want to commit and then back out - looks like someone has gone to a lot of trouble to make that game

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,219 ✭✭✭Neowise

yes. but the game is only as good as the players. watch. get intrigued. then play. that is a good strategy. I'm impressed.

I agree re Joe, get rid because, for some reason, he is quite influential.
Possibly because he makes his extremely whiny voice heard and the others are mostly easily led. I want him murdered anyway because he is such a dose, and then Leanne after that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 6,816 ✭✭✭archfi

This is a good opinion on why series 3 is possibly the downward spiral of the show.

Good possible solution profferred being casting crew shouldn't cast big fans of the show, weed them out.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 440 ✭✭CiaranW

they should murder Leanne, as Leanne now believes that Francesca is not a traitor.
Jake still firmly believes Francesca is a traitor.
Keep Joe, as he still has his eyes on Alexander.

I still want Alexander or Minah to win.

It felt she was close to alright!

They are the ones I remember...but given the atmosphere I am sure it will come up at some stage!

That’s a good article. I think they’re close enough to the key issue- the participants are two aware and are just trying to second guess the producers as opposed to actually concentrate on each other and actually play the game.

I was thinking similar the other day- even at only season 3, it’s becoming a bit formulaic - if there’s to be a season 4 it needs to change radically -but I’m not sure how- definitely less participants - audience needs time to get to know them - maybe a bit more interference from the producers- if you’re voting for too many faithfuls you yourself could be murdered - so maybe the first person who has voted 5 faithfuls in a row- you’re then murdered (includes traitors which means they’ll have to vote for each other at some point to avoid this happening)

Seer ability coming next episode. Someone will be able to pick another contestant and 'see' what role they have. Probably has to be played during the night

they’ve already tried to expose the traitors by making them run around the house to complete a task -I’m not sure continuing to be a traitor is the best option now 😀

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,219 ✭✭✭Neowise

Simple fix to that. Just randomize the selection process and tell the contestants the selection process was made at random. TV producers need to respect the rand and let the game play out.

The contestants then can't use those 'what would the producers do' excuses.

I'm still very much enjoying this series, but it's definitely the weakest UK edition yet. I don't think there's anything wrong with the format though, I think it's just the cast that's the issue this year. So many deeply unlikeable people. Although to be fair to the production team, they probably couldn't have foreseen just how unlikeable both Joe and Leanne would turn out to be. They were probably also expecting Lisa to be much better, but she turned out to be a nothing contestant.

I also think they need to do away with this 'twist' of people being eliminated in the first episode and returning at a later stage. Alexander and Fozia were two of this years better contestants yet weren't really given a chance on their return (although we obviously still don't know how it'll ultimately play out for Alexander). Just let everyone show up on day one and give them a fair crack of the whip.

I thought fosia was one of the better players of this season, jack got such a raw deal.

The only good side to the twist is that if fosia was there on the first day, then we might have to have suffered more of yin, as the traitors would probably have killed fosia over yin.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,847 ✭✭✭bren2001

Jack willingly got off the train. Hard to say any of them got a raw deal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 92,394 ✭✭✭✭JP Liz V1

Fadder Lisa got more interesting and vocal just before her murder, she named both traitors but voted to banish a faithful

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators, Paid Member Posts: 8,683 Mod ✭✭✭✭HildaOgdenx

    Me too. Really enjoying it.
I suppose like all these things it has a shelf life, and can't run on forever. I thought Leanne would be a better participant than she turned out to be. Joe was pretty much unlikeable from the start, imo.

I agree re the twist. It needs a different slant now than three people apparently being ejected and then reappearing. I'd also like to have seen what the other guy (with the mullet) would have been like. It must be a bit disappointing to never actually get into the game at all.

I hope Alexander gets some of the dosh. He comes across as a genuinely decent skin.
