    ^ Envy the Frank dedication!

Got an email this morning saying that I could purchase on the waitlist for the "sold out" 3000th show.. already bought for the Academy and in London in mid-March so couldn't warrant another trip.

Saw him 3 times in 1 day this year can probably leave it there.

Eric Cantona, Scissor Sisters, Ricky Gervais confirmed, maybe Limp Bizkit too.

If Sparks and Neil Young are touring I'll pick them up somewhere as well.

From the wesht so I may as well go abroad and make a holiday of it for gigs instead of paying Dublin prices but that obviously limits how many I get to go to. So all I have next year so far are:

    Kerbdog - Limerick

    Iron Maiden - Budapest

    Till Lindemann - Dusseldorf

    Helloween - Stuttgart

    The Lathums

    Inhaler

    Olivia Rodrigo

    Weezer

My first event of the year last night. An intimate event with Stuart Murdoch in Books Upstairs, reading from his novel, an interview with Lauren Murphy, a brief audience Q&A and two Belle and Sebastian songs to conclude. Thoroughly enjoyable. Like a gathering in someone's living room.

2025 Gigs and Events: Stuart Murdoch, Lyle Lovett, Stuart Murdoch, Wolf Alice, Camera Obscura, Rewind Festival, The Corrs/Imelda May/Natalie Imbruglia, Iron Maiden, Neil Young/Van Morrison, Lana Del Rey, Weezer, Sparks, The Doobie Brothers, Billie Eilish (x2), Oasis, Sharon Van Etten, The Human League, Priscilla Presley, Deacon Blue, Gillian Welch and David Rawlings (x2), Stuart Maconie, Nerina Pallot, Nicola Benedetti, Wolf Alice

Very much enjoyed Madeleine Peyroux, she sang as beautifully live as she does on record and seems like a down to earth person. Support act Joy Clark was also very good.

Since the above post I've also gotten a ticket for:

Villagers at Helix Theatre in May (have never been to that venue before).

Jimmy Eat World at Olympia in June, three days after Iggy

Patti Smith at 3Arena in October (saw her at Vicar Street last year and she was sublime, so couldn't spurn the opportunity to see her again)

Also a few sold-out gigs I don't have a ticket for but checking periodically to see if any resales become available; Loreen, Djo and MBV.

That week in June will be great

Stereophonics on the 6th, Iggy on the 7th and Jimmy Eat World on the 11th

Only hotel i could find that was reasonably priced for the 6th is in Bray (Firefly). Still €126 for 1 night which is far from 'reasonable'

It's ridiculous, the more I see him the more times I want to go see him again... Last night was just fantabulous
