this has been the way since Brexit. Ordered one item for delivery Friday with 3 for delivery 23rd all now coming Friday.

Don’t know the reason for it but it’s been this way for a few years.

I get the ferry delays causing issues but what items are sitting in that giant warehouse in Naas as I can't find anything that will now be here by the 25th 🤔

Why will it have to be checked again? All sorts of goods are shipped through Belfast.

I noticed on Sunday night (not today) that anything I needed wasn't going to be delivered until 23 December. It jumped from 16th to 23rd December overnight. Maybe it was the storms and port damage. Hard to believe Amazon themselves are happy with this as they will lose that critical 14 days before Christmas. It was never this bad before.

However maybe its a good thing. The items I needed I was able to buy in Ireland on Lenehans.ie and they were already delivered yesterday (Tuesday)!! May this be a lesson to us to source more of what we need here in Ireland. Amazon is the lazy option and I include myself in this! I was also able to get a 2nd item I needed from Boots for a 1/3 of the price Amazon was charging and the other things I bought in actual shops in Kenmare today!

    That's not really true though.

These extended delivery times are not the norm for prime members, even or this time of the year.

Stuff I ordered on the 8th cleared customs in Dublin this morning so stuff seems to be moving but in random order. Stuff I ordered on the 5th still stuck. Both came through Irlam.

As if the port closure wasn't problem enough, it's worth bearing in mind that the new GPSR measures are in effect as of tomorrow (Dec 13). While I'm sure supplied-by-Amazon products are compliant, I wouldn't be too sure that Marketplace suppliers have prepared all their documentation and nominated their EU representatives yet …

Irish Ferries have cancelled all their Holyhead - Dublin sailings up to Saturday now, and Stena Line have no sailings until 10am tomorrow. I wonder are they repositioning their ships or, using the 2 ships to clear some of the backlog? Sterna Line own Holyhead so could also be using their vessels to make sure everything is OK first

This happens actually often happens after a Black Friday/Cyber Monday event . Leadtime get pushed out massively to Ireland after the event but it's actually AN Post that are driving the dates in most cases here.

Items delivered by AMZ truck are already backlogged due them coming up with UK and Ireland Black Friday but you'll get within a few days if Amazon delivering. We ordered 3 items on Monday , all arrived by AMZ today. Also depending what fulfilment centre in UK or Ireland is shipping your items. The storms will have played a small bit into this as well.

On the other hand , my other orders seem to with An post so there's another week to wait ! All year an post have been delivering my AMZ iems 24-48 later than advised and recently bought a PS5 game on adverts.ie that took a week to arrive by standard post. Dates always get hazy on AMZ around this time of year but generally delivery will be before the 23rd . It's just an ETA window advised mainly by an post

I'm getting a couple of orders split into two separate deliveries now….

Ordered two pairs of trousers (2 of the same item and same size) from New Look and for some reason they split the order into two separate deliveries? No idea when they will get here.

Ordered about 12 items from Boots.ie nearly two weeks ago, and received one package today (An Post) with 4 or 5 items in it, checked tracking on the remainder of the order, and it says An Post has not received the other package.

Addresspal (both US and UK) have ground to a crawl, but in fairness I expected that.

All the parcels I sent to the UK on Monday via UPS still say delayed, and one I sent to Bulgaria (estimated delivery by end of today) - the tracking says it is in Germany.

Stena Adventurer is moored off Holyhead. Stena Vision is heading for Holyhead, but no sign of anything being able to dock.

Is there any word on what the problem is? The most the media seem to say is "Infrastructure damage".

Looks like a lot of items I had ordered have had their delivery dates change from 28-30th to 18-20th now.
