I have been unable to use Amazon.ie for months.

I think its probably because when I ordered some parts for a PC I was building, I cancelled a graphics card purchase after it had gone through when I realised it was inferior to what I wanted. Amazon may have wondered if the person using the card was the owner, but it is.

There is no "contact us" form or number on the website.

The website is quite paranoid. If you make an error, or an unusual payment decision like cancelling a purchase, it can lock your account, pobably assuming its fraud. I'm looking on Facebook to see whether I can contact them there.

They did help me months ago on the website when this happened once it twice before but the website is so labyrinthine for customer care that I dont know if the form is still there or not.

My tendency to change my mind during purchasing decisions might be the problem. But I wanted to make sure this PC would last a long time, and could handle the best games, while keeping within a budget.

Sounds like it's your behaviour to be honest. Maybe decide before actually placing the orders in future. Too many returns or cancellations will lead many sites to block accounts.

A lot of the time people tend to assume that if the graphics card has a bigger number in its name, its more advanced. I googled the card I had ordered and realised it was not a great card even compared to my old one so I cancelled, but left it till after it had gone through.

I can't say I cancel a massive amount of stuff but rarely a month goes by when I don't cancel something. I had a period when I was on again off again over a couple of mobile phones when I thought mine had packed up (a reset sorted it) and my son wanted a phone. So had a phones ordered and canceled twice. Just before that I even had a really weird happening when someone bought an iPhone on my account but never paid for it. I'd also add it would also be rare for a month to go by when I don't get a refund when there is a problem - recently fake USB keys, dead SD card and wrong item sent (didn't have to return any of them). I did worry after hearing stories about peoples accounts being cancelled but stopped worrying as it never happened (yet) and I can always open another account with a different email address and CC.

Wake me up when it's all over.
