    Probably Haaland/Semenyo > Salah/J.Pedro for a -4

Ye finally time to dump Haaland, even a goal game isn't enough now to justify just wish done it sooner, Pedro and Cunha innlast night and 9m in the bank with a view to palmer and isak in the following week

Done these last night before changes Haaland → Cunha

    Diaz → Salah

    Mitoma → Palmer

Not having Salah is wrecking my season. Would like to keep Palmer but he is the simplest route to Salah since I sold Alexander-Arnold last week. Think I will go Palmer to Salah before Salah goes up in price tonight.

    Wood to Pedro

    Do you have Haaland?

Salah absolutely wrecked my weekend, just have to get him in and think my loyalty to Haaland is done so that’s the obvious way for me and thinking of keeping Palmer.

Was planning on Lewis to RAN or Veltman and keep Haaland but if Isak goes well tonight and City are poor in CL its tempting to move for Isak

I said this someone else but if you got Palmer in after his 25 point haul - would you be happy with his returns given his price?

I was lucky that I had him for the 25 point haul but since then, he's been a big disappointment.
Averaging 4 points per game since that haul (6 games) is not what you'd expect for nearly 11mil. In fairness, in that time he has played Liverpool, Newcastle, Man United and Arsenal.

For context, Saka is averaging 7 points per game in his last 6 and he only played 5 of them.

He's a keep for now but I'd have expected something v Leicester. His explosiveness is key too.

I just can't understand how people have Palmer but not Salah - when Salah is picking up double digit score nearly every other game. If Liverpool Score, Salah is nearly always involved. If Chelsea score - it just as likely to be Jackson than Palmer

My dilemma is Palmer and Salah or Haaland and Salah.

One of Palmer and Haaland need to be sold to raise the funds for Salah. Actually seriously contemplating wildcarding this week.

    I'd bin Haaland myself.

    Go with Palmer & Salah.

Yeah Palmer has been a disappointment since the Brighton game but happy to hang onto him for a couple more games as I expect some returns.

Would like a double digit return tonight from the meerkat and a clean sheet.

Have Haaland but think I'll hold for now. Only the one free transfer and might get Palmer back in a few weeks if dumping Haaland then.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 333 ✭✭nice bit of green

sold Trent and bought Van Hecke of Brighton fame.

Think tonight has decided my Isak vs Jackson debate. Newcastle still too inconsistent. Jackson has the form, fixtures and availability.

One week too late for me. I'm going to have to go with Isak for the foreseeable, but I would pick Jackson going forwards.

Isak was frustrating tonight to watch. I was seeing a move to Jackson alright earlier and seeing what I could do with the extra cash then.

We need to talk about Erling. Got him in GW4 on WC so missed his 2 hauls but it's time to get rid probably for Cunha or Jackson

I'm also on team dump Haaland but two things holding me back: 1) he's a decent captaincy pick GW14, and 2) I'd like him back for his good fixture run in GW18.

I still think I'll move him on. With the extra FTs this year, he can be bought back fairly easily for around GW18 anyway.

    Ait Nouri in for me.

What about Palmer and Isak to Saka and Jackson. I have the free transfers. Only brought Isak in last week but I don't know why because the jury is still out on him for me.

Or I could actually go Mbeuno and Isak to Saka and Jackson. This would mean doubling up on Chelsea attack with might not be a bad thing but I think I want to hold Mbueno for Leicester

EBH to Cunha done pre changes

Might get Saka in for a hit

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,388 ✭✭✭✭Father Hernandez

By all means, go for those transfers if you want to.

But I'd think it's madness getting rid of Isak after 1 GW for someone else unless you need the extra money, you can't have everyone and it feels like you're chasing last weeks points.

It's disappointing Isak only got 2 points but this was from an xGI of 0.73. Jackson got 12 points from 0.59 xGI. Stats and data don't tell the full story of course (looking at you Haaland), football is to be viewed with your eyes but the data can help massively for FPL. It's not like Isak wasn't involved, he was and was just unlucky on occasion here.

Both teams have good fixtures coming up and I'd like to think both players will score similar over the next 5 GW's, a lot of it will come down to luck. IMO, Palmer is still Chelsea's number 1 talisman, Isak is Newcastle's and maybe a slight concern with Wilson back in the frame.

This comment could haunt me in 5 weeks time but as someone who has brought Isak in, I'm not concerned. Would I prefer Jackson? It's subjective. Happy enough to cover Jackson with Palmer. The free transfers might be better well spent. I'd also hold Mbeumo this week and then have a plan to get rid as their fixtures turn and he has been relatively quiet in their last 3 games.

Thanks. Good to have another perspective. Food for thought there

I’m in the exact same position and I think I’ll sell Palmer. This also saves on having to take a -4.

From watching both and looking at the stats I think Haaland is a lot more likely to start banging in goals than Palmer. He’s still getting bucket loads of chances, he won’t keep missing them. 2 in the champions league Tuesday night too is encouraging.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,500 ✭✭✭✭shmeee

I'd be Haaland and Salah if not going on WC. I WC'd last week with no Haaland, and funds were used around the whole team. Haaland can't keep not returning also.....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,173 ✭✭✭Officer999

I’ve wildcarded and Haaland is gone.

Midfield consists of Salah, Saka, Palmer and Bruno so Haaland had to make way. I feel uneasy about not having him but it’s a lot of money on one player in a team who look like a mess at the minute.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,029 ✭✭✭✭Ace2007

don’t think Bruno is really going to offer much for his price, and Palmer is currently living off what he could do, not what he’s doing. Haaland will click again and when he does you’ll want him back and it won’t be easy given his price

Anyone reckon Brennan Johnson will start at the weekend after his cameo in the big win over City?

Bruno is a punt but could be a very worthwhile one, I'd not be taking it at this moment, personally
