Probably Haaland/Semenyo > Salah/J.Pedro for a -4
Brave move, what a great shout!
I forgot about the Friday game & deadline, and went with this. Worked out, flukily enough. Could have done with VVD instead of Ait-Nouri, and Sels instead of Raya.
Did all 3 for a -8. 26 points up already!
This comment haunts me not even 24 hours into GW13.
Did Haaland/Semenyo out for Cunha/Saka for a hit and also have Cunha the armband
Need to sort out my Defs/ Fodder. If Gabriel doesn't feature I'm fooked only have Keane or Bednarek for cover
I've captained Cunha because I'm so far behind I don't care anymore
I'll going to move Konate to a playing defender to at least have a sub who can come in.
Did Haaland & Semenyo to Jackson & Saka for -4. Weighing up Maddison to Palmer for another hit.
Arteta is a serial spoofer when it comes to revealing the extent of injuries and if players will play. I'd imagine he is fine but make sure you're happy with your first DF sub.
I actually may move Konate on now, news just out he will miss 5-6 weeks.
I hope Gabriel is fit as won't have cover.
Quote: Mikel Arteta said only he would "wait and see" on Gabriel and a few other players who haven't trained yet.
Lewis to RAN done, giving EBH another couple of weeks
I'd be shipping out Robinson and prob getting Gabriel or Timber depending if you need the funds.
Can’t remember a GW that my team has been so open to a variety of captain picks!
Mbueno is averaging 10 points per game at home, you have to start him v LEI, imo.
Is Brennan Johnson to Saka worth a -4?
I presume you're gonna start Mbeumo this week? But over who... Welbeck would be my call.
Get in an Arsenal defender and go double.
I don't think I'm doing anything, I'm just not feeling inspired at all. It doesn't help that I have had an utterly brutal few weeks.
Raya
Aina Roninson Ait-Nouri
Salah Palmer Mitoma Diaz
Wood© Wissa Welbeck
Bench: Sels, Mbeumo, VVD, Lewis
Any advice would be warmly welcome. I have 1 FT and 3.6 ITB
Thanks…Van Heck sounds perfect....I have serious buyers remorse after bringing in Keane and Robertson.
I'm expecting one of my defenders to miss out this week so I suspect the decision about who to start won't matter too much
Would you go into double Brighton then, J.Pedeo and the likes of Van Heck (boring but solid fixtures coming up and 90 mins guy).
What 3 defenders to start this GW??
Need some advice lads....
Only have 1 FT and willing to take a max of 1 hit.
My current thinking is Stewart and Keane out for J.Pedro and a reliable defender
The big plus about Bruno is he’s a nailed on starter. United attacking players all look tempting after last night’s game but all are a rotation risk bar Bruno
Bruno is a punt but could be a very worthwhile one, I'd not be taking it at this moment, personally
Anyone reckon Brennan Johnson will start at the weekend after his cameo in the big win over City?
don’t think Bruno is really going to offer much for his price, and Palmer is currently living off what he could do, not what he’s doing. Haaland will click again and when he does you’ll want him back and it won’t be easy given his price
I’ve wildcarded and Haaland is gone. Midfield consists of Salah, Saka, Palmer and Bruno so Haaland had to make way. I feel uneasy about not having him but it’s a lot of money on one player in a team who look like a mess at the minute.
I'd be Haaland and Salah if not going on WC. I WC'd last week with no Haaland, and funds were used around the whole team. Haaland can't keep not returning also.....
I’m in the exact same position and I think I’ll sell Palmer. This also saves on having to take a -4.
From watching both and looking at the stats I think Haaland is a lot more likely to start banging in goals than Palmer. He’s still getting bucket loads of chances, he won’t keep missing them. 2 in the champions league Tuesday night too is encouraging.
Thanks. Good to have another perspective. Food for thought there
By all means, go for those transfers if you want to.
But I'd think it's madness getting rid of Isak after 1 GW for someone else unless you need the extra money, you can't have everyone and it feels like you're chasing last weeks points.
It's disappointing Isak only got 2 points but this was from an xGI of 0.73. Jackson got 12 points from 0.59 xGI. Stats and data don't tell the full story of course (looking at you Haaland), football is to be viewed with your eyes but the data can help massively for FPL. It's not like Isak wasn't involved, he was and was just unlucky on occasion here.
Both teams have good fixtures coming up and I'd like to think both players will score similar over the next 5 GW's, a lot of it will come down to luck. IMO, Palmer is still Chelsea's number 1 talisman, Isak is Newcastle's and maybe a slight concern with Wilson back in the frame.
This comment could haunt me in 5 weeks time but as someone who has brought Isak in, I'm not concerned. Would I prefer Jackson? It's subjective. Happy enough to cover Jackson with Palmer. The free transfers might be better well spent. I'd also hold Mbeumo this week and then have a plan to get rid as their fixtures turn and he has been relatively quiet in their last 3 games.
