The one time I have a bit of craving for a wrap (gooey goodness of tuna, coleslaw and tomato) happens to be the one time they don't seem to be stocked at the moment in the Aldi next door to work that I use for its handiness.

Haven't seen any on the shelves in over a week, be it tortilla, fajita, wholemeal or plain, and haven't heard of any publicised shortage either.

clothes shopping in the Pavillions. Needed T-shirts and boxers…if I was 5’6” or 6’7” there was plenty of everything to fit me, Small, medium or XXL… literally hundreds of stock items…

My size L / XL ? Two big shops and nope. Yes it’s Monday and maybe just sold loads of stock. But TA’d that I was only free today to shop and secondly that neither shop could be arsed having stock of sizes…about 20km round trip.. and walked out at 4pm with one purchase…a 3 pack of boxers so mostly a wasted trip. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Same here with jeans or combats in Guiney’s in Limerick. The only sizes usually left are either for emaciated beanpoles or morbidly obese dwarves.

I hadn't realised that the ends of the bridge had railings taken away and steps made smaller to make it harder for people to sit and beg there, hostile architecture.

Sib who spends most of his time in a fog, was due back to the dr's for bloods yes. On the way out of his house, I shouted up to remind him to bring cash in case there was a charge(this was responded to with "what"?)and assurance that it was a nominal cost on his card(the one I "forced" him to get)

Anyway, it was not free and he is raging at me about it all day ta1, see also him being so annoyed at this, he didn't listen to when/how the results will arrive and how ta2, dont even get me started on the use of the word nominal in this context.

price of designer sunglasses. On the Ray-Ban site it’s now costing €163 for a standard pair of wayfarers which are 90% just mass produced plastic frames. Anything special edition and it’s well over €200….

Post pandemic and the prices seem to have gone up around 30%.

Dark cold night busy road, fella casually walking his scooter across to median of road. Dressed like what I can only describe as a ninja. Head to toe in black.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

I've said it before, but people gatekeeping seats on busy buses by sitting on the outside and putting their bag beside them. I think I'll start sitting beside them even when there are other seats.

Tractors that have plenty of opportunities to pull in and let traffic pass but instead keep a line of cars behind him for about 5k !!

Further drama about the damn sunglasses. Finally went to buy a new pair - specsavers doing 2 for £70, other sites cost £40 for one. That's a no brainer right? No of course not. Specsavers, despite me having my prescription from August, won't let me order the glasses online because of my 'Special Prescription'. My eyes are not really bad, nothing weird about them, it's a normal prescription. But they want me to go back in for another eye exam before they'll let me make a purchase. So they can fcuk right off. Money grabbing baxtards.

In a similar vein, they wouldn't accept an order for contact lenses off my sister recently because she didn't get a specific 'contact lens eye exam' done in June when she had her eye test. But the optician didn't mention any specific extra test that needs done for contact lenses and she's had them for years without an issue. So it just stinks of Ryanair tactics.

They're diabolically bad. They should change their slogan to "Thank God you didn't go to Specsavers."

The downwards escalator near the main entrance in work has been out of order two weeks now. The genius building designers somehow forgot to incorporate a standard staircase into the design. This means that the only way people can reach the main exit is by using two clunky lifts which take an infuriatingly long time.

The "Beos", Cork Beo, Galway Beo.

    Anything slightly off is "eerie".

Any cafe that closes was "much loved" even if it isn't.

I was in that building yesterday, there are other exits available at street level in the event of fire.

News reports from correspondents which adds nothing at all to the bried headline that the presenter reads out.

News At One, just had a presenter tell us about the US man killed in a hotel. Gave us a decent bit of info, then went over to S Hussey who spoke for another 3 mins or so and told us absolutely nothing extra, except it was a posh hotel, a lot of locals work there, it has high walls, is 600 acres, is 5 star, George Clooney and the missus stayed there......all totally irrelevant to the story.

The other exits lead onto a different street however which is a pain, especially if you’re in a rush for a bus

You'd worry about the future when there is so much hand-holding going on now and they don't have to face adversity.

My TA: have a damn insect bite and subsequent allergic reaction right in the middle of my palm. Going around like Padre Pio. And what's worse, I can't relieve the itchiness that happens everytime it brushes against something because I think I strain something in my other hand as it hurts when I clasp things.

Prob not the first person to say this, but the simon harris, "A New Energy" poster(which is freaking everywhere atm), has two ta's for me, the tricolour background makes it look like it's from fash based party(yes I know the history of fg), Ta2 that ghostly photo of simon, but they need another look or at least get simon in for a grey break therapy.

Popped in for a pint into a small old pub with a big roaring fire. Room with the fire has seven tables, three of which were occupied by normal people enjoying the heat.

The other four tables were completely taken over by a grand total of two eejits. Coats and scarves scattered everywhere, sitting at one with their beer on the next. When i said, sorry are all these tables taken, one of them looked at me like id just asked if i could shoot his dog as he said no and shuffled half an inch over.

I promptly sat my cold arse down right beside them, and then let the most wonderful SBD.

My trivial annoyance is that for the second time in a year, I couldn't give blood because my iron levels were 0.1 below the limit for the finger-prick test. (13.4 instead of 13.5). And for the second time, they tested my reading from my arm, which was 14.5 when it only needs to be 14, but because they had 'broken' that vein, they couldn't use it again, and my other veins wouldn't come out to play, probably because I was a bit dehydrated after been at a gig last night.

    Ah well, I tried…

I'm not going against your annoyance because it's perfectly valid, but if I have to sit in a regular bus seat, I'll usually stay on the outside seat for the extra legroom from the aisle. Depending on the type of bus, I try to find a spot with more room, like at an emergency exit but that's not always possible.

I really can't adequately convey how sick of roadworks I am. They were always ubiquitous at this time.of year, but for the past two years or so they're just everywhere, all the time.
